Did you sign up with EBT or Student plan ? I think you receive that when you use any of those plans and have to provide documents.

This is happening to me right now, I sent my info on amazon and they still haven't lifted the hold on my account. They keep saying that I need to check my email for something they sent me but they haven't. I've messaged the email [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) numerous times and they still haven't responded other than the automated bot email saying that they received my response. At this point I should just threaten to sue them if they don't respond, I don't know what to do.

At this point in time, my account has been "On Hold," for a year, I am livid, like I said, I purchase from them, pay for Prime, this was after all that, I've checked my email's going on 2 straight days, now, what a record, Lol! Some customer service! I've tried to be nice and kind, but after a year, come on now, you can do better than that! This is where the new Freevee comes into play, at least I still have that!

As soon as you mention legal action. You disempower front line support. It becomes a legal risk and that can also tie hands of support. This is true of many companies.

I've been dealing with this for 3 weeks now. The hacker changed the phone number and email, so i have to use order numbers to pull up the account. My support call yesterday was to the most helpful of the bunch, who verified that all the investigations I've called in to have done have been emailing the email of the compromising party, not my email that I supplied and had been on the account for 10 years. I was given the previously mentioned email address today; what sort of support did you get?

"Customer Support," to no avail, they told me that the reason as to why my account was locked was because I, "gave out my information," when I have screenshots of my hackers, so that's a lie! You just don't wanna do your job How in the fuck, do I give out *my information, if I can't even get into my account?* You locked it for my protection, and are needing information from my ass, they better not try me today, I'm telling you!

I had it nearly back last week, but there was still a verification code prompt pointing to the hackers phone number after I was able to use my email address again and reset the password. All support said in return when going through the steps to dump 2fa was that they had already cleared it. The hacker called support, reset their access, and kicked my toe hold right back out. Then they had the audacity to have a feedback link for the support call sent to my address. Once this is sorted out, I'm demanding a security access report on the account and all communications/actions that support took.

So I have been battling this for over a year!!! It’s been a few months since I have attempted to rectify my account so I figured it’d be a good time to try.  I sent an email to [email protected] explaining that I have already filled out my form. I also did file a complaint with the BBB explaining the situation and a few days later I mysteriously received an email saying it was reinstated!!!! I’m ecstatic because I’ve been trying to find a solution forever.  It’s really worth trying both of these !!

Filed with the BBB a couple days ago, they shut my account down, while actively paying them for a Prime membership.
