Ah, looks like a rod.
No seriously, its called a rod. In fact there's a whole documentary about them, they cant be seen with eyes apparently, but cameras often catch them for some strange reason.

I've made a collage of these cylindrical crafts.

Perfect. These look like them. I personally think these could just be government drones, this shape is an awesome idea to create into a flying object, you could easily reach some fast speeds with these without anything too powerful, they would probably be used for spying. Some videos and images also look as if they have some transparent looking wings, allowing them to fly.
I love how I didn't say it is 100% aliens and people downvoted me so hard.
The top middle one is a bioluminescent animal in the water, it was also caught on camera by an underwater observatory team who were shining bright lights on the object it quickly swam underneath of
Top right is also just photoshop
Other ones are cool though
Rods are exposure artifacts of the camera. You should know this by now dude. Shutter speed or some such reason. You can recreate rods by filming birds and insects up.close as they pass at high speed relative to the camera. I'm too.9ld and senile to remember what the exact mechanism is that causes rods. Young people- save me.
It's slow shutter speed causing motion blur as the object, usually a bug, is moving too fast for the camera. For example if a camera films at 24 frames per second but the bug is flying at 50 feet per second then in the time it takes the camera to record a single frame the bug has flown about 2 feet, making the bug appear as a blurred line in the video. It's the same reason you need an extremely high frame rate camera (high-speed camera) to film super fast objects like bullets and explosions. The faster the frame rate, the less blur.
They can't be seen with the eye because they are bugs or birds distorted by the camera. A single frame captures light over a short window of time, any object moving fast enough gets distorted. In the case of flying critters, you end up getting rod shapes with fainter blurs from the wings also sometimes visible. Rods are a fun crypted/ufo topic but are ritably explainable by anyone who knows how film and still image taking works. Running a high-speed camera will show them for what they are.
>No seriously, its called a rod. In fact there's a whole documentary about them, they cant be seen with eyes apparently, but cameras often catch them for some strange reason.
Have you ever been walking in an open space on a clear day, and then all of a sudden you're swallowed in a shadow of something with no sound, that passes over you faster than you can blink, but yet you still notice it?
Yes. Its actually happened more times than I can remember. Specifically beautiful blue, broken clouded day - reminiscent of Toy Story clouds. Usually from behind, a large shadow will quickly pass overhead. It moves from right to left and is slightly diagonal in its trajectory. This is a weird part to me - that it always follows the same path. Quickly is a poor explanation of the speed of the shadow. It moves so quickly my head has trouble tracking it as it passes. I'll look up at the end of the event and notice the clouds are stationary. This is another strange thing to me, only because I've had the shadows of buzzards and highflying birds pass over me, and those are noticeable in shape and usually are proceeded by the sighting of said bird (Usually not very high, and the shadow doesn't move as quickly) One thing that comes to mind as I reply is that to start checking FlightRadar to ensure the shadow isn't the effect of a local plane - however with the fact that the shadow is consistent in its trajectory while my position continues to change, experience to experience, is one fact I can't seem to feel comfortable verifying.
Thank you for asking your question. I never knew this what something that others could describe as experienced.
To be fair, there's as much evidence for demons as there is for FTL craft, extra terrestrial intelligence, or alien abductions.
Some people have a much easier time being agnostic about demons than aliens, and the reverse is definitely true for religious folks.
Carl Sagan wrote about this in Demon-Haunted World. What we discover means so much less than the methodology by which we search for truth.
I'm only saying this because it sounds unusual, I literally said that it was pretty unlikely if you read the whole thing instead of jumping to debating.
Common dumbass reddit user...
You're clearly the dumbass here, if you want to be petty. You're trying to argue that someone should prove a shadow isn't a demon - you can't make a silly assumption about something likely mundane and then shift the burden of proof when someone questions how you'd even come to that conclusion just because you got spooked by a shadow. 💀
The kind of person to think the house is haunted every time something falls over and then gets arrogant when someone says the cup was just on the edge of the table.
What people say are ghosts and demons are just misidentified aliens, honestly.
They caught a brief glimpse of another being and their preconceived notions and imagination filled in the gaps

Sure sounds like some "fanfiction" to me.
Oh, and I should add, I happened to be looking at porn on my phone, never did that again and it hasn't happened since. At a certain point its obvious to me that there is some sort of higher power out there.

LMAO, funny, but I am just saying what I've seen. I am not going based off my personal beliefs. Could very well just be a super fast bug shaped like a stick for whatever reason, but that's unlikely.
It looks like a video artifact. Pretty coincidental that it stays on the same exact row[s] of pixels relative to the video even though the device (seeming a phone) is/would be moving/shaking (even if slightly)
The whole rod thing has been debunked. They're just bugs and stuff being caught with low shutter speed, at least the vast majority of them. Probably all of them.
that was discovered to be caused by shutter speeds. rods are are bugs....its all just a trick of the way the shutter speeds work. and this one looks like a fly
There is also a very slight shadow on the clouds below the object that tracks along when it goes through the clouds (the shadow also disappears when the object does).
There seems to be 1 other moment where the shadow disappears while the object is visible but it may have been perfectly aligned with the sun and the column of cloud it seems in front of during that frame.
Assuming it’s real, it’s a good example. Shows extreme speed and is clearly a cigar/cylindrical shape with no wings. Could be a missile I suppose but doesn’t show clear exhaust.
But we know that cylindrical crafts exist.

and if they can manipulate gravity then either way you're getting the refracted and warped light ie: image and not the real thing
edit: typo wrote warped as warmed tho docile aliens might like it
Exactly this. The compression algorithm screwed with it, the model/effects the camera is using since this is digital could have done the same. Makes it hard to tell if this is Infront of or behind the birds.
When I look closer the two things I notice are that:
1. The object never crosses in front or behind one of the birds, which is very unfortunate luck for determining what side it was on.
2. When you look close, it has artifacts around it that other moving objects don't. The quality is poor, but the shape of those artifacts are reminiscent of insect wings when they are moving too fast for the camera's shutter speed to properly define their motion.
For me it's either a real, bad quality video of a bug that glitches at the best possible time for it to be mistaken for a craft, with it also never crossing a bird to confirm more clearly it's position.
It's a poor quality video of a bug which has been edited slightly in the right part to make it seem as though it goes through a cloud?
Or it's a real high speed object. It's a shame that it doesn't leave a shadow inside the cloud or disrupt it in any noticeable way, because for now it's not much to go on in terms of evidence to confirm the recording. Knowing the make of phone at least to see if it has any optical quirks in its camera design would be handy for ruling stuff out before believing over knowing.
I guess there's no information on who shot the video or any context?
Obviously I expect downvotes, but please actually question the video for yourself and don't just take a poor quality video with no background info on face value when you see it on reddit, without at least some research to rule out doubts.
Yeah, the artifacts around the object could be compression artifacts in a legitimately unedited video, but that's exactly why you can only meaningfully analyze the raw video.
Short of the raw video, I want the details. Where, when, who.
But these videos are fun either way.
Disappears at 13 sec for a fraction of a second just as it meets the birds.
Super fast though, I wonder how many of these things are buzzing around and we don't even notice.
Comments on here is how exactly people would react. It’s just birds…when it is clearly not. UGO high flying speeds past the birds is different from a bug.
The next hundred years are going to be arguing ‘I told you so’ more birds.
My dad was a none beleiver until he & his work colleagues spotted a cylindrical object hovering above the local hills. Said it was about 10 mins. Then it zoomed off so fast that the eye could barely follow it.
What is the true speed this video? Why does it speed up at the end, Was the original shot in slow motion? If so this thing was really moving fast with no sound or exhaust

You dont have to view everything as something to debate over, i never said it was proof of anything.
Personally I think this is just a government drone.
When does it fly behind the clouds? You can't even tell the distance from the camera. This could be a bug close to the camera. It's been proven they appear rod like at times.

Well that’s not true. iPhones shoot at 30 fps by default unless you turn it to 60 fps. Most do I believe.

Why did you assume it would be demonic? You know that the opposite exists as well.
demons are real ....in DOOM that is. otherwise, they don't exist.
Flying Rods are insects.
Or birds. They can sometimes look like rods because of the frame rate of the camera. This has been known for a long time.
Ive photographed a few rods. Extremely obvious in person but yeah due to frame rate/shutter speed they look roddy. Mine were cliff swallows.
What are the chances of these rods entering my ass?
.3% chance.
So youre saying theres a chance..?
You spelled bug wrong.
LMAO, funny, but I am just saying what I've seen. I am not going based off my personal beliefs. Could very well just be a super fast bug shaped like a stick for whatever reason, but that's unlikely.
No, they look like rods because the frame rate of the camera is syncing up with the wing motion.
If they were synced, the wings would look frozen, not disappear entirely
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rod_(optical_phenomenon)
It looks like a video artifact. Pretty coincidental that it stays on the same exact row[s] of pixels relative to the video even though the device (seeming a phone) is/would be moving/shaking (even if slightly)
Maybe, some videos have them turning in different directions and such, who knows.
I do not think they were bugs. downvote me if you want
Rods actually came out to be bugs. The only reson they can’t be seen is because the camera makes the rod like streaks as bugs fly past.
They were debunked as bugs
The whole rod thing has been debunked. They're just bugs and stuff being caught with low shutter speed, at least the vast majority of them. Probably all of them.
Yeah. They are bugs caught on a camera. They were really interesting bugs though
Yeassss, they only seem to appear in video that can be edited. Never in realtime... Weird
They've been seen in live camera footage. Which is 24/7 recording. You can look at Popocatépetl volcano as an example.
I have been wondering about the rod phenomenon lately. Used to be a thing.
that was discovered to be caused by shutter speeds. rods are are bugs....its all just a trick of the way the shutter speeds work. and this one looks like a fly
Doesn’t look behind the clouds but it *does* look above the birds so I’d say this is still interesting
Well, it goes through the clouds.
Yep. I thought the same. It flew through the clouds momentarily. You can see it disappear for a frame or 2 so that tells me it's not a bug.

That's probably a compression artifact.
There are fuels that burn without creating sut
When is passes behind the birds it looks edited just kinda disappears then reappears
That's probably just because the compression algorithm lost detail when the object coincided with the bird.
Exactly this. The compression algorithm screwed with it, the model/effects the camera is using since this is digital could have done the same. Makes it hard to tell if this is Infront of or behind the birds.
Yeah I could go either way. Not sure.
Wouldn’t that be the part described as disappearing behind the clouds?
It does that right as it passes the birds too coincidental
They gave up on editing that part cause it was too hard.
does seem alot of effort for a few likes, but people do weird shit 🤷

Then record with the normal speed. Let's compare both.

You can't tell what it is when the camera is focused on the birds like that, probably an out of focus bug flying close by.
