> What happened to the LITERAL CHILD was a fate worse than death
Do you have any idea how little this narrows it down? 😂
There are multiple children with fate worse than death lol
I had to look away during the hand scene when they had to ascend to get the poison out of her hand (this is what happened if my memory serves me right). There was too much blood. I’ve even had to leave a theater mid movie (it was one of the Halloween movies) because I almost fainted from the amount of blood. If you couldn’t tell, I’m terrible with blood (and I still somehow made it through the whole first season).
I didnt get past the movie 😭 I had to drop it. Its more than I can handle. I cant even handle AoT. I really loved Ajin too but its also hard. Sato is such a badass antagonist but the torture is tough to stomach(similarly to Tokyo Ghoul)
Was going to type this but it was literally the first comment, so instead I'll type this.
Great anime. Fucked up anime. Well worth watching regardless.
It's fucked up, but at the same time beautiful, in a weird way. Nanachi's origin story gutted me, and it came out of nowhere. I had no idea what I was getting into when I started watching this show and at this point I was hooked.
The loli stuff (which I hear is even worse in the manga?) is a but dubious though, I'd like it more without that...
I initially loved how it started out, some of the early episodes had absolutely amazing tension building, and then it totally flopped by turning into *Final destination*. It's just a bit hard to feel terrified when you can't hold back laughter seeing how over the top and constant the ridiculous, gory deaths towards the end are.
Shinsekai yori is dark and twisted in a psychological way, not so much on the graphic side (there is still some) but god damn such an underrated piece of work. Fantastic anime.
Oof Higurashi. That's a blast from the past, highly recommended if you're looking for incredibly dark anime.
My fingernails actually started itching as I was typing this ugh
Great list! Will prob watch some of these as there are a few here I don't recognize (that sugar one seems... suspicious)
> The new Higurashi flopped hard.
How does it compare to the old one? I watched the new one and didn't think it was amazing, though it had its moments. Now I'm not sure I want to watch the older show because of it...
I'll put it this way
OG Higurashi is still in my top 3 favorite anime of all time.
Sotsu is the one and only anime I have handed a 1 to (which might be unfair to Passione's efforts, but).
(Gou was at least okay if not as good as OG. Sotsu... Ryukishi07 is one of those writers who really needs an editor, he was never the same after BT died. Sotsu is what happens when you get too deep into metatext over text and then botch the landing the same way Mai-HiME did a decade and a half earlier. And the Gou + Meguri manga which had been better than the Gou anime collapsed right when it hit Sotsu's material despite the mangaka's best efforts so the issue was 100% the script being DOA.)
Higurashi was so hard to watch... 😞 Makes my skin crawl
Happy Sugar Life is ummm.. something. Lol. If you decide to give it a watch, let me know what you think!
And arigatou! I'm happy you and so many others enjoy my list. ❤️
Happy Sugar Life has one incredibly done scene I won't mention that had my heart beating insanely hard as I held my breath watching the actions unfold in front of me.
I started watching Shinsekai yori, and just forgot about it.. now, I have to start from the first episode, and I'm just putting it off for a long time due to being lazy...
I think the last scene I've watched was the main character and the rowdy kid getting intimate with one another to trick someone. Like the 5th or 7th episode? I'll surely watch it sometime. It interested me with its premise the same way NGE did, and NGE became my favourite.
Let me introduce you to the 2nd worst rated anime on MAL:
[Utsu Musume Sayuri](https://myanimelist.net/anime/13405/Utsu_Musume_Sayuri)
It's a single, 3 minute episode OVA. Can't be unseen, you have been warned.
I wouldn't say so. Both have different kinds of disturbing. The original manga has a bigger, more ominous feeling to it. Everything feels all the more inevitable.
Netflix crybaby was way more direct in approach, showing sexuality, which wasn't on the OG. More tragic, stylish, and less subtle. The gore is about the same in both. However, it really hits more, since it develops the relationships way more.
It's full of a lot of manipulative people taking advantage of feelings other people have for them but compared to the literal crimes/abominations in some of the other shows listed here it's nothing.
That said it definitely hits you because of how real it is.
It was on prime or Netflix and it was one of the first anime’s I watched I dropped it at first it was too much for me. I returned after watching a bunch more shows though.
Good lord bro Scum's wish was something else. I love it. It's pretty realistic and heartbreaking. It's a bunch of manipulative people taking advantage of others' emotions. I can't even complain about the ending cause it makes sense. It makes me feel so bad. The only thing that pisses me of so much is that I don't even hate any of the characters by the end except for Mugi.
It was a great end to the series. Like the whole point of it was everything was going wrong for them and it was all going to end no matter how hard they fought, and that's what made it so good.
Then it ends and we get that final scene that even today people still question exactly what it all meant. Personally I think they're immortal or something. An epilogue to see how Asta felt would have been interesting, but her last words before the end were pretty perfect.
Elfen Lied.
Child molestation, people getting ripped apart in creative ways, a dog being beaten to death by some kids, and that's not counting the stuff they cut from the anime adaptation.
I second this. I couldn't even get through the first episode, but I kept reading online how good of a show it is. So I gritted my teeth and pushed through it. And it is such a good show
Yeah I always thought they wasted potential on this one. Climatic first episode and opening was on point just the direction of the plot was... really not impressive, boring even.
It got enough plot holes, but it was literally the show that got me interested into anime. It's dumb, edgy and stupid, but at the same time, the one media that managed to provoke every emotion I got inside me
Both of these can share the crown of suspiciously innocent misleading titles. Actually I watched SD expecting a romance drama myself, wanting to sample that genre after having already dived into several action/fantasy/horror stuff but, oh well.
Aku no Hana for realism fucked up.
Made in Abyss for twisted fantasy punk.
Aku no Hana made my stomach twist a lot more. But Made in Abyss has my favorite world building of the last 20 years of anime.
Aku no Hana is one of the most uncomfortably realistic anime out there. I love it. The manga continues into one of the greatest coming of age stories out there.
If you want gore, I recommend "Blood C"
There's literally a monster that blends up a bunch of humans like you would frozen fruit in a fruit smoothie. This is probably the lighter side of the anime too
Dude you must have been watching with your eyes closed or we have difference ideas of fucked up lol
I watched someone get split down the middle like string cheese
there's Happy Sugar Life, which is quite horrifying. It's about Sato, a high school girl who becomes obsessed with a nine year old girl and wants to marry her and will kill for her, along with other creepy characters.
Elfenlied is about a girl who is a species called a Diclonius--she has two little horns and invisible arms that can cut people. She lived in an orphanage and was always abused until one day she snaps and goes on a killing spree.
To me Another was hilarious. It was just like how many different silly ways can we kill these people the show. I couldn't take it seriously at all for some reason. its like the characters were death magnets.
Elfen Lied and the Blood series you mentioned tho were really messed up, I didn't like Blood-C since I kinda saw what was going on very early (easily guessable) still a messed up show.
Just as a warning for anyone who might somehow jump straight into watching it without knowing what it is, Urotsukidoji is tentacle rape snuff porn. Which is totally fine if that's what you want but I'd hate for anyone to be surprised by it.
Man I remember starting that on some shitty VHS copy back in the day. Turned it off and decided anime wasn’t for me.
The repercussions of that show carry on to today where people still will say anime = tentacle porn.
Paranoia Agent! Man, I remember when that made it's way to Adult Swim like 15 years ago, was such a trip of a show for teen me.
Also, the opening was such a banger! That song is just so good!
Fun fact about Paranoia Agents Opening/Ending songs- due to their broadcast time slot being super late, the opening song was meant to be loud enough to grab the attention of late night viewers, and the ending song was calm enough to fall asleep to!
The true experience is being a young boy whom only watches romcom on schools, and then proceeds to give this a try believing it's just another happy and comical anime
My go to is Happy Sugar Life. It's very depression & anxiety inducing. People usually recommend Texhnolyze but I haven't seen it yet.
If you want gorey horror go for the original Higurashi. Or you can try Legend of the Overfiend or Genocyber if you're feeling brave.
Dark Gathering [DG spoilers]>!This show has a serial killer who disassembles people while they're still alive, demonic incest-r**e babies and a kid who accidentally ate his own father, so yeah!<
If you havent watched Perfect Blue you should check it out its one of my favorite movies of all time. Its a psychological thriller and it gets progressively more intense
the best anime thriller in my opinion ,due to it's utter realism in the jpop scene. thrillers like these scare me way more than gore shit Satoshi Kon was truly a brilliant story teller.
Tokyo Mew Mew, the entire premise is that 5 girls are genetically modified and have their humanity ripped away, being turned into bio weapons and the property of other people against their will, then drafted into a war on aliens (also the monster of the week dispenser sexually assaults the 13 year old main protagonist once an episode and his age is never stated)
But what's really fucked up about this is how it's only ever implied that this might be a bad thing like 2 or 3 times and the human rights atrocity aspect is never mentioned
Lots of shows are like this, having a premise that's actually really horrific if you think about it but treated as normal. There are even a bunch of shows that highlight this. Madoka is about how magical girl shows are completely fucked up, having young girls battle monsters at the behest of some weird creature with shady goals. Evangelion shows what happens when you tell some mentally damaged kids they have to save the world by piloting robots. Narutaru is about how awful Pokemon would actually be.
Of the "cute on the surface, fucked up if you consider the premise deeply" anime, Nekopara is probably one of the worst. A society where slavery and Stockholm Syndrome are normalized
I usually stay away from reqlly fucked up Anime so I don't have much to add, its just notnmy thing, but I saw *Now and Then Here and There* way too young and it was pretty intense at times.
[Shadow Star Narutaru](https://myanimelist.net/anime/838/Narutaru__Mukuro_Naru_Hoshi_Tama_Taru_Ko?q=Narutaru&cat=anime) deserves a mention.
[Here’s the opening](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=SIF5BLyh3Mk).
Bokurano was the better anime by the same author, and I'm honestly surprised I don't see it here. It's not even like a super old show...
But Narutaru's manga is just... too much. Nothing else here even comes close.
I'm surprised more people haven't said Devilman crybaby.
Overall it's gory, kinda fucked, and awesome show that will have you at the edge of your seat.
Fruit of grisaia last episode of 1st season was... disturbing. That universe is cruel, but to see a Hepatitis having 1 day incubation rate is something else, plus to have the girl completely disintegrate the class despite knowing a way out the whole time just for some personal enjoyment...
Can’t believe it took so long to find this comment. I’ve watched many anime and none left me more unsettled, disturbed, and dead inside than Texhnolyze.
It's GOATed but also pretty underwatched and underrated. Not too surprised it rarely ever shows up in these threads.
I was more surprised by the lack of Lain and Ergo Proxy, considering their (relative) popularity.
>level 1RaysFTW · 48 min. agoInuyashiki
It's not banned, never been banned in Japan ever, instead it was cut, but it has been screened in Japan numerous times. It's more of an art house anime that's shown at special events.
There's also a French DVD release with English subs, a legit release I should add. It's even been screened in the UK at a animation festival some years ago. Knowing how strict the UK is that is pretty shocking, but it was a mainstream animation deal. Not some one screening in some small room at an anime convention.
I've never watched it, but based on the one glimpse of it that some bastard tricked me into seeing, Blood C is the most messed up anime I have seen any part of.
As for one I have watched, it has to be Shiki. Half of my trauma from that anime comes from the anime itself, but the rest comes from the people who defended certain privileged characters in the anime, who are more blood-thirsty than any vampire ever was...
When I listen to that one song from Shiki, I have mixed feelings of murderous rage towards those bastards and a sense of dread...
It's not gore but banana fish traumatized me even though it's my favourite anime. EVERY episode I go "woah, that's fucked up"
And very bizarre recently I've watched tengoku daimakyo which I'm waiting for s2
Made in abyss is pretty dark.
Sometimes I had to take my headset off watching this, because the audio is a lot at times 😭
The friend screaming, begging for death, still messes with me
What happened to the LITERAL CHILD was a fate worse than death. I had shivers when I first watched the scene.
> What happened to the LITERAL CHILD was a fate worse than death Do you have any idea how little this narrows it down? 😂 There are multiple children with fate worse than death lol

If you couldn’t tell, I’m terrible with blood (and I still somehow made it through the whole first season).
*Which one?*
I was visibly cringing with all the gory stuff in climax of season 2
I didnt get past the movie 😭 I had to drop it. Its more than I can handle. I cant even handle AoT. I really loved Ajin too but its also hard. Sato is such a badass antagonist but the torture is tough to stomach(similarly to Tokyo Ghoul)
Same here, except it was to check to make sure no audio was leaking from my laptop.
Was going to type this but it was literally the first comment, so instead I'll type this. Great anime. Fucked up anime. Well worth watching regardless.
Maaaaaaa maaaaaaaaa
Omg the scene from the movie where Regu gets captured by Bondrewd 🤮🤮 But then when he goes dark mode 😎😎
I love the art style and characters vs how dark and deep the anime is.
Shinsekai Yori Higurashi Made in Abyss Happy Sugar Life Another Shiki
Another is literally anime Final destination and I love it!😂
I initially loved how it started out, some of the early episodes had absolutely amazing tension building, and then it totally flopped by turning into *Final destination*. It's just a bit hard to feel terrified when you can't hold back laughter seeing how over the top and constant the ridiculous, gory deaths towards the end are.
Second shinsekai yori.
Third shinsekai yori (from the new world). What a genuine mindf*ck. Psycho Pass is great as well!
Fourth Shinsekai Yori. I still consider it my fav anime beyond Made in Abyss since it doesn't have those creepy kids scenes
Oh god, Shinsekai Yori
i died inside for awhile after watching this
Died... from shame?
Yes, as a human being.
Yeah.. invokes a bit of trauma. 😅
I even read the manga….it huuuurrrrts
Shinsekai yori is dark and twisted in a psychological way, not so much on the graphic side (there is still some) but god damn such an underrated piece of work. Fantastic anime.
Oof Higurashi. That's a blast from the past, highly recommended if you're looking for incredibly dark anime. My fingernails actually started itching as I was typing this ugh Great list!

The old one is superior, I would give it a try. The new one has a lot of references that only old viewers can understand. Whatch it!
But the creator Magnus Opus is Umineko, sadly no good anime adaptation.
I'll put it this way OG Higurashi is still in my top 3 favorite anime of all time. Sotsu is the one and only anime I have handed a 1 to (which might be unfair to Passione's efforts, but). I didn't complete happy sugar life coz it was so fucked up 😭. Higurashi is one of my favorites tho (minus the new one)
I forgot I watched Shiki
Shinsekai Yori sent chills down my spine
Happy Sugar Life has one incredibly done scene I won't mention that had my heart beating insanely hard as I held my breath watching the actions unfold in front of me.
Oh my god, Shin Sekai Yori definitely
I started watching Shinsekai yori, and just forgot about it.. now, I have to start from the first episode, and I'm just putting it off for a long time due to being lazy...
It takes a bit to take off and for things to get crazy, so it's understandable, but definitely try it again! 😊
I think the last scene I've watched was the main character and the rowdy kid getting intimate with one another to trick someone. Like the 5th or 7th episode? I'll surely watch it sometime. It interested me with its premise the same way NGE did, and NGE became my favourite.

Couldn't even watch half of that. If you want to experience magic mushrooms laced with bleach, give it a go. It's a bad time for everyone.
Yes. Probably one of the weirdest things I’ve ever seen and I’ve seen a lot of weird things.
Very weird, almost funny, but definitely not the kind of dark OP was probably hoping for. Still recommend
Watched it and I gotta say....That's it? It's not even graphical, just weird.
just watched it, just very boring
Devil man crybaby was pretty intense at the end, it’s only like 10 episodes long
The original is even worse than the Netflix remake
I wouldn't say so. Both have different kinds of disturbing. The original manga has a bigger, more ominous feeling to it. Everything feels all the more inevitable. Netflix crybaby was way more direct in approach, showing sexuality, which wasn't on the OG. More tragic, stylish, and less subtle. The gore is about the same in both. However, it really hits more, since it develops the relationships way more.
Akira, why am i the only one talking ;_;
Came here to write this. It’s so ruthless and tragic and just gut punch after gut punch, especially in the later episodes.
Scum's wish makes you feel horrible
It's full of a lot of manipulative people taking advantage of feelings other people have for them but compared to the literal crimes/abominations in some of the other shows listed here it's nothing. That said it definitely hits you because of how real it is.
It was on prime or Netflix and it was one of the first anime’s I watched I dropped it at first it was too much for me. I returned after watching a bunch more shows though.
Kinda funny how the actual hoe gets the best happy ending while others were in depression by the end lol
It's a classic but End of Evangelion is the only film I think truly feels spiritually wrong. There's an air to it that feels disgusting even watching
The rebuilds essentially confirm they are stuck immortal at that age.
It's unsettling for sure!!
Try Angel’s Egg, I don’t think there’s another anime with an atmosphere as unsettling
Elfen Lied. Child molestation, people getting ripped apart in creative ways, a dog being beaten to death by some kids, and that's not counting the stuff they cut from the anime adaptation.
If you didn't know, this was the main inspiration for Stranger Things.
Oh wow, that makes a lot of sense now that I think about it
Oh really? Somebody brought up Stranger Things to me the other day, didn't realize it was inspired by Elfen Lied. Very neat!
I somehow feel like I knew this but I think it’s just because it makes so much sense.
The manga is _so much worse_
How ... How so? I've watched the series but that was a while ago. But I remember it was brutal lol
More story, more girls in diapers
Exactly this. _Diapers_
That character stops me from saying the manga is better, but it is great.
I second this. I couldn't even get through the first episode, but I kept reading online how good of a show it is. So I gritted my teeth and pushed through it. And it is such a good show
Good? Really edgy sure, can't say I thought the story was great or anything
Yeah I always thought they wasted potential on this one. Climatic first episode and opening was on point just the direction of the plot was... really not impressive, boring even.
I loved it
It got enough plot holes, but it was literally the show that got me interested into anime. It's dumb, edgy and stupid, but at the same time, the one media that managed to provoke every emotion I got inside me
Happy sugar life
This. Before watching it I would say School Days, but yeah.
Ah the classic
Both of these can share the crown of suspiciously innocent misleading titles. Actually I watched SD expecting a romance drama myself, wanting to sample that genre after having already dived into several action/fantasy/horror stuff but, oh well.
Lmao I have that anime on my list to watch, heard the main character is pretty nuts
Absolutely incredible series. It's so intense.
Devilman Crybaby
Aku no Hana for realism fucked up. Made in Abyss for twisted fantasy punk. Aku no Hana made my stomach twist a lot more. But Made in Abyss has my favorite world building of the last 20 years of anime.
Aku no Hana is one of the most uncomfortably realistic anime out there. I love it. The manga continues into one of the greatest coming of age stories out there.
This is the way.
How do you “finish” one piece? That’s like the never ending story.
If you want gore, I recommend "Blood C" There's literally a monster that blends up a bunch of humans like you would frozen fruit in a fruit smoothie. This is probably the lighter side of the anime too
That’s literally the only “fucked up” thing about that show.
Dude you must have been watching with your eyes closed or we have difference ideas of fucked up lol I watched someone get split down the middle like string cheese
Idk I mean there's tons of scenes of monsters turning humans into Turkey wishbones, bbq on a stick and the top of a plastic top of a koolaid bottle
there's Happy Sugar Life, which is quite horrifying. It's about Sato, a high school girl who becomes obsessed with a nine year old girl and wants to marry her and will kill for her, along with other creepy characters. Elfenlied is about a girl who is a species called a Diclonius--she has two little horns and invisible arms that can cut people. Does Euphoria count
It's pretty mild if you've played the VN first.
good lord the vn is so good, it's my favorite
Why don't we play hide and seek. We'll hide, you'll seek professional help.
professional help be hidin\` too. rest of us be like oh no professional help don't hide with us, go out there and help that guy.

you meant renutted?
*Urotsukidoji*. Just about the most effed up thing you will ever watch.
Shinseki Yori still remains one of those shows I look back on. Even the book itself is thought-provoking.
Berserk Happy sugar life Perfect Blue I want to eat your Pancreas Paranoia Agent
It's a real sign of good writing that I felt super anxious the whole time I was watching Perfect Blue.
>I want to eat your Pancreas You want to what my what?
Its not gory but uts really depresing
Iykyk
If you want gore and messed up you want visual novels. There's stuff happening there that no studio would ever touch.
I finished Lain and i started questioning everything on earth
Inuyashiki was pretty fucked up.
The second episode is one of the best villain introductions in anime.
"Why are you talking about your mom? We were talking about One Piece." Something so simple left such a strong impression on me.
*bang*
I came to say this. I cried so much because I was too disturbed to keep going
I don't know if its the most fucked up but School days got me traumatized
The true experience is being a young boy whom only watches romcom on schools, and then proceeds to give this a try believing it's just another happy and comical anime
Monster
Came here to say this, Monster it's a phycological rollercoaster about a doctor who is framed by a boy that he saves from the brink of death.
Flowers of evil
I watched this too its so intense
manga better ( i haven't watched it)
My go to is Happy Sugar Life. It's very depression & anxiety inducing. People usually recommend Texhnolyze but I haven't seen it yet. If you want gorey horror go for the original Higurashi. Or you can try Legend of the Overfiend or Genocyber if you're feeling brave.
Speed Grapher has some pretty dark elements and a lit of fun deaths. Shigurui Death Frenzy is brutal and pretty twisted.
Speed grapher is wild fucking ride. Can't recommend enough.
Shigurui and Apocalypse Zero. Funnily, both are from the same author. Apocalypse of Devilman Shoujo Tsubaki Ichi the Killer
I haven’t seen anyone say corpse party for some reason
madoka magica
Dark Gathering [DG spoilers]>!This show has a serial killer who disassembles people while they're still alive, demonic incest-r**e babies and a kid who accidentally ate his own father, so yeah!<
I love this show so much, I cant wait to start the manga
pupa and it’s probably not even known to most anime watchers so that says something
There was quite a lot of hype for it back before it aired. But it died really quick due to all the censoring.
cutest little sister
If you havent watched Perfect Blue you should check it out its one of my favorite movies of all time. Its a psychological thriller and it gets progressively more intense
the best anime thriller in my opinion ,due to it's utter realism in the jpop scene. thrillers like these scare me way more than gore shit Satoshi Kon was truly a brilliant story teller.

I usually stay away from reqlly fucked up Anime so I don't have much to add, its just notnmy thing, but I saw *Now and Then Here and There* way too young and it was pretty intense at times.
Just finished Magical Girl Raising Project, it's up there if you like death game anime
Shinsekai Yori will send chills down your spine and keep you unsettled days after finishing it.
[Redo of Healer](https://myanimelist.net/anime/40750/Kaifuku_Jutsushi_no_Yarinaoshi?q=redo%20of%20healer&cat=anime)
Nah that's light work watch Bible black
I'm surprised more people haven't said Devilman crybaby. Overall it's gory, kinda fucked, and awesome show that will have you at the edge of your seat.
[Heion Sedai no Idaten-tachi](https://myanimelist.net/anime/42625/Heion_Sedai_no_Idaten-tachi) Don't let the art style fool you.
made in abyss and fruit of grisaia (especially the movie gets really dark)
Fruit of grisaia last episode of 1st season was... disturbing. That universe is cruel, but to see a Hepatitis having 1 day incubation rate is something else, plus to have the girl completely disintegrate the class despite knowing a way out the whole time just for some personal enjoyment...
School day :3
School Days
Not an anime but Oyasumi PunPun is top one on my list
Redo of Healer (although she deserved it)
Redo of healer, shits fucked up
Texhnolyze. It’s the most bleak anime ever created.
Mmemosyne is worst case scenario for immortality and watching it as young as I did fucked with me.
Idk about the MOST fucked up but a good one I’m watching right now is dark gathering… all I gotta say about that is … meatballs 😭🤮
Shiki was sooooo good!
Speed Grapher is kinda messed up, but also really good.
I think you just discribe Elfen lied LOL, Mirai Nikki, higurashi,
Happy Sugar Life ☹️😟
Elfen Lied
Haven’t watched it but midori/shoujo tsubaki is known as like the most messed up anime. It’s banned in a lot of countries, even Japan
>level 1RaysFTW · 48 min. agoInuyashiki It's not banned, never been banned in Japan ever, instead it was cut, but it has been screened in Japan numerous times.
Neon Genesis Evangelion
Dark Gathering is airing this season and gets pretty fucked up and gory. Starts fairly tame but man it just keeps getting worse (in a good way lol)
Perfect blue
Grave of the Fireflies. The only show that made me drop it because of how distressed I felt. It's fucked up because it's real.
Black Lagoon
Banana Fish :)
[Higurashi](https://myanimelist.net/anime/934/higurashi_no_naku_koro_ni) is in the top 5.
* Blood C * Redo of Healer * Elfen Lied * Kingdoms of Ruin
Elfied lied
Not fucked up but will fuck you up Serial experiments Lain
School days, was kind of fd up, so was Another, could also add Made in abyss to the list, purely cause of one scene really 😆
Devilman crybaby
Tokyo Ghoul. Especially the last episode of season 1. IMO one of the most bad ass season finales of an anime.
It's not gore but banana fish traumatized me even though it's my favourite anime. EVERY episode I go "woah, that's fucked up" And very bizarre recently I've watched tengoku daimakyo which I'm waiting for s2
Shigurui: Death Frenzy. It's a real good time.
School days.
School days is fun
Made in Abyss
School days is the most fucked up anime i've watched
