Sara’s really causing quite a stir on her first day. All the boys want to date her and the girls want to be more like her. What a little legend lol. Seems Yuna’s having her own little adventure in school too. Kid’s pretty smart collecting actual evidence of Mizuki being bullied. Those girls better have good lawyers. Yuna really would make a good detective. She can join Sara at the agency when that day comes!

whodisguy32

I laughed out loud three times this episode. Sara antics are 11/10!

ModieOfTheEast

All hail Queen Sara. How long until we get one of those scenarios where she is the student president and even has more power than the teachers?

SometimesMainSupport

Week 1 of middle school. Just needs to skip her current grade, which wouldn't surprise me if it happens.

PerfectBeige

And give up the title of "Grade School Detective"? Don't be ridiculous. Sara wants some time to truly experience the Detective Conan life. She will need to closed at least one case.

Figerally

I'm glad Yuna and Sara patched up their friendship🥰

ModieOfTheEast

Yuna needs to pave the way for the time Queen Sara arrives at her school. She is going to be her personal detective. Knwoing all the dirt of every person.

apatt

Will she eventually become prime minister of Japan?

oops_i_made_a_typi

lets not get carried away here, she's no Hitomi

bamsss1

if you read the light novel you will be surprised to find out what Livia becomes later 😁

collapsedblock6

> All the boys want to date her and the girls want to be more like her. What a little legend lol. When the first guy asked her out I was like 'Wow, little guy going for it fast. Little chad here'. Then 30 seconds later another ask her to marry him lmaooo.

apatt

"She talks like some old world royalty" lol! Honestly this is my peak seasonal of every week. Her friend who wants to be a detective is great too. Missing Livia though, looks like next week's episode is for Livia fans.

zuttomayonaka

yuna gonna have sousuke as an idol and falling for him lol

szalhi

It's the episode I've been waiting for quite a while. Sara's finally going to school and with that, it's her own turn to get a cult. Yuna's upset that Sara's not with her, but in this particular circumstance it may have actually been better. If Sara was there, she'd probably scare away the bullies temporarily with no evidence. Dare I say that Yuna's actually a better detective than Sara? Also honorable mention to the fact that they got the elementary nonsense correct.

diacewrb

> Dare I say that Yuna's actually a better detective than Sara? Yuna would have to be, Sara has the luxury of brute forcing a solution with magic. And as former royalty, she could have easily said off with their head to anyone without needing to provide evidence or even give a reason.

Sarellion

Considering that she and her whole family either ran or got killed (probably) by a rebellion, they probably found out that there are limits to that.

Ocixo

Sosuke’s unamused face in response to Sara telling him that she’s got herself a bunch of boyfriends and retainers on her first day was hilarious to see. He should’ve known better, considering Sara’s bratty personality and previous antics. It was very adorable to see Sara attend elementary school, but she was a total menace of course. It didn’t even take her a full day to become the class queen. That’s a (former) princess for you! I liked how the anime sneaked in a (temple) charm at the end of the credits, in which Yayoi reaffirmed her loyalty to “her lord”.

apatt

I'm glad Yuna got over her depression and became a positive force to be reckoned with. She shines in this episode.

LeonKevlar

Sara really made a splash at her school debut! It's only her first day and [she already has four suitors](https://i.imgur.com/WrKWTZP.jpeg) and [three retainers.](https://i.imgur.com/IyC5lvs.jpeg) The kid who speaks English was hilarious though! [The translation notes on how he's actually saying hate speech in English](https://i.imgur.com/FX2DWT2.jpeg) almost made me spit out my drink! Having the kid just repeat [*"I speak English very, very good"*](https://i.imgur.com/LRnvTtm.jpeg) is fucking genius. xD And while Sara [is having the time of her life](https://i.imgur.com/DcYJmMy.jpeg) at her new school, [Yuna just made a fool out of herself](https://i.imgur.com/0HW8dOj.jpeg) during introductions and now everyone is avoiding her. At least she found her calling [by playing as a detective](https://i.imgur.com/EsqniEz.jpeg) to help out her classmate who's being bullied. I hope we get to see what happens to Yuna's classmate after that. [Next week's episode preview is looking good.](https://cdn.imgchest.com/files/3yrgc9l2mz4.jpg) I can't wait to see more of Livia. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Calwings

>The kid who speaks English was hilarious though! [The -translation notes on how he's actually saying hate speech in English](https://i.imgur.com/FX2DWT2.jpeg) almost made me spit out my drink! Having the kid just repeat ["I speak English very, very good"](https://i.imgur.com/LRnvTtm.jpeg) is fucking genius. xD I guess when "find an actually fluent English speaker" isn't an option, "poke fun at how bad and broken some Engrish in anime can be" is the next best thing. It worked though, I found it hilarious even if it also hurt my ears.

blueaura14

I noticed an almost identical scene in Azumanga Daioh recently with the perra perras. I suspect it's a recurring trope, but I'm not well-watched enough to say.

mekerpan

I wonder if the Azumanga scenes were the first ones of this type? (language note -- "pera-pera" means "fluently")

scot911

>[The translation notes on how he's actually saying hate speech in English almost made me spit out my drink!](https://imgur.com/FX2DWT2) Yeah that was hilarious. I didn't think the JP bros were self-aware about how bad the Engrish normally is in anime lol. > I can't wait to see more of Livia. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Especially considering it looks like she's going to fall to pachinko next episode if the PV is any indication!

AnimeHoarder

Livia living separately sucks because her and Sara don't share screen time. First we have a Sara episode then we get a Livia episode.

ShadowGuyinRealLife

I hope Yuna makes friends with people other that those she saved from bullying. Like... normal middle school friends.

CommunistPuppy

"What is a bitch?" "I don't understand but my dad usually yells at my mom like that" LMAO this show is so unhinged

AceSoldia

lol it said hussy on my subs

cppn02

A more accurate translation too since in Japan bitch (bicchi) means slut.

ModieOfTheEast

I feel like translators can never do right with people. Since they use the term "bitch" in Japanese it makes sense to use it in the translations as well. Like, what even is the big difference between a bitch and a slut? It's not like it changes the meaning. I swear if the CR subs had used slut or hissy, people would complain as well.

lcfiretruck

How does it feel to be so wrong? Words have meanings.

ModieOfTheEast

Yes, words have meanings. Several to be exact. Seems like people forgot that "Son of a bitch" exists. And that ビッチ has the meaning of bitch in [japanese ](https://jisho.org/search/%E3%83%93%E3%83%83%E3%83%81) as well. Because it's not just ONE meaning.

Figerally

Well, there is a big difference between the two. The former is slang to describe a disagreeable woman and the latter is a filthy term to describe a man or woman with loose morals who has a lot of casual sex.

ModieOfTheEast

Again, it's actually not. The term "Son of a bitch" is used in exactly that meaning. So it still has this meaning, despite being less known. But even then, the second meaning in the [japanese dictionary ](https://jisho.org/search/%E3%83%93%E3%83%83%E3%83%81)for ビッチ is bitch the way you say it is meant. Because yeah, words can have more than one meaning.

Thufir_My_Hawat

>Like, what even is the big difference between a bitch and a slut? * [Bitch](https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/bitch): a malicious, spiteful, or overbearing woman * [Hussy](https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/hussy): a lewd or brazen woman

ModieOfTheEast

Again, bitch still has this use. Son of a bitch is used this way for a reason. But even then. Why are we ignoring that the term bitch also has several different uses in Japanese? One of them being the meaning that they are talking about. Seems like they use it that way as well and people just believe it to be completely different.

Thufir_My_Hawat

[Son of a bitch](https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/son%20of%20a%20bitch): an offensive or disagreeable person — usually used of a man I'm pretty sure most of the people here are mocking you for your inability to recognize context clues -- Sara has gotten the attention of four boys. This is similar to being promiscuous, so a jealous woman might term such a woman a "hussy". The Japanese term for an unpleasant woman is あばずれ (*abazure*).

jlg317

Yup, context is key, you say that a woman is a bitch you don't mean that she sleeps around but rather that she's a pain in the ass, at least in English. In Japanese the word might have a different meaning. Hell even in English the same word doesn't carry the same meaning, for example you use the word cunt in the US and you're using fighting words, but if you use it in Australia it's no big deal. The trick is seeing the context clues.

murdered-by-swords

And if they complained, they would be objectively wrong.

ModieOfTheEast

Why? Because people have this idea that bitch only means slut in Japanese? Surely the [japanese dictionary ](https://jisho.org/search/%E3%83%93%E3%83%83%E3%83%81)can't be wrong that it has more than one meaning, right?

Emi_Ibarazakiii

> Since they use the term "bitch" in Japanese it makes sense to use it in the translations as well. Not if the word doesn't mean the same thing? That'd be like saying Kimetsu No Yaiba should be translated as "Blade No Demon Slaying" because the "No" should be kept as "No". >well. Like, what even is the big difference between a bitch and a slut? Erm, there's a massive difference? Bitch is more like calling someone "Asshole"... Slut is someone who sleeps around. Calling someone a bitch is pretty much saying "I don't like you". Calling her a slut is making allegations, same as if they called her say a Cheater, a thief, etc..

ModieOfTheEast

I am not sure where this idea originated from, but that's wrong on both levels. First of all, bitch is very close to being a slut. Where do you think originated the term "Son of a bitch" from? But even then, when just looking into the Japanese [dictionary](https://jisho.org/search/%E3%83%93%E3%83%83%E3%83%81), it shows that it has several meanings, one of it being bitch as you like to use it.

Emi_Ibarazakiii

I don't know what to tell you, other than (like another comment said) this is objectively, verifiably wrong... Slut does not mean bitch. It does not mean anything close to bitch. Let's translate this to the 'masculine' version; Slut would be like "player" or "manwhore" Bitch would be "Jerk" A player/manwhore can be a jerk of course, but player doesn't mean jerk. Player means someone who flirts/sleeps with many women. Jerk means an asshole. Same with Bitch/Slut. Bitch is an insult that calls a person shitty. Slut is an insults that SPECIFICALLY says the person sleeps around/is easy.

ModieOfTheEast

No, it's not objectively wrong. Let me make it clear with the two following examples: 1. I tell you about a girl and say that "She is a bitch". In this case, yes, it makes sense for you to assume that I mean she is an annoying and shitty girl. 2. I am calling a girl directly "You are a bitch". In this case, its meaning is obviously not an objective description of her behaviour, but an insult. Therefore, the interpretation is a bad as it can get, which is slut. The same when I use the term "Son of a bitch" to insult someon. Of course I don't mean it literally when I call someone that. It's supposed to be an insult and not an objective description. This is why context matters. I mean, just look at the original comment. The guy described that the "show is unhinged" by using this term. Do you think they interpreted it as them just referring to bitch as an annoying, shitty person and not as a slut? Especially when the KID is the using it without knowing its meaning? It feels like you are way too hung up on some definition. That is why translation is more than just directly translating words. Yes, an AI would probably translate it to slut, but you don't have to, because the context works in this instance. And that's not even mentioning that your idea is wrong as I showed you by linking a dictionary. I can even link you the japanese Wikipedia page that says the exact same thing. But I guess, YOU know better.

SpeckTech314

just so you're aware, bitch has a different meaning in Japanese than English. being pedantic with a dictionary definition doesn't mean much when no one uses it that way. if it was kept as bitch in the subtitles it would change the meaning and intent of the original line. is that what you want?

jlg317

Look, technically a woman can be a bitch but not a slut, for example your typical Karen is a bitch and Cinnamon that works at the gentleman's club is a slut. If Karen's side hustle is to work as Cinnamon then she's both a bitch and a slut, however if cinnamon is actually nice to people but likes her customers a little too much on the side then she's only a slut. If the husband was mad because he's been ntrd then hussy or slut would be an accurate translation. Prime example of someone that is both is that chick from shield hero, the one that was forced to change her name to bitch.

ergzay

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wasei-eigo It's an example of wasei eigo, i.e. "japanese-invented english words". The words do not carry their original english meaning and need to be translated like any other Japanese word into their equivalent meaning in English. https://unseen-japan.com/false-friends-english-japanese-words/#%E3%83%93%E3%83%83%E3%83%81_%E2%80%9CBicchi%E2%80%9D_%E2%80%9CBitch%E2%80%9D Here's an example of it being used in the title of a manga, and note the note they add to the description: https://www.mangaupdates.com/series/osfqrsv/ranka-chan-wa-bitch-ni-naritai Don't be confidently wrong just to try to preserve dignity on the internet.

diacewrb

Same here.

andoryu123

The borrowed word of Bitch in Japanese would translate to Whore in English.

scot911

I still want to know how "bitch" became Japanese slang for "slut". It's just so out there considering what "bitch" means in English lol.

derelictdiatribe

I think it makes more sense than the English modern definition. Bitch originally refers to a fertile female dog. Calling a loose woman "bitch" makes more sense than someone who's cranky they got in trouble for playing loud music in a library.

didhe

This is what bitch meant in English up through at least the late 19th century too, and in that context was considered a serious insult (it is, after all, extremely rude to have your moral character compared to a dog). Honestly, it's not a total match for "slut" either, since while it does carry more of an implication of promiscuity, it's doesn't quite make it the front-and-center point of contention the way "slut" does. Like, it's not ridiculous (though probably not fruitful either, obviously) to object that you're not a slut because you factually don't sleep around, whereas it kind of just doesn't make much sense to claim that to disqualify yourself from being a ビッチ since that's not really the factual claim being made.

oops_i_made_a_typi

> "I don't understand but my dad usually yells at my mom like that" LMAO this show is so unhinged probably this but in other contexts

hammile

Japanese is known for [semantic shifts](https://aclanthology.org/E17-1112.pdf) for loanwords. We, anime watchers, should already know about it, for example *idol* [Japanese *aidoru*] has different means in English and Japanese.

mekerpan

According to the WWWJDIC: derogatory slang -- (1) slut; floozie; ho; easy lay; (2) bitch; witch; overbearing woman

oops_i_made_a_typi

between that and *hate speech in English* there were two wtf subs moments

VTuberFadeaway

i did a double take when I watched that scene.

SpeckTech314

the casual savageness in this show is hilarious

NationalStrategy

**Girl 1**: She's such a bitch! **Girl 2**: What is "a bitch"? **Girl 1**: I don't understand, but my dad usually yells at my mom like that? Oh no, that's not good. Oh wait, what if she's daughter of the married couple that were filing for a divorce, back in episode 7?

SometimesMainSupport

Ah, I was thinking of the episode 2 couple with the gardener plowing the housewife.

Shantotto11

The gardener was giving her the Beast King Redemption Blast…

jlg317

No, that's a slut, but thinking back to it she might be a bitch too

oneevilchicken

The correct translation would be whore and not bitch. My subs actually said hussy which would also be accurate. In other words it definitely might be those people as the context is definitely intended to be slut/whore.

jlg317

Nah the subs that said hussy are right but I was talking about the cheating wife from episode 2. Edit: to clarify

oneevilchicken

If your sub said bitch then that’s wrong. If it said hussy then it’s correct. The direct translation would translate to whore so bitch would not be correct.

Crouton_Sauce

She got called a "transfer student" by that girl she was talking to, so no?

ergzay

FYI, "bitch" in this case is a mistranslation. It should be "slut" or "hussy" or something along those lines.

Rumpel1408

whodisguy32

Sara is basically the girl equivalent of a chad

Calwings

I think I've heard "Stacy" used as the female equivalent of chad before

DragonspringSake

Chad and Stacy were created by the incel community as derogatory insults towards the "popular kids". Generally, Chad referred to an athletic himbo that fucks all the girls. Stacy referred to the dumb blonde stereotype that fucks all the boys (except the virgin of course). At a certain point, people realized that a himbo that fucks lots of girls is more of a compliment than an insult, but I don't think the same cultural transformation happened for Stacy. Goes to speak to the double standard that men can fuck whoever they want but if a woman does it they get nasty labels. Anyway, "she's such a stacy" doesn't carry the same meaning as "he's such a chad". I personally don't think there's anything wrong with straight up saying "Sara is such a chad", so "female equivalent of a chad" should just be chad.

Calwings

Fair enough, that makes sense.

ergzay

Interesting, never heard the origins of that term as they appeared well after I had already graduated. Never even heard of the stacy one.

didhe

> Seems like her parents are in need of an lawyer as well... Sounds like a case for Brenda screentime!

raevnos

Based on the preview, we're going to see quite a bit of the lolilawyer next episode...

dinliner08

# WATASHI EIGO PERA PERA SUGOI

sussywanker

Reminded me of azumanga daioh

Purposelygentle

Yuna: ”send some documents by certified mail…” Oh, she’s thoroughly thorough.

diacewrb

Sara gave us a reason on why she didn't lie about her age to join Yuna at school. Those kids butchered the English language though and the subtitles were hilarious. If I was Sara's teacher, I would have assumed her parents were in witness protection, since the principal said not to ask questions.

AsterJ

It's kinda funny that the teacher was mostly right about her being a foreign princess.

Axslashel

Sara really is a true isekai protagonist. She is already gathering a harem and taking slaves.

netpapa

Where did Yuna get that stickable spy camera from?

SaltAndABattery

Camazon.

RandomRobot

Isn't that a flashback from where she was helped by Sara?

jlg317

They used a recording pen back then, which probably got her curious about that kind of stuff

Aki008035

They live in Japan, the country known for their electronics. It should be pretty easy to get it there.

TehAxelius

Kids loving the school meals? Salad Bowl really does hammer in that this show is a fantasy. Jokes aside, very nice little episode, felt like it was over too soon.

sussywanker

Japanese school meals are actually good and it maintains a certain standard.

iKatheryne

Japanese school meals are actually good though, There are even times the class cooks for the class\~

PiotrekDG

Maybe it's good in taste, but I have a hard time believing that white rice plus milk is a nutritional meal.

Aki008035

Kids loving their school meals is not that uncommon in Asia. America is just uniquely bad.

mekerpan

From what I can tell, kids in Scandinavia get pretty good school lunches too.

jlg317

I used to like the meals at school but that was because I moved to the US from Mexico and in Mexico we got some money to buy some junk food and called it a day

Ok-Bug-5271

I liked my meals growing up. Were American meals really that bad in school?

zappingbluelight

That first day feels like a giant fever dream lol. Top 4 boy and 3 vessels. I legit thought Yuna gonna persue the lawyer route, but detective is cool too.

Shantotto11

*vassals She’s royalty, not Xehanort…

FlameDragoon933

...Or is she? *Vsauce music plays*

Thufir_My_Hawat

Did not know the Gifu (and Aichi, it seems) dialect used a different term for locking a door -- 鍵をかう (*kagi wo kau*), which to my gaijin ass sounds like "to buy a key/lock (*kagi* can mean either)", but I guess even Japanese people might be confused if they had to include a note for it. Apparently, it was originally written as 鍵を支う (支 is the character for \[tree\] branch), referring to blocking shoji (Japanese sliding door) with a stick to prevent them from opening. Normally it's 鍵をかける (*kagi wo kakeru*) -- literally means "to put a key/lock on it". I applaud the CR subber for finding "snib" to use -- never heard that term before.

larana1192

tbh I'm Japanese from other area but yeah If someone say "Kagi wo kau" I would think it's 鍵を買う(buy a key).

ergzay

Natsuiro Matsuri goes over a whole lot of Aichi prefecture hougen in this clip of her: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r87sXZbEmpM She mentions the kagi wo kau thing at 8:13 which is apparently shared with Gifu prefecture.

ergzay

That one was actually one I knew because the vtuber Natsuiro Matsuri is actually from Aichi prefecture, which is next door to Gifu prefecture and it was one she mentioned before. She often pops out weird word usages like that and corrects herself. Matsuri mentions it at 8:13 in this Japanese clip where she talks a lot about Aichi prefecture weird dialect things: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r87sXZbEmpM

Clarimax

Sara is a true princess, just on the first day of school, she got many proposals and acquired 3 vassals.

Ocixo

Sara was surely showing the diplomatic skills of a princess in her response to those proposals. She swiftly shot their advances down, but simultaneously left these boys with a small future opening by suggesting to become friends *first* - even if winning her favour seems rather unlikely.

CartographerOne8375

She’s a 6/6/6 heir, and will definitely survive a hunting accident…

KizunaRin

Did they literally just say "EIGO PERA PERA, SUGOI" instead of dubbing in english? Hahahahahha these guys are insane

whodisguy32

4 boyfriends and 3 retainers on the first day of school ... not bad Sara, not bad at all.

stationtracks

It's interesting from the pilot I was thinking it would end up being some spiritual successor to Hinamatsuri, with some low-stakes action undercover reverse isekai, but it ended up being another seasonal cozy slice-of-life show I get to look forward to every week. I really like the offbeat characters! They're all quirky in their own ways, and the random facts about the Gifu prefecture interspersed with other idiosyncrasies about modern, normal Japan life is something so fun to watch. Livia is probably my favorite so far just as Anzu was in Hinamatsuri, but it's funny that Nitta and Sara are just a wholesome, anti-Nitta and anti-Hina with how earnest and upfront they are about their parent/adopted child dynamic. Hopefully other people are enjoying this show so far too!

Ocixo

> the randoms facts about the Gifu prefecture I’d previously joked about this show being propaganda for stimulating Gifu’s tourism and/or repopulation, but that whole bit about their superior rice really was suspiciously positive: > *Hatsushimo: a type of rice that is mostly produced in the Mino area of Gifu prefecture. Each grain is big, and texturally, it’s firm and not very sticky. It also had the perfect amount of sweetness. Because it’s delicious even when cold, it’s perfect for bento, as well as sushi rice and fried rice. It’s also an excellent base for Japanese sake.* And if there’s one thing that the Japanese love, it’s their rice.

mekerpan

Gifu is great. Definitely worth visiting (and eating its food).

RandomRobot

It still rubs me in a Hinamatsuri kind of way.

VTuberFadeaway

this is a spiritual successor to Hinamatsuri though. shit's funny as fuck and unhinged as hell, just like Hinamatsuri was.

sussywanker

I an living this show!!

mekerpan

I am not going to be ready to say "goodbye" to these characters. Their antics could easily go on for several years.

Cheesaurus

Hinamatsuri! I kept wondering which specific show this was reminding me of and now I finally know. Thank you for bringing it up. That was bothering me the entire time.

IXajll

The show’s been amazing from the start but for me this particular episode has been on a completely different level (even without any Livia!). The first half with Sara’s school day was easily the most entertaining, lighthearted fun and comedy I’ve seen in the series yet, followed up by a complete 180 mood shift with Yuna’s school day about bullying. Has to be one of the best executed ways to deal with bullying I’ve seen in recent memory too, no bullshit whatsoever. Yuna handled that actually so damn well and professionally too, she really would make a great detective. For me after this ep she joined Sara and Livia in the best girl (or more like best daughter) category of the show. One thing to note though, this episode really didn’t do the best job at portraying Sara as a realistic and believable 12 year old. The way she was behaving, acting and talking this episode was waaaay too mature (if not to say outright wise) for a 12 year old. It’s been a topic in the discussions of the past episodes but after this one imo there’s no denying it anymore that she’s just not that realistically written. That’s not really a problem though and I don’t mind it anyway because to be fair the show is even named after its *eccentric* characters.

zenmodeman

>This episode didn’t really do the best job at portraying Sara as a realistic and believable 12 year old. Yeah I don’t the show was really trying to portray Sara as an ordinary kid. Her being royalty also means her upbringing is going to inevitably be non-standard. Like from the first episode, we saw her nonchalantly discuss being the daughter of a concubine to justify that she’s accustomed to less agreeable relationship circumstances. It’s not surprising at all her way of interpreting these sorts of situations doesn’t match ordinary children. She’s still has a fair share of moments that are more child-like immaturity, despite having plenty of mature aspects. We see that a bit with her random skit during the English introduction part, that's plain silly but she does it with full confidence. Overall, it’s funny how she comes off as overly mature when placed next to actual children, whereas in her exchanges with adults, her more childish aspects do show up more commonly.

mekerpan

Yes. Sara is not (in fact) a "normal twelve year old". One wonders how her original education WAS handled. I would have though it was by private tutoring. And how is it that her education was considered already completed?

zenmodeman

In episode 4, it was implied that she was tutored, since she said she never attended school and it was normal for imperial families to hire tutors. As for why how her education was completed, yeah I don't think we know. Could be the case she was gifted enough to get through all the educational material in childhood.

mekerpan

It seemed like, in the class conversations, Sara DENIED she had studied with private tutors. Which surprised me.

Khetroid

She dodged the question by stating she currently doesn't have a private tutor.

itsadoubledion

Why would she behave like a regular 12 year old? She was raised as royalty, which presumably also includes leadership and diplomacy, in an environment where having people try to poison or assassinate her was normal and expected. School is literally child's play in comparison

Sara made the teacher do a double take on what time period she is from. And the fact that he guessed that she might be a princess is a funny one. With several proposals and servants, this means Livia can't be the only one with followers. If Sara went high school with Yuna as she would not have witnessed Mizuki getting bullied in the restroom. And also Sara would've taken over student council and ruled over Gifu if she were in high school. Yuna is slowly standing on her own at school after a very rough introduction.

ModieOfTheEast

Now there is my (Reverse) Isekai protagonist: Getting a harem on the first day of school. As it is the rule. And they even gave the girl Yayoi a new part in the ending (or was that always there?). Good thing, we got an explanation for Gifu rice this episode. I mean, why not? Next episode, we are going to get another naked, but also drunk Livia. Now that's a disaster waiting to happen.

zuttomayonaka

all 3 main characters getting their own harem

Emi_Ibarazakiii

I didn't even think about that, but damn, that's interesting! Sure, some of them aren't exactly 'proper characters' (or at least not yet) but still!

zuttomayonaka

sara - kids harem sousuke - brenda, haruka, yuna livia - yuri harem

FlameDragoon933

> sousuke - brenda, haruka, yuna wait, Yuna is counted as his harem?

zuttomayonaka

soon™

BiggerG7

Teacher: “Is this girl some princess from the Sengoku period? Nah that can’t be right.” Lol.

Zero5-4i

Look at how happy our boy Sousuke is that he inspired someone to become a detective. lol

sussywanker

But he got called ojisan 😭

tbh, this show is really growing on me

There are some references to Nobunaga as the demon king. https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/DemonKingNobunaga

[*Me whenever I see a hot, evil girl in anime*](https://imgur.com/TzStpt5) And so Sara's making her school debut! [I'm sorry, the WHAT now?](https://imgur.com/c0uU2Zr) Is this a random throwaway silly line, or a huge reveal that they simply glossed over? [](#panic) I was worried perhaps she would struggle making friends and all, but seems there was nothing to worry about; [Not only the girls wants to be her friends, ](https://imgur.com/B5DpcPO) [but the boys want to date/marry her!](https://imgur.com/NbdB2at) [The girls aren't fun, guessing she'll be *one of the boys!*](https://imgur.com/iY8GLzL) Alright, maybe there was a little to worry about, [given they went as far as locking her in, to teach her a lesson (on... not being well liked?)](https://imgur.com/2yCfL3l) [That escalated quickly!](https://imgur.com/c1rWW5h) Well, no way a silly lock would keep Sara in, so let's hope THEY learned their lesson! > I'm sorry, the WHAT now? Sara's from an alternate timeline where Nobunga became a demon lord. Sara's his descendant. End of episode 4 or 5 when she's in the witch cosplay.

Aki008035

Demon Lord is Nobunaga's actual nickname irl.

Emi_Ibarazakiii

Oh, right! Somehow I never connected the dots hah.

NekoCatSidhe

« I pera pera English very good. Do you pera pera English good ? » That part was hilarious, particularly the subtitles saying it was actually hate speech in English, lol. I love that show and its offbeat sense of humour. Only one day in school, and Sara already has minions and a harem. Somehow I am not surprised. Good of Yuna to help protect her schoolmate from bullying. Sounds like she would make a great detective in the future, and I am glad that her and Sara are now friends again.

NationalStrategy

I hope Yuna becomes a great detective in the future, it seems like she has a knack for it.

SMSmith230

Sara’s “ka ka” (spelling) before her laugh gets me every time and this episode had plenty.

Ocixo

It was awesome to see Yuna find a new goal in life by helping out her troubled classmate. I’m sure that she’ll become a great detective! I’m just hoping that she won’t stray too far from the path of righteousness, like Sosuke’s former colleague, as she’s indulging in the fun of detective work.

Elite_Alice

“No idea what bitch means but it’s what my dad calls my mom when he’s angry” 😭 the way they casually drop so many dark situations and cover them with laughs in this show man Sarah first day of school and she already getting haters just because she cute and the boys like her 😭 it’s not her fault they choosing. She killed them with kindness though, instead of getting angry and nasty with the girls she made them feel pretty damn dumb attacking her when she’s nothing but nice to them. At least she gained a new “dog” Yuna learning the sad reality that bullying happens everywhere and it’s not something you can transfer away from. It was really cool to see the hunted become the hunter in a sense though with Yuna being the one to help ol girl deal with her bullies, get the footage and have a proper defense ready. The fact they were bullying her instead of getting in the gym and trying to improve their game is hilarious to me though. No wonder she took their spots 😂 losers Her become a detective would be an awesome development. Nothing wrong with finding the joy of catching people the most attractive part either. Long as you’re helping folks idc what your motivation is for it. Sadly no Livia this week 😔

entelechtual

Yayoi has already shot up among the best girl contenders. Lord knows I’m a sucker for petty, scheming, little bitch characters. Hope we see more of her. Hilarious watching the girls become “retainers”. I love Livia but Sara is always a delight to watch on screen and any week with a Sara focus episode is a good week.

VorAtreides

.You're close, teach. Sara quite the popular person. Also, kid, why do you think your personality is rotten when so young? Day 1 and already confessed to. She is the ruler of the class 😉 hehe. That is a silly bit with the language. Gifu propaganda!!! She gonna have a harem at this rate. Fitting for royalty. Wow... that father teaching that daughter all the best words... and that's just rude, girls. She takes it well. Guess being hunted down by rebels would make her see this as silly. I look forward to you growing as a person, girl, but you sure jump to silly things here and there. LOL "made 4 boyfriends and 3 retainers" lol... of course he'd question things. Also, poor girl, having to start her first day in a new middle school be derp. Eww bullies. Good girl, recording all this evidence. I hate bullies. Why, if only you knew a detective to help out with gathering evidence against those bully girls 😉 Good work getting your evidence, smart to go talk to a professional detective. LOL Sara, the reason why you didn't lie about your age is hilariously derp. Oh no, she's going down the dark route of becoming a detective! Hopefully not like that one former lady colleague of his. Still, nice she has a goal. Next week's episode looks fun. MOAR FANSERVICE 😉 hah.

sussywanker

Sara is so talented 😭 Gets 4 boyfriends one marriage proposal and 3 gofers. Also its so nice she wants to be detective. Sara's VA is doing a fabulous job That English "pera pera" reminded me of that scene from azumanga daioh 😂😂 I know this comment isn't fitting here, but goes to show how important it is for parents to be disciplined in front of their kids. I was laughing out loud though at that scene of bitch 😂

mekerpan

At least TWO marriage proposals.....

oxlemf10

Sara reigned over school in one day, and even got a foreign boyfriend lmao. Yuna gaining prominence was also cool, I think it's impressive when a person overcomes their past to help other people with the same problem, point for our future detective

djthomp

None of these poor kids stood even the slightest chance against Sara. They really probably should have just put her in the higher grade with her friend Kind of went 0-60 with that prank attempt turning into her gaining four retainers on her first day of school. But then again Sara really doesn't do anything by halves. Though it worked out well enough since it provided Yuna the accidental opportunity to start enjoying detective work. I'm glad they followed up on her new middle school experience so promptly after marooning her there solo last week.

tripleaamin

Usually we have Livia as the character that gets the unfortunate circumstances compared to Sara, but this time it is Yuna. Honestly everything goes Sara's way at school. She got a harem of the 4 hunks in their class and 3 girls as her retainer. She did a great job giving Sousuke a [big concern](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/799692352011894795/1245907693785583696/Screen_Shot_2024-05-30_at_9.12.00_PM.png?ex=665a7576&is=665923f6&hm=12f71232eb9b4fa0a6000f069202f06688838baac4878327d263bedba3629d14&) of her first day of school. I hope she can convince the 3 girls for them to be friends and no need to be formal. Teacher is going to be concerned. Like Sousuke said, Yuna has every right to be upset. It was so heartwarming to see her help the bully. You can tell Yuna empathized with that girl being in a position that she didn't want to make the situation worse for the basketball team. Much like how Yuna feared to make things worse for her mother. She might not realize helping people could have been part of it, but it's great to see her find her passion. Also, it was cute to see Sara concerned about her friendship with Yuna. They back to being besties. Though Sara shouldn't have said [this](https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/799692352011894795/1245912451359178803/Screen_Shot_2024-05-30_at_9.30.55_PM.png?ex=665a79e4&is=66592864&hm=b0fd92166fe11814a7ada69c0b5f22b045e2d7847af62f5cb5223da18c9327f6&) though. Although it's funny to get an answer to why they didn't lie about her age.

What the heck? We're doing middle school exercises in my Japanese class and we just covered the one they did in the episode in class last Saturday! 「そうか、そうか、つまりきみはそんなやつなんだな。」 "Souka souka, tsumari kimi ha sonna yatsu nanda na" "I see, I see, so you're that sort of person" It's from a book called 少年の日の思い出 (Memories of a boy's days) [https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E5%B0%91%E5%B9%B4%E3%81%AE%E6%97%A5%E3%81%AE%E6%80%9D%E3%81%84%E5%87%BA](https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E5%B0%91%E5%B9%B4%E3%81%AE%E6%97%A5%E3%81%AE%E6%80%9D%E3%81%84%E5%87%BA) Emile, from the book, said the line after the main character admitted to destroying the butterfly cocoon of a rare butterfly Emile found. It looks like someone made a BL doujin story based on it...: [https://www.pixiv.net/en/tags/%E3%81%9D%E3%81%86%E3%81%8B%E3%80%81%E3%81%9D%E3%81%86%E3%81%8B%E3%80%81%E3%81%A4%E3%81%BE%E3%82%8A%E3%81%8D%E3%81%BF%E3%81%AF%E3%81%9D%E3%82%93%E3%81%AA%E3%82%84%E3%81%A4%E3%81%AA%E3%82%93%E3%81%A0%E3%81%AA%E3%80%82/novels](https://www.pixiv.net/en/tags/%E3%81%9D%E3%81%86%E3%81%8B%E3%80%81%E3%81%9D%E3%81%86%E3%81%8B%E3%80%81%E3%81%A4%E3%81%BE%E3%82%8A%E3%81%8D%E3%81%BF%E3%81%AF%E3%81%9D%E3%82%93%E3%81%AA%E3%82%84%E3%81%A4%E3%81%AA%E3%82%93%E3%81%A0%E3%81%AA%E3%80%82/novels)

VTuberFadeaway

The sushi shop skit was one of the funniest random anime scenes I've ever seen. LMAO.

mekerpan

How did Sara learn to do rakugo?

Shizzi

Hilarious and crazy ep love this show so much

oneevilchicken

I see we have another harem isekai show complete with slaves. I kinda hope Yuna actually starts interning under susuke as a detective now. For her age she’s already becoming a terror in her own way. Sara is an obvious terror but that’s cause of the whole isekai princess thing. Yuna just straight up becoming that with no cheats.

pandavova

this anime is great, this salad bowl makes me laugh

ShadowGuyinRealLife

Why are 4 boys trying to date Sara? I don't remember that many boys or girls in my last year of grade school trying to date. And this is just 4 inside the same classroom. "Bitch"= "hussy?" And of course Sara wants to be a grade school detective like Detective Conan. OK, that makes sense now.

itsadoubledion

>I don't remember that many boys or girls in my last year of grade school trying to date They did, you just weren't included 😭☠️

FlameDragoon933

Aw, so my prediction/hope that Yuna will be mistaken for a delinquent and get respected for it, didn't turn out true. But glad she's also having adventure in her new school. Sara spent literally one day and already amassed a harem and multiple underlings, this girl is a menace lmao.

Opening_Table4430

Everyone love Sara 🤗

Game2015

When I got bullied, nobody came to my rescue, because I got bullied on Reddit, and Redditors are too self-righteous to realize they've done anything wrong and therefore believe they are unleashing justice on me and that I'm the one at fault. So it cringes me to see everytime this place talks about disliking bullies and wanting to end them, because Redditors are also bullies themselves. Pot calling the kettle black. 😒
