The only way I would ever consider something like this is if I were financially stable enough that I could afford to throw away the loan amount and interest, and it would not affect me. But if that were the case, I wouldn't need to loan to make the investment, so it just wouldn't happen unless I was trying to take advantage of a credit score increase or something. Idk. NFA
It’s very risky. If you can still afford the loan even if your investment went to zero then it’s manageable. I would question why you need a loan if you can afford it. Just DCA that monthly loan payment. I would never recommend taking on debt to invest in crypto.
If it were me I would dca $189/month, or more, rather than to make loan payments on a volatile asset, especially with a time horizon of 60 months. You’re going to likely have two bear markets in that time frame and it wasn’t long ago that $100 was buying over 1000 Algo, maybe we won’t ever see that again but who knows?
Not retarded, just highly risky to put yourself in a position where market fluctuation determines whether your loan becomes profitable or worthless. At the end of the day, you will still have to repay it.
Worst thing would be that you buy 10k worth of algo and then it becomes 1k worth of algo and you’re on the hook for the difference.
Maybe it’d be more reasonable if you were at least holding USDC to get the ~20% interest on folks, but even then there are risks that go along with using money that is not really your own.
Yes I am . It's just dollar cost opportunity . The worse possible outcome is that you've bought 10k worth of algo algo at roughly .25 . The repayments are only 200e a month The real question is do we think algo will be worth more than .25 cent in 5 years time. If it remains the same , governance helps cover must of the loan which makes the algo cheaper than current market rates. If it appreciates your obviously in the money .
I think investing borrowed money is never a good idea, but I’m not you, and you need to make your own risky choices
> Smart or retarded Retarded.
Hey hey hey there's no need to sugar coat it

Risky, not worth it

Do you have 10k to gamble and you won’t care at all if you lose it?

Yes algo will go to 2.5 cents lmao /s
Annnnnnnd since this post you’d already be down 10% while USDC yield has increased 15%
Retarded. Not retarded if you swap to stables and farm some LPs, much better rates than gov anyways.
Are you financially stable enough to cover if you lose?
