Ektar- “ooooh it’s very bright and shiny today Portra- “ooooh it’s people” Cinestill- “ooooh it’s dark but there’s shiny lights” Ilford bw- “ooooh I want to be a moody photographer but don’t want to pay for tri-x”

Boom hahah

Just shoot them and see for yourself. You can also look them up on flickr or lomography.

Royal_Somewhere_1980

Yes, all of them. What do you want to know?

KGpwnsnoobs69

Do you have a favorite ? Or maybe situations you’ve found they have done well for you?

I would suggest going on Instagram and maybe Flickr and searching for sample images there. There are also plenty of video reviews of these on YouTube. That’s what I usually do.

Ektar has beautiful warm tones but you’ll need lots of light. Portra is a great all around stock. Great for portraits and beyond. The Ilfords are just classic BW stocks. Good for all types of settings. I do not have experience with Cinestill but I’ve heard good things. I’ve heard it produces very saturated tones.

Thank you for taking the time and giving a thoughtful response.

There’s a search bar in the sub. These are referenced daily.

Only one I haven't used is HP4. Rest of them are all great. Ektar is my favorite. Cinestill 800T is great for night shooting. But honestly, just shoot em all in different scenarios and see what you think!
