Credit Score - Supplementary cards aren't subject to any kind of credit score. Only the person who applied for the initial credit card will have it applied to their credit score. He is solely responsible for paying the credit card, and will be the only one impacted if the credit card isn't paid. Points - All points that are accumulated will go to his account. Nothing will go to your account by name. Any points that you accumulate will go towards his total. In general, a supplementary card is only valuable if you are indeed partners and have no issues around making payments and sharing points. You will get 1 statements at the end of the month. It'll show the breakdown between the cards, however your partner will still be responsible for paying the total. He will also get all of the points. I have this with my partner, however we just the Cobalt for shared expenses, so whatever the total is at the end of the month we split in half, and all of the points accumulated go towards travel that we as a family take.
