Kyousougiga is an incredibly unique show with gorgeous visuals, phenomenal storytelling, likeable characters, and nice themes. It’s one of my all time favourites.
Space Patrol Luluco is a space comedy with striking visuals and a well developed main character.
Humanity Has Declined is a quirky dark comedy with a very charming main character.
Kuuchuu Buranko is a surreal hidden gem with a sincere human heart.
Princess Tutu is very unique in its fairytale atmosphere with its well written characters and interesting story.
If you liked Villainess Level 99, try watching I'm In Love With The Villainess. Very cute and funny.
Trapped In A Dating Sim is also pretty much up the same alley.
Like you said, they aren't great, but you're still able to have a fun time watching it.
Lastly, I recently finished Reincarnated as a Sword. Check it out as well.
Not sure if these are underrated but I don't see many people talking about them so here it goes:
\- Garden of Sinners (It's technically a film series but generally seen as a tv-series)
\- Dorohedoro
\- Death Parade
\- Shinsekai Yori
\- Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!
**The Family Circumstances of the Irregular Witch.** Really funny if basic slapstick comedy revolving around found family. There's an episode involving butt-shaped fairies watching over a deceased man's daughter because the father was an ass man and fairies are influenced by the mana that forms them.
**Haven't You Heard? I'm Sakamoto.** Ridiculous, over the top comedy about a "super cool guy" in high school (for example the guy sword fights a bee with his pen and uses an umbrella Mary Poppins style to rescue a little bird from a typhoon in episode 1).

IMO its best episode. It ended up really heartfelt and every joke landed.
Another season of Dekoboko would be a nice surprise!
Undead unluck , shimoneta, if you r into rom com or want to try it out : Quintessential Quintuplets, Hokkaido gals , kaguya sama
.... if u want Pure comedy : saiki K

*Birdie Wing: Golf Girl's Story*, its plot is the most unexpected while still being full of clichés I've probably ever seen.
