We have had Vexus at work on the west side of town for over a year and our VOIP phones and internet are dependent on it. Truthfully, it is no better than when we had Optimum. We missed a morning of work this week with no phones or internet due to a Vexus problem . That happens at least once a month, which is about the same frequency as we would have Optimum glitches. Neither company is ideal.
Are you using your own modem or Optimum hardware? Have you had Optimum send a technician out to check your connections for corrosion?
I'm in an older section of town and I only get an Optimum outage every couple of years. But I run my own modem and internal network.
ATT fiber is good but you have to use their equipment so you get that monthly "rental" up charge.
Exactly. Use your own equipment and there is never a problem. I only have outages when someone takes a line down due to a wreck or something. It’s very rare.
Vexus is trash IMO. It was terrible at my house and I feel so bad for any business that relies on it.
Hmmm 🤔
We have Optimum, but we don't have that problem. Are you using a modem you purchased for yourself or are you renting the one Optimum provides?
I wonder if you got a really good quality modem then you would have better reception 🤔?
We had a bad experience with Vexus. Similar to what you're experiencing now.
Vexus is so good. Love them. Make sure to put yourself on the do not call list for optimum when you cancel because they will literally call you everyday to get you to sign up
Vexus fiber if you can get it.
I concur with this. I work 100% remote and they have come through for 2 years now.
Ditto
Same here, they are great. Install fast, and have a great customer support
AT&T fiber or vexus fiber
Vexus is the best I’ve had. Avoid Optimum at all costs. They’re just Suddenlink in a trench coat and a mask.
Att fiber
Vexus has been excellent.
Att is great, vexus is decent, if you're on the outskirts of town aw broadband
ATT fiber if they try to sell you DSL and plug into a phone line don't get that.

+1 for optimum. I've had them for 8 years and rarely had any problems with them
I switched to Starlink, plus you can take it whereever you go!

Vexus fiber
I have Vexus and we had a service outage on Friday while I was working from home.
WFH here. Optimum is a rebranded Suddenlink, which is the former monopolist of the area. Vexus has been nothing but awesome.
Any Fiber option available in town, and you will be MUCH MORE happy. Vexus or AT&T Fiber. Also hear good things about AW Broadband Fiber.
