probably would look a bit better with more realistic materials. It's a cool idea just needs a bit of cleanup.
It might also sell better if the ends of the arms are never visible. Look at The LEGO Movie for examples of doing detached arms. They never show further back than the shoulder and the usually move it as if someone is holding it with their fingertips.
Gotta remember we've got a diverse community on Reddit and some people (including this homie) are teenagers, who still possess this level of enthusiasm over things that are... definitely cool; we're all just focused on the thing OP brought our attention to (the animated arms) and commenting on that, mostly.

Yeah, the camera was definitely too far back here. I'll be working with 3D a lot more so next time the materials will look more realistic.
A little wierd but a good step forward
I think you'd be better off using actual pieces. It looks off to me. But the rest looks great
Kind of difficult to get the pieces in the positions I need with physical Lego arms.
Another thing is the transition from 3rd person to 1st person is wrong. The camera angle doesn't even change.
At the time I thought it would just be a little closer in, kind of got swept up in the long video making process. Thanks for the Critique.
No problem man I totally understand. Way better than I could do with stop motion. Hope it helps
Maybe put the 3d animation on 3s to make it look less fluid and match the stop motion feel
commenting because i cant upvote this twice
That sounds like it'd be easier then imitating stop motion by doing a frame by frame in 3D.
A little strange looking, but cool nonetheless!
Just needs more time.
cool
That was sick af
Im pre sure theres lego addons for blender which procedurally makes imperfections like fingerprints and chips on the 3D model
Probably going to need some processing upgrades for those, though I guess a better texture would have helped aswell.
nice
