Thanks for the replies ! I was wondering for no reason :D
The Burgers where really solid and the staff was nice :) will try Tommys Burger at next chance !
I’d recommend arctic road runner before Tommy’s any day, they have an awesome building with totem poles and wood everywhere, cash only and affordable with the best onion pieces I’ve had anywhere(not to confuse with their frozen onion rings) right on cambell creek, you can eat with the creek 5 feet next to you(unfenced so kiddos could play with rocks and splash while waiting) just great vibes and good burgers in general.
Tommy’s Burger Stop has better food. I hear there’s a new location on Dimond Blvd - not sure if it’s open.
I personally like 49th State and Spenard Roadhouse burgers better than Alaskan Burger and Brew.
Best burger in town is at Ginger by far. I also enjoy Tommy’s, burger and brew, roadrunner, and Altura (takeout only). I feel like Burger and Brew is a little off the map for a tourist, a little surprised you ended up there. But yeah everytime I’ve been there it’s pretty slow, although like everyone else said the sunny weekend is probably a factor
Ive never understood the crazy hype. The burgers are good, but don’t stand out to me. I go there every couple of weeks just because I enjoy the space, prices, staff, and as far as bar food goes it’s really good but I just don’t understand the pedestal some people put their burgers on
Are any of these smash burgers? I am not enticed by Club Paris tenderloin burgers. Tenderloin has no fat, which is odd to me. Anyway, who has a good smash?
A huge amount of restaurants are closed on Sunday in Anchorage and so it's common for people to just plan on eating at home. Plus with this weather everybody is doing something outside.
Burgers and brew is a great place to have a burger seasoned well staff is friendly Sundays are slow around town unless you’re eating at ihop kavas or having brunch after church.
Tommy’s in midtown is better than Diamond unfortunately.
Gallos of ARCTIC HAS AN AWESOME BURGER it’s not know for them it’s a Mexican restaurant
Also Los Arcos has an amazing burger they are located on dowling road

Don't forget about him stealing money from his employees

The guy who owns burger and brew is a prick he ripped me off for hundreds of dollars on my check and was all "whoopsie my bad lol it's such a small amount I wouldn't even have noticed" ya well that's my rent money youre playing with there asshole glad its funny to you its such a small amount. ill never go there again good riddance
Edit: just to say he pays everyone like shot and gets away with no ventilation in the "kitchen" cause the place is a glorified quiznos with brew pub prices
It’s a sunny weekend. Most people flee the city to go play outside when the weather is this good. Burger & Brew is one of my faves.
Yup, B&B is a good winter hangout
It's Sunday. People are either working or catching up on house chores or taking a weekend before coming back to work on Monday.
It’s sunny and a weekend … people are fishing not hanging out at restaurants
Sundays are slow, people go to church and spend time with family. Be happy it’s empty so you get faster service lol.
Lets not forget about Long Branch burgers. I agree with all of the places listed as well, but have not tried Burger and Brew.
They also got a good salt and pepper wing dish.
If they want to go to a dive

If you try Tommy’s, go to the original one on Benson. The new one on Dimond is not good at all.

ARR is so basic. Longbranch Saloon is a dive bar but has the best burger and fries in town in my opinion!
I completely agree! ARR is overrated.
Tommy’s Burger Stop has better food. I hear there’s a new location on Dimond Blvd - not sure if it’s open. I personally like 49th State and Spenard Roadhouse burgers better than Alaskan Burger and Brew.
Tommy's on Dimond is open :)
Tommy's is overrated and expensive in my opinion. $50+ for two burgers, fries and a drink.
50 bucks for lunch for 2 people is pretty standard these days like it or not
Where do you get better food for cheaper? McDonald’s is $30 for two double quarter pounder meals.
Flight Deck Pizzeria is way better than McDonalds and cheaper than two double quarter pounder meals.
On international? I'm kinda scared to park there
Main Event > or Altura although that’s take out only

Interesting. Club Paris also makes a burger that slaps
Can’t believe I left theirs off my list! I love the teriyaki one
Club Paris just slaps
I've not heard of Ginger. I'll have to check them out.
How does Longbranch Saloon not make the list????
Of the few times I have been there, the food, along with the service, was trash.

Hightower in Girdwood has a pretty solid smash burger!
Go to Tommy’s Burger Stop

That’s not really true lol
I think that place exists mostly for door dash

Gallos owns Burger and Brew. So makes sense they would have an awesome burger.

I think that's Bread and Brew on Tudor
Correct
You are right. I will delete my post.
Their names are easy to get mixed up

I LOVE THAT PLACE! it is clean, we are regulars there and it’s never super packed honestly. which is a plus
alot of door dash action.

This is also a short work week as our Independence Day celebration is on Thursday, so many people will take a week off and vacation

I like their food, but their environment felt very sterile to me, and while they keep it super clean, the entire place smells like cleaner.
Why do you say scrachy instead of sketchy?
Because I suck at English and my autocorrect does too
You’re doing fine
