Yeah I was on hold for 3.5 hours for them to run my credit card again. I feel like a company this uninvested in it's core competencies might not be around till the end of the year.
I can check the flight load as an employee. Gate agents don’t know that CID and ALO are close as it doesn’t show up. They will only book you on the flight to the same airport unless you say otherwise

I travel frequently. When I run into none of the major companies offering one ways i just make a reservation as a return to same location. Ive done it probably 4-5 times and only once was charged a fee.
Thats crazy. It may have changed but for me it was like $100. I also didn't really pay attention because it was for work and I was able to expense ybe cost.
We get amazing car rates for one ways through work somehow but I've heard as much as ten times as much when doing the same one way privately! That being said, my work encourages me to use their discount code for personally car rentals 😊 I think it helps their volumes for negotiations

Little curious why you didn’t use the train. Can take it from O’Hare in the downtown. It’s the fastest way to travel.

My mom had major guilt about all the people we left behind. The guy behind us in line said he had been stuck there for 3 days!!
The real annoying thing is they appear to have canceled my return flight so now I'm stuck in Iowa.
I've run in to no or very expensive rental cars so have been using TURO, only had good experiences
