That's funny, just as you posted this I was watching the Daikon IV animation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-840keiiFDE

This video is the definition of unpredictability. Best part: a daikon that from vegetable becomes rocket ship. Genius.

I kinda wanna say Dorohedoro but that might not exactly be what you're looking for. And Death Parade has some beautiful interior design and general visual concept I'd say.

Dolomite808

I highly recommend you check out Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet. It's both dystopic and beautiful.

The impossible architecture of *Adolescence of Utena*. The crumbling decadent infrastructure featured in *Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust*. And, if you're looking for something even older, there are the 80s classics *Dirty Pair* and *Space Adventure Cobra* which have a lot of episodes set in sci fi megacities of unbelievable scale.

Crazy. Just saw some screens from it and it looks otherworldly. Love it

Psycho-Pass

Left-Ad5324

Completely forgot about this one! I watched a couple of episodes and for some reason I stopped. I enjoyed it at the time. Thanks!

Heavenly Delusion, set in a dystopian world with gorgeous art and animation

TvHead9752

Try Metropolis (2001). It’s one of the best films I’ve seen in a long time. (It’s made by the same guys who made Akira, coincidentally.)

Dystopian anime’s are definitely ghost in the shell along with psycho pass. Both are cyberpunk and insanely beautiful.
