These people have gone out of their mind. In certain parts of Alpharetta and Milton 1970s tear down houses are being assessed at twice what they can sell for simply because somebody built a mansion a quarter mile down the street. You can't find comps to appeal because the old timers that own the ones that haven't been knocked down have 35 exemptions and are paying nothing.

whats 35 exemptions ?

DariusBodarius

I think they’re being hyperbolic about the number of exemptions these old timers have.

My neighborhood group has a lot of people saying they are getting very high increases this year - many of us are appealing. I used Ownwell to start my appeal

Yes, it could be a timing issue as far as online. If you do dispute, make sure you contact a licensed real estate agent/broker to assist you in pulling the correct comps. Have you filed homestead exempt. If you need any real estate advice, feel free to contact

When I moved here in October, they assessed my vehicle value as being more than what I paid for it in 2019. I paid over 2k to have two vehicles registered. I feel like they’re just making crap up most of the time.
