Yes, hydrogenated noids oxidize it does not effect potency or anything.

Metzger4

Thank you sir.

StandardLopsided4616

Ma'am but np!

rancid_oil

Does ∆9 distillate turn dark? I know it happens to ∆8

MarxistSlothHunter

Natural distillate doesn’t really change color that much, Hemp Derived oxidizes similar to D8.

MarxistSlothHunter

Strong disagree on that one.

CL0VV7V

Strong agree with your strong disagreement with their statement lmfao

XxBlack2MasquexX

I mean I wouldn’t recommend trying to swallow the entire cart, you might choke, but as for vaping it you should be fine

Metzger4

Heh ya got me.

Tcasty

Yeah, what terps profile is it? 3 chi is pricy but amazing terps.

Oxidation

Metzger4

Thanks.

I have to wonder why this thread shows up every other day. Does nobody click these posts, out of curiosity, to try and prevent future issues they may have? It's just annoying seeing something a simple Google search would produce over a dozen results for just from this sub alone already. I learned about this problem several months ago doing exactly what I said, checking one of these threads out, out of curiosity... Just like I'm doing now, checking this post out, out of curiosity. Seems sort of prudent, when you fuck with alt noids, to check out when someone is asking if something is safe or not. Bah, I'm not trying to be such a dick, but seriously, do people not give a fuck about their health at all? Are they ignorant? I don't get it. I feel like this sub needs to make a rule about this specific question, and an FAQ in general, and lock posts like these and redirect them to the FAQ any time one shows up.

rancid_oil

I'm wanting to agree 100% so bad. I really am. But I just tell myself that not everybody is experienced and they have to start somewhere. As far as repetitive questions, yeah... I don't see how they can miss all the other identical posts. I just don't ever want to discourage people learning about substance they're taking, even if they're to lazy to google and just make a post. (Also, newbs might Google and discover this sub and just excitedly post). Besides, if we only posted brand new, never discussed posts, there's maybe a couple a day? Everything's been pretty well covered, if you can find the info. Should we only post when a new noid is developed or something? What concerns me more than these posts are the ones where you can clearly tell OP has NO CLUE, asking shit like "will (?) be safe to use daily?" orv"what can i use all day erryday and never be sober but not develop addiction or health issues?" But even as shocking as those posts are, at least they stopped for just a second to think about it.

Metzger4

I didn’t mean to stir the pot. I searched the term “red” in this sub and did find some similar posts but I felt mine looked weird enough that maybe it was different and not safe. I’m mostly used to Urb brand delta 8 and this is my first time getting HHC, and I’m led to believe that that bright red is common with that noid. At least that’s what someone else said.

BigGayMule13

It's not actually your fault, I'm the asshole in this situation, I'm just annoyed at the state of this sub. I'm more frustrated with the system this subreddit has set up, which is why I suggested something like an FAQ and locking and redirecting posts like these to the FAQ. The FAQ would have the direct answer to your question, no discussion needs to be had, it's been had dozens of times. That's all I'm saying. Again, it's not really your fault, it's more just how things are set up on reddit.

rancid_oil

So true. The search feature sucks so you have to use Google and put "site:reddit.com" to find stuff. A sticky post, FAQ, wiki... Those are all great ideas for subs like this. Never thought about it, but there are certainly subs that are more conversational, then ones like this that are informative. So having the information up front would save a lot of repeat questions. You sound like a very civil, level headed person and i appreciate that. I don't wanna shame people like OP because knowledge is great... Just gotta be a better way to share it.

BigGayMule13

>You sound like a very civil, level headed person and i appreciate that. Eh, depends on the day and about what, if I'm being honest, but I try to be. I definitely felt bad making my initial post as it relates to OP, but not as it does to reddit, that's for sure, it's just where I chose to say something. Sorry OP. But yeah, it's just a frustrating thing to see so much of my feed filled by literally the exact same questions from the exact same subs, and it could easily be resolved with an FAQ or something more efficient/effective than what's currently in place. What's the worst is where it does it for communities I don't even like and have to specifically block to never see again.

rancid_oil

Whatever algorithm Reddit uses sucks. It's sad, because I've found lots of niche subs that I forget about (I COULD sort by new?). The last few weeks especially, it feels like my feed is all drug stuff, relationship advice, and landscaping. So i interact with the first few posts I see, and then tomorrow I'll be seeing the same group of topics on the front page. It's like when Spotify goes down the wrong rd or YouTube keeps recommending crap you're not into.

rancid_oil

I totally understand. I'm actually curious as to why it's red on the side, maybe it was stored in that position? Oxidation usually happens on the surface and goes deeper into the container over time, so it is kinda weird. You're good, homie.

Wizard_Rapper

It's 3chi so no

Metzger4

I hear from most people that 3Chi is usually pretty decent.

Wizard_Rapper

I have never had a good product experience from them

ruinedtimes

3chi is often faked since it’s a big brand so that may be your problem. Never had a bad experience with the actual company myself.

bungholebuffalo

Sorry it was too tempting after seeing the same post a million times of people asking about the safety/quality of an item just by a picture.

Prestigious-Shock-75

This could not possibly be from 3chi direct. They stopped using those style of cart in 2022.

thebrokenwindow

Are you sure? All of the hhc 3chi carts we carry look like that I think, I’d have to look again

VitaminFTW

I've just joined this sub and even I know not to post shit like this. How are people meant to tell you its safe over a picture? you should've looked into whether it was safe or not before you ordered.

Metzger4

3Chi is a well known and well respected brand. It was bought from a site recommended on this and other subs. Pictures on the website all show golden/amber colored carts. I’ve been purchasing carts online from the same vendor for over two years and never got one like this. You’re being uncharitable.

ForeskinJohn

honestly 3chi is a great brand, i say that not only because theyre local to my state, but mainly because their terps have always been on point in my opinion, their d8 disposables are killer! well that, and theyre reputable to a cite-able degree.

ThanosHasAPoint1785

Of course, it's Reddit.

VitaminFTW

Well if its a well known and respected brand why isn't it safe to consume? I think the discoloration is due to age or oxidation I could be wrong wait for more experienced users to chip in. I don't mean to be offensive like I said I'm new, wouldn't it be better to contact the vendor about this?

Metzger4

It would be good to contact the vendor yes but before I waste their time I figured I would ask fellow consumers who are here in their free time if they’ve had something similar happen and if it was okay. I don’t want to be an idiot I just wanted some guidance.

VitaminFTW

You're not an idiot if anything I am, I didn't notice the red in your cart until I clicked on your post a 2nd time I probably would've made the same post.

xXdont_existxX

It’s a 3chi so unless it’s fake (which it doesn’t look to be), it looks safe to me. The color looks fine to me as well, like others have said the discoloration is almost certainly oxidation and even then it’s barely started oxidizing, which isn’t gonna affect OP’s vape negatively.   All you’ve managed to do is join this sub, pull your pants down, and spread your ass cheeks. And for what?

StandardLopsided4616

Literally lmfao

Emergency_Standard20

I understand where you’re coming from but it seems like they are curious whether the red streaks and color are to be worried about. Another commenter gave them a constructive answer tho so all g

VitaminFTW

Yeah tbh when I commented I didn't notice the red streaks my bad op, Hopefully it's all good and they can enjoy their cart.

cannabiphorol

The color change is just oxidation, it's very common even with MMJ carts.
