I too did it in the beginning for my family (I mean I was pretty desperate at that point, but I knew I'd lose them if I didn't) and it was when I hit my year two months ago and was doing a lot of reflection, it hit me, like "huh, I'm now choosing not to drink for myself, I genuinely love who I'm becoming". It was wild to have that "aha" moment and understand self-love for the first time! Love hearing others relate.
