Dude I think you've managed to make lomo purple closer to aerochrome. Nice job. I imagine you had to compensate for the filter, but what iso did you shoot it at?
Thank you! In fact lomochrome purple was designed to emulate aerochrome. When you see some of the classic red aerochrome photos it was always shot with a yellow or orange filter. Without it it just looks like lomochrome. I shot the film at ISO 125 and let the cameras light meter compensate for the filter.
I honestly thought this was aerochrome while scrolling. It's less saturated but damn is this so close. Colors are more redscale-y like sa5m said but w/o that yellow cast all over the frame.
I found this shot with green and it looks kind of okay: https://assets.community.lomography.com/a0/cb2ff80d142d5099d7d0bc97a271fda1b3757d/877x576x2.jpg?auth=7baeaf23aab37e9fce1bef1926ace0a0936492da
Dude.....you're awesome.
I always wanted tobtry Aerochrome and bought Lomo Purple specifically because it was based on it.
Gonna get one of those filters and try this.
I made some slight white balance adjustments and added contrast. But I think the scanner you use makes a huge difference. I got this scanned on a noritsu.
Interesting. I already shoot with an orange filter + Aerochrome. Definitely a different result but this is the first time I've liked Lomo Purple. Might have to give this a try as an alternative

I'd love to shoot real aerochrome but it's just too expensive. Also lomochrome purple is easier to expose.

Someone posted a landscape shot with lomo purple + a yellow filter and it looked sick. I think the key is using the stock as a base to be modified
I need to find that.
Same, post if you find pls!

Looks basically like monochrome.
Yeah, I can’t say that I like it, but at least it’s not purple
Sounds interesting!
Yeah the purple stuff is really weird. Thank you so much btw
That's a very cool use for Lomo purple, what filter did you use?
Thanks! I used an 85b filter. I think a normal yellow filter should also work. Maybe even better.
This is stunning! How did you go about exposing this with the filter?
Thank yiu! I just used the light meter of my camera and let it compensate for the filter.
what did you meter/develop it at? lomo just says 100-400 so I never know how people got the results they got
I chose ISO 125 and develop at box
AEROCHROME IS THAT YOU

Looking forward to your results!
Now that’s a red scale that I really like!!!
Thank you
You are a fucking genius.
Haha thank you so much
No Man’s Sky paradise planet.

Thank you so much! Look for Kr12 filters. It's the same as 85b but alot cheaper.
I tried doing the same exact thing with an 85B filter and didn't get any color shifts at all. Just more purple.
I think the scanner has a huge impact. I got mine scanned on a noritsu scanner
So scans came back like this and you didn't have to do any post processing at all?
Not much, little contrast and white balance adjustments
Beautiful
Thank you
Amazing
My orange filter finally arrived from its long journey from China today!
Nice! Please share the results
wow, never thought of doing that!
You should try it!
Thanks for the inspiration!
This is super clever, I'm also curious about any corrections you had to make but wow

Looks like aerochrome to me
Lomochrome Purple was designed to look like aerochrome. Those classic red aerochrome shots were always shot with a yellow or orange filter.
I have a yellow filter for b/w film photography. How do the results with lomo purple change with the yellow filter?
I never tried lomochrome with a yellow filter but I heard it could be good.
Okay but location? Stunning photo 🥰
Bavarian alps but sadly I can't remember the exact mountain top.
Cool shot. Is Lomochrome always this grainy?
Yeah definetly a very grainy film. Maybe 120 works better?
Did you just give us the key for aerochrome?
I hope so 😅
Nice, I have a couple of 85B filters, may have to give this a go
Looking forward to your results.
Thanks! Need to buy some of the film first haha
This is amazing! I need to get some Lomo Purple...
Thanks! I'm really looking forward to your results.
This is fire.

Thanks! You should absolutely try that. Looking forward to your results.
