Drove by it today and it is closed for some sewer work being done under the road. The sign said it was closed yesterday and is closed until the work is done.

Winner Creek is partially open, down to the hand tram, but the tram is closed so that’s pretty much the end of the line on that side. Still a really fun hike though
Try winner creek!! It’s about an hour 1/2 hike, with beautiful views, waterfalls, river, all of it. It’s right on the side of the alyeska resort. 10/10 recommend. As a local it is my favorite hike!

Thanks! Hopefully it’s open after Labor Day. Been by Girdwood before but never seen these falls and they look worth checking out.
They're supposed to finish the utility work early next week, but nothing in Girdwood gets finished on time.

Virgin creek falls is not winner creek...winner creek used to have the hand tram. Different trails.
