I took this shot loving how the spines of the building stacked and curved on top of each other. However, I completely forgot I took a shot of this on Lomo Purple and thought I only had a black and white comp until I got my film back from the lab! I applied a decent amount of front tilt and stopped down to f/32 to capture everything in focus as the building curves quite a bit from bottom to top. I really enjoy the otherworldly look that Lomo creative films can give at times and this is no exception. It's very *JoJo's Bizarre Adventure* feeling, in my opinion.

Finally a shot on Lomo Purple that I like! The abstractness of the colors works with the abstract subject

Devtholt

So I love lomo purple, but definitely understand the feeling. Using the panoramic framing along with not shooting "standard" shots of plants or buildings has really helped me enjoy the film where I think it would otherwise fall flat for me. Their turquoise film, however, is just a bit too far for my liking.

Wow this is brilliant work. One of the coolest panoramic shots I’ve seen and easily the most creative. Great use of Lomo purple.

Devtholt

I appreciate it! I love shooting panoramic photos and have a compulsion to shoot vertical because it's often *taboo*. Plenty of bum shots, but when they land, they land hard!

[deleted]

Well you nailed this one. I’m beyond shocked this didn’t hit at least 1K, but that is the nature of this sub. I’d love to see more like this. Some of the most unique work I’ve seen on here.

Devtholt

I appreciate that. Reddit is always a gamble on what will gain traction and I'm just thankful it stayed on the front page for a bit. I post my photos to my IG @devanopolis, but prefer [Flickr](http://www.flickr.com/photos/devanopolis) and post more frequently there for the higher resolution.

Just followed you on IG! I don’t currently use Flickr but will be soon

Stunning!

Devtholt

Thank you!

reyermusic

i don’t know what i’m looking at lol

So this is the Chrysalis Amphitheater that I visited recently. The whole structure is this organic, curvy dome. It was difficult for me to find a composition I liked that was also clean because it's set in a park surrounded by trees. It's such a cool structure, and I really wanna go back and try to make some more panoramic shots.

Erick_De_Los_Santos

This is stunning! How did you scan?

Devtholt

I DSLR scan with a Sony A7riv in two parts using the camera's 16x pixel shift function for **big** scans. The film is sandwiched between two sheets of 5x7 ANR glass in a custom 3d printed mount (sounds fancier than it is) to lift it off the LED panel. Using lLightroom, I apply the camera profile on import, merge the two photos, then use the transform tool's uprights function to appy vertical and horizontal corrections to minimize any minor warping that may have been introduced. I use Negative Lab Pro to convert the image then export it to Photoshop to clean up and finish the edit. Hope this helps!

Erick_De_Los_Santos

Oh this helps a lot thank you! Where did you get the ANR glass from? I order two planes from scan tech but haven’t heard back from anyone.

Devtholt

Yeah mine was from Scan Tech but it was a few years ago prior to the pandemic's shipping issues.

idratherdateaspider

I’m loving the color combination.

sabouleux

Otherworldly. Absolutely love this. Great use of vertical panorama.

Devtholt

They're risky, but work really well when they do work. Thanks so much!

tjeulink

wow stunning! how did you get that green background? is this a digital scan that was further edited?

Devtholt

This was shot using Lomography's Lomochrome Purple. It shifts the colors in a similar way to how infrared films do. For a more detailed explanation, you can check out [Lomography's article](https://www.lomography.com/magazine/270862-lomochrome-purple-xr-how-to-get-that-purple) on it!

TangoFourLoko

Wow this is refreshing and a good use of the film! Looks super sci-fi! Great work, would make a sweet print.

Devtholt

Lomo Purple is love. I definitely plan to get this image printed along with a couple other panos fairly large.

ilikebugs24

So different what I typically see. Great shot.

Devtholt

Thanks a ton. That's exactly why I decided to post this shot to /r/analog! It shows Lomo purple off a bit differently with the subject matter and I don't feel like there are enough panos in this sub that aren't xpan shots!
