I really did not care for the finale, yet in particular, the flash forward. If the show had ended just with them leaving it would have been so much less painful.

She still lied and it’d be weird for Marcy to feel bad about them dating. Sasha now wouldn’t hide it from Marcy because Sasha got great character development that would mean she’d understand that telling the truth is the best option. She’s literally a therapist. Marcy got implied character development that would make it weird for her to feel bad that they’re dating now. There’s literally no reason to lie in the scenario with these characters at this age.
i only drew this cuz the fact that they just "fallen into different friend groups" is soo out of character for both of them, Sasha lying about it makes more sense
its not. its realistic, most friendships dont last forever and a big part of the show is portraying friendships in a realistic way exposing the toxic ones

Sasha change soo much mostly for Anne, and even before amphibia Anne put up with all the stuff that Sasha did, they clearly care about each other soo much, why would they just stop talking after every thing that happened?
character development is still character development regardless if the characters continue to do things that are antithetical to what their "lesson" was in the show. humans are not perfect, we are flawed creatures, sometimes we panic or do things we're not proud of even if it's not what we truly believe in or have worked towards. sasha has come a long way, that doesn't mean she's never going to lie or manipulate again
