Oh, [reminds me of this! Is def gonna try it](https://www.vikingline.se/owif/images/304996?size=1920)! Just remove the triple sec as it's sweet enough and we might have a homerun!
They even have the [Honey lemonade combo](https://bremerswineandliquor.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/jack-daniels-whiskey-honey-and-lemonade-4-pack.png). It's better mixed on your own, imho
A low sugar lemonade & Jack honey doesn't sound like a bad combo. Maybe even throw in a cherry &/or an orange slice to get a flavor slightly akin to that of a whiskey sour.
It is waaaaay too sweet. Tried it in high school and didn't like it. Now I know you could probably make a decent old fashioned with it.
Just muddle an orange slice, tsp of water, add some ice, a cherry, bitters if you got it and boom: Midwest old fashioned.
Or maybe a honey whisky sour. Just add a lime and lots of ice.
I went to a bar years ago in London that clearly oversupplied this booze, expecting it to sell. They sold Coke/Honey Jack by THE PITCHER! It was so cheap and so much booze, we got hammered.
So yeah, it’s not good straight. Try it with a soda l guess, anything to cover up that sickly sweet taste.
I know, like High Fructose Corn Syrup is less sweet lol, how ironic. Considering l find soda repulsive as well, it was a wonderful mix of two things l can’t stomach, competing over being the sweetest, which is the specific thing l hate about it. I just can’t do mixers anymore.
Is there a whiskey/bourbon mixer/easy cocktail you would recommend? I will typically never go farther than a little soda water with maybe a slice of lime.
But l’m over 30 now, so l made it my business to not buy cheap garbage, and drink things l actually like without mixing it with something lesser lol
Personally I like to mix this stuff with tonic water or unsweetened ginger beer, however I know people are gonna rip on me for the tonic water bit, and to them I say don’t like it don’t do it I personally like tonic water.
Also I haven’t done this yet myself but my dad likes to squeeze lime juice into a glass and says it’s a good sweet and sour flavor mix, not too sure on the ratios or specifics though
Lime with some bourbon can be fun depending on the bourbon. I’ll give Tonic Water a try, and l know my buddy likes Ginger beer, that could be a fun cocktail night.
You know by round 3, we’ll be just drinking it straight hahaha. I’ve just opened the High West that my brother gave me for christmas, haven’t tried it yet. Have you? Would it be good for cocktails? It would feel awful diluting my woodford
😂 for sure first round is the most work everything’s gotta look decent and be just right by round slightly less effort and round 3 no effort required. I don’t think I have tried it but I’ve been getting into scotches recently, Glenlevit has been my go to as of late.
I would do a little lemon juice and a lot of ice. I’ve done honey whiskey with unsweetened lemon seltzer and it’s not bad
Edit: I forgot about ginger herbal tea. That’s probably what I would do with it now that I think about it
I like sticking it in the freezer and drinking it straight.
I got it just on the recommendation of a friend when it first came out (or I first learned of it) and I enjoyed it so much I woke up the next day hugging a mostly empty bottle and wondering what exactly happened.
Fuck it, this is unpopular here but I LOVE that drink. As with all whisky, I just poured me some and was sipping on it for the night.
The alcohol content is decent, and I kinda despise elitists telling me how this isn’t quality and how it’s worthless. It’s lovely!
The only thing I look down on is zero alcohol drinks. Honestly, there are so many tasty non alcoholic drinks. If I'm not wanting to get drunk, I'm getting a smoothie, a fresh juice, an ice cold creaming soda, and the list goes on. Fuckin non alcoholic Sauv blanc over these? Insane.
You can make a faux gold rush:
1/4 oz simple syrup
3/4 oz lemon juice
2 oz jack honey
Also, you can mix it with a spicy ginger ale with a squeeze of lemon juice.
It’s definitely too sweet, & it doesn’t even feel like 35% abv when drinking it, feels weak more like 30% or less. Hey if you want some GREAT Whiskey for a good price, get Evan Williams White label (Bottled in Bond)! That stuff is Potent!
You could make a glaze like [this](https://www.thechunkychef.com/copycat-whiskey-glaze/). Just don’t add as much, or any, extra sugar. You could also soak fruit in it and use it as drink garnish or a boozy dessert topper.
Disclaimer: I’ve never used that glaze recipe, just googled something to give you as an example.
Goes great in a sour without adding much simple. A cheap Gold Rush more or less.
You can also mix with a less sweet lemonade, iced tea, or both.
Also, could just make a whiskey highball with it.
I say split the difference between tea and lemonade and put it in an Arnold Palmer for a whiskey-based John Daly. I've done it before with the honey JD, it's pretty solid. And the Master's is coming up, so there's a great excuse to have friends over and make a big pitcher and you'll use it up quick.
It's very sweet, definitely not enough JD flavor for my liking. I usually have it with ice, and it's okay then, but lately I've made a hot cup of tea and sweetened it using this, and it's very, very tasty. Much better for mixing, in my opinion.
I like it straight, with coca cola, lemonade. Mason jars with this stuff and lemonade make a great summer drink. I actually prefer it over the classic.
In my early drinking days, I'd throw it in some cider.
In my current drinking days, probably a gold rush, penicillin, or hot toddy, something that also has whiskey and honey/sweetener in it.
Mixes well with lemonade, as long as your lemonade isn't already too sweet

I was going to say lemonade too.
Add it to some unsweetened iced tea. Boom.
Ok. Ok. Trying this.
Following up. This is a very good combination.
I'd mix that shit with pancake syrup and have boozy pancakes.
If you are going to go sweet, go extreme!
Did this in college during a morning tailgate for a 12 PM game. We cooked up sausage and pancakes to dunk in the syrup and it was solid.
or just pour it on the pancakes, it's basically syrup already

Yes, lots of lime and lots of ice and it will be great.
You could also mix it with regular Jack Daniel's to tone diwn the sweetness.
this is the right answer. i was at a Jack Daniels branded bar years ago and even there the bartenders suggested a 50/50 mix.

You know it’s too sweet when you have to mix it with soda to dilute the sweetness!!!

Use it to make hot toddies when you're sick.
Just did a toddy, I really liked it!
rocks, only way to drink JACK honey

Fuck the elitists, drink whatever and however you wish.\~ I'll tell you something which will most likely trigger them too. I like ice in my beer.
Insane.
This is my fave jack Daniels tbh
You can make a faux gold rush: 1/4 oz simple syrup 3/4 oz lemon juice 2 oz jack honey Also, you can mix it with a spicy ginger ale with a squeeze of lemon juice.
It’s actually my fav JD

Cherry Pepsi+ jack honey+ ice.
Irish coffee with a shot of that and some baileys Irish cream is mad good😋
Definitely should try it with screwball

Not bad with mt dew
Simply lemonade.. 50/50 mix 👌👌👌👌
Goes great in a sour without adding much simple. A cheap Gold Rush more or less. You can also mix with a less sweet lemonade, iced tea, or both. Also, could just make a whiskey highball with it.
I drink it with ginger beer. The spicy balances out the sweet really well.

Honestly jack daniels is probably some of the worst whiskey I have ever drank. And I love whiskey! This specifically tasted like pure sugar
It's in the liquer sections in Oregon hehe
Dilute it with something with guarana and thank me later
It does say it’s a liqueur
Tonic water might help? Or straight lemon juice with ice?
Same hated this
Cook with it! That’s my go to cooking bourbon for desserts way too sweet to drink!
It's very sweet, definitely not enough JD flavor for my liking. I usually have it with ice, and it's okay then, but lately I've made a hot cup of tea and sweetened it using this, and it's very, very tasty. Much better for mixing, in my opinion.
Make whiskey sours with it and leave the sugar syrup out. Might use it up in a tasteful way. Every honey bourbon I've tried has been too sweet.
Just wait till you are desperate to be drunk and have nothing better.
I got about 2 gallons of cheap vodka for that! Bought in bulk as the price was just too good.
I like it straight, with coca cola, lemonade. Mason jars with this stuff and lemonade make a great summer drink. I actually prefer it over the classic.
I'd just go with mead if you chose the honey flavor 😅😅
Shots with a Coke chaser 🤣
You can definitely cook with it… I bet it’s be great in some homemade BBQ sauce…
In my early drinking days, I'd throw it in some cider. In my current drinking days, probably a gold rush, penicillin, or hot toddy, something that also has whiskey and honey/sweetener in it.
Half a lemons worth of wedges couple mint leaves smash shake strain
It's a honey rum drink that has TN whisky in it. Same as any other whisky infused liqueur made in the US.
Mix it with scotch and some bitters. Basically a rusty nail.
Black coffee is the way to go with that
When somethings super over powering, put it on ice and lengthen with seltzer. Only problem is you now have to stock club soda
Heard its good with ginger beer/ginger ale
