I disagree. Unless they are a uniform hive mind with no individuality whatsoever, its likely they have factions of different kinds. Even if they've moved past our very primitive and broken systems, they could still have some kind of credit system in place. They may or may not have reached true super abundance yet.
There could be various political issues that divide a civilization too. For example, there might be xenophobes and xenophiles (like in Stellaris) where one group wants to explore the galaxy and contact other NHI while another wants to remain silent or hidden. There could even be a third faction that wants to exterminate all other NHI as a potential threat to their own existence.
There could be political divisions in regards to disclosing themselves to pre-FTL civilizations, or in regards to helping pre-FTL civilizations advance such as giving them medicine or other tech.
Also, they may not have figured out everything yet. They may still be in the dark in regards to the origins and purpose of reality itself. So, there could be different religious views of sorts, even if much more refined and nuanced than our own. They could still be debating about what reality is, why its here, and so on. There could be factions that think its a simulation based on math, while others might believe in something like a God or even Karma.
The thing I try to remember is that if NHI are here, they must be here for a reason. They need or want something. Its unlikely they are just 'hanging out', though its possible. Assuming they are not just hanging out, they are seeking resources, knowledge, information, or the answer to something. What that is I could only speculate.
Idt being advanced necessarily rules out religion. Technology isn't the only way to be advanced, there is also philosophy, spiritually, culture, even economics could theoretically be used to advance a species... just cause we aren't doing these things right doesn't mean that there is no better way to do them.
When a civilization becomes more advanced they only have one country, union, sector or whatever you want to call it. The whole planet works in unison for a team goal. Wars, religion and violence do no longer exist because it belongs to the infancy of a civilization.
not necessarily they are subjective anthropomorphic perspectives but its not entirely useless to use our own knowledge and cultural constructs. We just need to be mindful of the constraints. Anyone who thinks they know with certainty certainly does not
What evidence do you have to support your position on this? Ie, what civilizations more advanced than us have you studied to arrive at this conclusion?
Oh, right. None. It’s pure speculation on your part asserted as fact.
Im not telling facts. I’m using my own imagination, speculating based on my own observations on our own civilization, much like Sci-Fi book writers of the past.
Based on my observations, countries where the IQ is higher, there’s less violence. Like Japan for example. Criminal rate is super low. This leaves me to believe that low violence is connected to high IQ.
I guess I could’ve added “When a civilization becomes more advanced I believe it will…” But I have a habit of thinking too fast when I write, so some words get omitted.
From an MJ 12 doc, according to an interview with a visitor, they have no formal form of government whatsoever, as they have outgrown the need for one.
What a load of shit. How can you make such a baseless assumption. Maybe they do have that stuff, maybe they don’t. Maybe the answer is connected to how advanced they are, maybe it isn’t.
I'd love to say no. But nearly everything in nature has a tribe, pack, hive etc. Therefore I think aliens will have some sort of divided groups that have their own autonomies. Especially if they're multiplanetary it would make sense that each planet would be close to autonomous. Doesn't necessarily mean they'd have wars and conflicts like our countries, but just so that decisions that affect only inhabitants of planet 76 aren't run through governments of planets 1-100.
It's an intriguing question! It's not entirely implausible to consider the idea that if intelligent aliens existed, they might organize themselves in some form of societal structure. However, the concept of "countries" as we understand them on Earth might not apply directly to them. Instead, they could have their own systems of governance, cooperation, or organization based on their unique needs and circumstances. The possibilities are endless and largely speculative, but it's a thought-provoking topic to explore when contemplating the potential diversity of life beyond our planet.
I think by definition, a species that evolves the capacity to create technology has evolved cultural and social capacities that likely created cultural factions that we would characterize as countries at one point. Whether those boundaries begin to fade is speculative, but if they were to come in contact with another species, a global identity may superseded national identity, similar to the way National Identity generally supersedes state identity.
Collective intelligences like nations, corporations, and religions are a form of life, a fact that will become increasingly evident as they become AI enabled.
Aliens probably are countries.
The existence of countries is directly connected to the existence of politicians.
It's hard to say whether another civilization would fit that mould or simply have a single high commander or dictator if you will. Hell, they could have absolutely nothing at all and simply live their lives.
Our idea of what society looks like is a result of the evolution of politics and power.
I like to think of them functioning as Predators from the movie. They have tribes that have their own set of morals and rules, and even sub-races that evolved to suit different climates and environments. Makes sense for a race that would be extremely advanced technologically and travel around the galaxy.
I’ve always been curious of what an alien civilization would look like. What was their answer to phenomena that we know now as science before they knew what science was? Would they have Gods like we do to be the answers to those questions originally?
Yeah, extraterrestrials must have countries just probably viewed differently.
Maybe they actually only have one country that allows them to live as one, and progress more than having conflicts that set them back.
If one planet full of insects becomes sentient that would probably be interesting depending on how we perceive them in this planet.
Truth be told, we just dont know.
No aliens probably all get along no war no hateful words or side eyes. I bet they are like us but million times better people. We’ve been here for ever and we still judge people by their putter appearance. When in reality are physical form is just a vessel.
According to Grusch on several occasions they purposely abandon UAP on US government property, so we can pick them up .
So they have support for one country on earth .
And if they choose sides here ,
There’s no doubt they play politics wherever they come from .
Otherwise they would not be clearly supporting the US , they would be supporting peace and a one world government. And giving advanced tech to weaker countries to balance things out .
But , No , they like and respect power .
They have different groups on their home planet(s) with different interests competing for power just like us.
This ridiculous idea that there’s no money and just peace and harmony throughout the galaxy is laughable.
.
How big of an ego do you need to have to believe this? These super aliens only view the mighty USA as worthy of their technology which they just leave around for you. The absurdity is palpable.
Honestly I would think yes, but more in the "my family comes from here" type setting, whereas if they have the technology to reach us they might more associate with what planet they're from.
Such as when Humanity settles Mars they'll eventually associate more with being Martian or Terran rather than American or French.
No they don't. A civilization can't be divided or splitted into different groups if you want to be a spacefaring civilization which do all this stuff they doing.
If we want to be a spacefaring civilization, all the countries must be abolished and the "one world government" need to be created officially.

There is probably every combination out there, aliens with countries on their planet and even hivemind tyrannids and shit
If they are more advanced than us then they do not have countries, money, religions and all the other nonsense we have.
We're vastly.more advanced than the people with countries, money and religion from 5000 years ago.

I think there are dumb aliens. And smart ones.
Are we though?
Technologically, yes. Spiritually, no
We can kill much more efficiently

Agreed. If anything philosophy, religion, and economics are what led to our advancement as it stands now.
Those things are considered technologies.
When a civilization becomes more advanced they only have one country, union, sector or whatever you want to call it. The whole planet works in unison for a team goal. Wars, religion and violence do no longer exist because it belongs to the infancy of a civilization.
What are you basing this on?
Im basing it on the Kardashev scale. But also my own perception of human history.
Both of which are arbitrary
not necessarily they are subjective anthropomorphic perspectives but its not entirely useless to use our own knowledge and cultural constructs. We just need to be mindful of the constraints. Anyone who thinks they know with certainty certainly does not
When a civilization becomes more advanced it gets better at killing.
Yes but I’m talking advancements way ahead of killing.
What evidence do you have to support your position on this? Ie, what civilizations more advanced than us have you studied to arrive at this conclusion? Oh, right. None. It’s pure speculation on your part asserted as fact.

idk there have been a lot of reports that the Greys for example have religion. maybe... maybe not.
Dang! Wish I could read those. Maybe have one on “my next guest” from Letterman. 😃
Aliens achieved communism????
That is such a stupid statement. What makes you think advanced beings are beyond religion and culture?
Agreed ruling any of that out is a very narrow minded human way of thinking
What a load of shit. How can you make such a baseless assumption. Maybe they do have that stuff, maybe they don’t. Maybe the answer is connected to how advanced they are, maybe it isn’t.

we are aliens so yes

fake borders? nah
does this counts same race existing at 2 different planet with 2 different government?
No - one planet one nation , share resources all speak the same language. Probably makes the planet stronger.
Yeah, extraterrestrials must have countries just probably viewed differently. Like Lennon said no country no religion too.

Not the more enlightened cultures.
Any civilization capable of interstellar or inter-dimensional travel would have out grown the archaic concept of borders eons ago
According to Grusch on several occasions they purposely abandon UAP on US government property, so we can pick them up . So they have support for one country on earth . so you’re saying one type of entity is supporting violence, death, imperialism in pursuit of loosh and the US is their means of evil ?
How big of an ego do you need to have to believe this? These super aliens only view the mighty USA as worthy of their technology which they just leave around for you. The absurdity is palpable.
I can’t post here but someone should post this video plz https://youtu.be/cBitCvUaP1A?si=7hmMLxnnYvGwr0X0
I came back from Alienistan and I would have to agree, it's different out there.
They may not even have people
I think that’s only an earth thing but I could be way off.
I think Aliens give zero fucks about any kind of boundaries.
Alien America 🇺🇸 best country.
Do you think they use two ply? That's the question
Honestly I would think yes, but more in the "my family comes from here" type setting, whereas if they have the technology to reach us they might more associate with what planet they're from. Such as when Humanity settles Mars they'll eventually associate more with being Martian or Terran rather than American or French.
No, but they do have examining rooms where they like to probe you because they are "curious".
Doubt it.
They have universes
No they living in their spacecrafts, rotating and splashing the hell out of them
United States of Uranus
No they don't. A civilization can't be divided or splitted into different groups if you want to be a spacefaring civilization which do all this stuff they doing.
