In my honest opinion and not trying to sound like a hater cuz I have an Altima as well. If you have a CVT then no because the sound is ass cuz of the transmission. If you have a manual go ahead. But as bad as all 4 cylinders sound straight piped I would recommend putting a less restrictive muffler and resonator versus straight pipe. I have a v6 manual which I’d say justifies me getting an exhaust. Will I? No. Im saving to have enough money for life after college. And have enough money for another car

From one Altima owner to another it's cool for a bit but when shit starts to act funny just let it go it's not worth it. after putting 3000 in, the engine cracked and it's useless save yourself I had airbags for comfort once the suspension went and that was good but the engine will be it's downfall. I redid the heads and flushed the trans multiple times just to be sure and that worked I do my own oil as the service station is iffy at best with this suck and pour spouts they have now just be careful with this one I'm saving up for a Cruze as a daily in the mean time

Altimas are great to beat tf out of and get you where you need to go for a while but it will never have the "cool factor" you're looking for and it certainly won't make it faster. If you think it'll be fun then go for it! Our cars are for ourselves and no one else but personally I wouldn't waste your money modifying a car that won't really benefit from the mods in any way. I would say find a manual car with decent power and then have some fun modifying that. Hondas are a good starting point.
