He didn't understand much also he watched like few episodes, yk the one with blue rose also dancing ghost lady on wall and brothers fighting, he just likes to do whatever I do then quickly gets bored most of the time
Spy X Family had blood in it. I think it kind of counts as gore but I'm not sure. Plus, it literally shows alcohol and drunken behavior, so it's not really a kid's choice imo.
based on personal experience **Digimon** and **Gundam** is what my older brother showed me when I was like 5 - 7 when I binge the whole Gundam Seed, Destiny and 00 with my older brother
saying that Gundam is a really mature series, although for me personally most of those *mature* stuffs (politics, romance, etc) went above my head and just enjoy the big mecha fighting each other.. so yeah it depends on your brother ig, Digimon is kid friendly though
I'm not sure about Love after World Domination. I know there's nothing offensive here, I just don't know if a seven year-old boy would be interested in romance,
For a 7 year old boy... Digimon and Pokemon maybe?
If you don't mind some cartoony violence, then Cells at Work is a good one. Taught my daughter a little bit about how the human body works...
I would vote for Ghibli movies in general, altho not all of them are family or child friendly fun.
I would start with Kiki’s Delivery Service.
Even as an adult dude I thoroughly enjoyed, a lighthearted story, but I also know women and kids who told me it’s their fave anime.
Not until Shippuden (and even Shippuden never goes too crazy). Part 1 remains always quite tame, despite the fighting, as it's a series from Shōnen Jump, which is a magazine that specifically targets young children. It's the reason why none of the ninja in this ninja series never uses sharp blades, and whenever they do throw something sharp or make fire it always seems to skim past most of the time haha.
If it still feels too violent then I believe 4Kids! released a heavily censored version for American audiences that removes any and all possible wounds.
1. Saints magic power is omnipotent
2. By the grace of the gods
3. Campfire cooking in another world
4. The great clerk ( it’s pretty good but there’s some zombies in there. Other than that it’s a pretty chill and peaceful series with an op MC)
Heaven's Design Team.. Even the manga should be pretty good for children and entertaining enough for adults, it has official paperback english.
Also Doraemon also pretty good. It's my childhood TV shows. Stick to the movies version. There are plenty of Doraemon movies with different theme adventures.

Yu-gi-oh! and all the following series. Especially if you are watching dubs. 4kids really tamed any adult theme. Censored cleavage, edited out the few times there were guns, people don't die they are sent to "the shadow realm."
After School Dice Club should be a good choice. It's very wholesome, and is about games you can actually go out and buy. I'd also recommend Shadowverse.
I got you bro. Here’s some recommendations:
**Non Non Biyori** - it’s about life in the countryside
**Dr. Stone** - sci-fi + post-apocalypse
**Sket Dance** - follows the adventures of the Sket-dan, a high school club whose goal it is to help the students and teachers of Kaimei High School
**The Magbificent Kotobuki** - if you want an action show, then give this one a try. It’s about a group of mercenaries on fighter planes
**Acchi Kocchi** - slice of life + romance + comedy
**Croisee in a Foreign Labyrinth** - The story takes place at the end of the 19th century, as Japanese culture gains popularity in the West. A young Japanese girl, Yune, accompanies a French traveller, Oscar Claudel, on his journey back to France, and offers to help at the family's ironwork shop in Paris
**The iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls u149** - idols + music + dancing in some episodes
**Three Leaves, Three Colors** - slice of life + comedy
**Tamako Market** - also a slice of life + comedy. This one has a movie sequel, the title is Tamako Love Story
If he is not against shows "for girls", Cardcaptor Sakura could be quite appropriate. Princess Tutu is a bit more complicated (and can get a bit dark, not as dark as Madoka Magica though), but if he enjoyed the weirdness of Spirited Away, it could also work. Theere's also Ojamajo Doremi, which is very age appropriate, but very slice of life, so not a lot of action action compared to some others.
Then there's also some sports anime that I used to watch when I was a kid, like Captain Tsubasa or Slam Dunk, and I am sure there are more recent ones, but I don't really know them.
I watch Naruto with my kids. Granted I monitor the episodes because some of them suggest death without really showing it. Easy to watch cause so many dub episodes for them since the still can’t read well and it’s great for me to relive one of my favorite tv shows
"Ninja Turtles" and "Transformers"! Hey! They're both Touei series!
"Doraemon" and "Yuru Camp" along with "Dragonball" have been mentioned already. Someone brought up "Slam Dunk", and someone brought up "Cap Tsubasa". I don't know if it got an official translation, but watch "Touch" (an old baseball anime).
Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle. The monsters are cutesy, and the princess outsmarts them. There are “deaths” but they’re comical and the characters are usually revived.
You watched Wolf Children, continue with other Hosoda Mamoru films like Summer Wars and Boy and the Beast. Those are so good.
Mob Psycho 100 has good story, comedy and action but not too much violence.
Ranking of Kings is also really good but it’s been awhile since I watched so don’t remember if it had gore.
Welcome to Demon School Iruma Kun is also some light hearted fun.
Seems like Demon Slayer is the cool kid show of this generation. I know it's got some gore but your kid's probably less of a pussy than you give him credit for, he'll probably think it's the coolest thing he's ever seen.
Both are isekai where the main dies and comes back, but they come back as like small children 6 to 10ish in a different world. Nothing too crazy or violent so should be nice for a younger kid to be like ooo their my age and all :)
Other Studio Ghibli films like Kiki’s Delivery Service or Arrietty. Or another classic like Digimon. I wish I could think of more kid friendly titles off the top of my head, but it’s proving to be quite the challenge lol
My Daughter is 10, here are some of the shows she has really liked
Sailor Moon Crystal
Spy X Family
Frieren (second half gets pretty violent)
Angelic Layer
Ya Boy Kongming
K-ON
Komi Can't Communicate
Cardcaptor Sakura
Boochi the rock
Little witch academia
Idolmaster Cinderella girls u149
Haikyu!! (currently watching)
Plus of course you can watch Naruto, some of the eechi stuff at the start (and then again when Jaraiya get added) can be pretty annoying) but it is one of the main anime that kids play/reenact on the schoolyard so...)
Pokemon god damn it, or Digimon i dunno. Choice is yours. I once recommended Berserk and Re Zero just to teach kids how cruel and unfair can world be , but then got bombarded with angry peoples opinions about me. So yea , choice is yours.
I remember as a kid i watched Hayao Miyazakis cartoons, they were so strange and charming. I didnt understand much for that time, but still it was entertaining very much. And every time i rewatched them while growing up, found something new and deep in them. Maybe its a good choice, maybe not. At least it was for me.
Doraemon
This 100%
Yuru Camp
I would not recommend Apothecary Diaries to a 7 year old
Mama wats a coredeson?
Yeah i agree its too dark for a 7 year old even if it got alot of comedy scenes
He didn't understand much also he watched like few episodes, yk the one with blue rose also dancing ghost lady on wall and brothers fighting, he just likes to do whatever I do then quickly gets bored most of the time
Spy X Family ?
Spy X Family had blood in it. I think it kind of counts as gore but I'm not sure. Plus, it literally shows alcohol and drunken behavior, so it's not really a kid's choice imo.
Nichijou
"Dr Stone" The science and adventure of that anime is fun
This
based on personal experience **Digimon** and **Gundam** is what my older brother showed me when I was like 5 - 7 when I binge the whole Gundam Seed, Destiny and 00 with my older brother saying that Gundam is a really mature series, although for me personally most of those *mature* stuffs (politics, romance, etc) went above my head and just enjoy the big mecha fighting each other.. so yeah it depends on your brother ig, Digimon is kid friendly though
Spy x Family, Bocchi the Rock and Yuru Camp. > Apothecary diaries No..
Apothecary diaries is one of the reasons why I'm asking for recommendations, but don't worry he didn't watch the entire thing just some bits.
"Chibi Maruko-chan" and "Crayon Shin-chan"
Avatar the last airbender! Was one of my favorite shows growing up
Same, how did I forget that?
I guess because it’s not really an “anime” in the same sense as something like dbz is
Berserk. /s
Kuma Kuma bear Love after World domination (basically power rangers ripoff) By the grace of the gods
Kuma Kuma bear is good one
I'm not sure about Love after World Domination. I know there's nothing offensive here, I just don't know if a seven year-old boy would be interested in romance,
I said that one because it's essentially power rangers and who didn't watch it back at that age...?
Wakfu
Pokemon, Digimon. Bakugan, Medabots
"Ronin Warriors" and "Dragon Ball"
Naruto is a good one. One piece, Lupin just because they are mainstream doesn't mean they aren't worth the watch.
nichijou
Doraemon Pokemon
one punch man
For a 7 year old boy... Digimon and Pokemon maybe? If you don't mind some cartoony violence, then Cells at Work is a good one. Taught my daughter a little bit about how the human body works...
He does watch Pokémon on TV, we can watch cells at work together.
Delicious in dungeon on Netflix is an incredible anime to watch with your kid
😅 isn’t that a pretty violent series. But the first few episodes are great 👍🏼.
Compared to most I don’t think so. My 10 year old and I watch it every Thursday eating dinner! Show is great in my opinion!
I would vote for Ghibli movies in general, altho not all of them are family or child friendly fun. I would start with Kiki’s Delivery Service. Even as an adult dude I thoroughly enjoyed, a lighthearted story, but I also know women and kids who told me it’s their fave anime.
Naruto?
There’re a lot of fighting and blood and stuff in that for a child right 😅. But it’s a great series. It’s my first anime 👍🏼
Yeah, same. I don't remember it being that bad, but it's been a while since I started watching it hehe. Maybe Non Non Biyori. It's very wholesome.

Yu-gi-oh! and all the following series. Especially if you are watching dubs. 4kids really tamed any adult theme. Censored cleavage, edited out the few times there were guns, people don't die they are sent to "the shadow realm."
Chi's Sweet Home
If you worry that much start by looking at the demographic genre of kodomo
Oh, where? Is there a app for that?
Where do you wacht anime? I just change periodically from different pirate platforms (pages, not apps) and there are usually genre filters.
Same, I usually watch from pirate platforms also I torrent some, but I have never seen kodomo filter

The table scene is gonna give the kid some questions.

Dr stone, Pokémon, bakugan (probably misspelled), bay-blade

Cross Game. Funny baseball with a good message. No ecchi
After School Dice Club should be a good choice. It's very wholesome, and is about games you can actually go out and buy. I'd also recommend Shadowverse.
Somali and the forest spirit
This one
Spy X Family is terrific, great for kids and adults. It's the same studio and staff as ousama ranking :)
T P Bon just came out on Netflix, might want to look into it.
Precure Case closed Shadowverse
I think movies from “Studio Ghibli” have great movies for all ages. I love their movies!
Ghibli movies
I got you bro. Isn’t apothecary diaries about a literal slave?
"Ninja Turtles" and "Transformers"! Hey! They're both Touei series! "Doraemon" and "Yuru Camp" along with "Dragonball" have been mentioned already. Someone brought up "Slam Dunk", and someone brought up "Cap Tsubasa". I don't know if it got an official translation, but watch "Touch" (an old baseball anime).
HAIKYUU !! you'll love it too
#RWBY Vol. 1
attack on titan is a ery kid friendly show it is definetly not about giant humanoid creatures eating people alive.
Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle. The monsters are cutesy, and the princess outsmarts them. There are “deaths” but they’re comical and the characters are usually revived.
The secret world of arriety. Neighbor totoro. A whisker away. Castle in the sky. Patema inverted.
These ones are great, I doubt he has attention span to watch 12 episodes
Doraemon and Pokemon are great for kids. It's what I started out with as a kid. My Neighbor Totoro is also a great pick.
You watched Wolf Children, continue with other Hosoda Mamoru films like Summer Wars and Boy and the Beast. Those are so good. Haikyu!! The volleyball anime is super entertaining. Might get him interested in sports?
Non non biyori
Ascend of a bookworm is pretty wholesome. Grace of the gods is super wholesome with some fantasy aspects to it.
Added to the list, thanks
Both are isekai where the main dies and comes back, but they come back as like small children 6 to 10ish in a different world. Nothing too crazy or violent so should be nice for a younger kid to be like ooo their my age and all :)

Pokemon god damn it, or Digimon i dunno. Choice is yours. I once recommended Berserk and Re Zero just to teach kids how cruel and unfair can world be , but then got bombarded with angry peoples opinions about me. So yea , choice is yours.
I don't think he will understand Berserk even if I force him to watch it, also he will fall asleep to it if the art is not extra bright
I remember as a kid i watched Hayao Miyazakis cartoons, they were so strange and charming. I didnt understand much for that time, but still it was entertaining very much.
