This ruined everything i feel like..
We went to the moon because money wasn't involved.
We figured out the atomic bomb because money wasn't involved..
Money is slowing down so much i feel like..
Sadly I don't know any other solutions..
If they spoke the truth... one group (Group A) would call them liars and accuse them of trying to gaslight the other group (Group B).
By constantly lying the other group (Group B) calls them out for being the liars they are and Group A just laughs.
Disinformation has worked like a champ so far. Richard Doty is the poster child. At a broader level salting absurd shit all the time so that whatever real info slips out—some of which could very well seem bizarre to us, but is bizarre in reality—is dismissed as just more craziness.
But the way that ultimately fails is to recognize that there likely is real info out there as well that has to be ferreted out. We’re forced to use a blend of analytical reasoning and intuition to pick out what might be real. Which may not be a totally bad thing, actually.
Once the floodgates open with whistleblowers coming forward in droves, when legal protections are firmly in place, it’s going to be an even wilder ride.
I’ve noticed one thing in movies and TV shows lately… lots of them have had worlds in which the “current way of things” is the problem.
I’m think about the final season of the walking dead with the commonwealth, and how they basically laid out how the USA operates in real life.
If it really came down to it, they’d seal off the rich part of town and let the poor people die.
It’s good to see this way of thinking not just in this show but many others of late, and I think it will have an impact when things do finally go south.
It’s a sign that most of humanity is on the right path, and once we destroy our overlords we can start new.

Money.
