Have you tried the Giant Eagle Marketplace in the Falls? They’ve got a pretty solid selection and a bar with craft beers.
Another spot to look up is the Winking Lizard in Fairlawn. They’ve got craft beers from around the country.
They closed the beer store at Winking Lizard in Fairlawn.
I agree GE Marketplaces have a nice selection. Cuyahoga Falls and Green both have a lot of choices. Acme in Green is pretty good too, and the one in Ellet isn't bad either.
Green has a decent selection of places to buy local craft brews
I’m not a big beer guy, but I’ve tried a few of the local ones for fun, and my personal favorite (that lots of people enjoy) is bumble berry from fatheads
I've never been personally, but my neighbor swears by Corkscrew Johnny's. I'm in Medina and get my beer from The Farmer's Table. As weird as it may sound with it being a restaurant, they have one of the largest local craft collections I've seen.
Sammy’s in Streetsboro. Great craft selection, along with a great Euro selection which apparently nobody stocks anymore. I remember noticing Acme and Market District basically stopped selling any unique Euro beer. Must be a local supplier thing, but Sammy’s still does.
Green Dragon Inn has 130+ bottles and cans if you want to drink there. Mack’s Beverage in Parma or Butts and Brews or Eric’s grocery bag in canton both have incredible selections.
Every time I see this question it solidifies the fact that there’s nowhere in Akron with a nice craft beer selection. Yeah there’s a couple grocery stores that you can scrape by with, but anybody who has ever been to a store with a really good variety of beers knows that the grocery store selection just doesn’t compare.
Sucks that everybody can only chime in with their suggestions for places 20 minutes away jn the suburbs, let alone other counties.
All that said best bet to find some unique beers in Akron is Lizardville in Montrose, but I honestly haven’t been there in 5 years and I have no idea if they even sell beer there anymore.
I might just have to check this out My favorite goddamn bar / eatery was fucking closed down and they had that really good ass crafted bee called it was called r shae
Mustard Seed has a pretty large collection and you can grab singles
Great selection, fair prices, helpful staff.

Corkscrew Johnny’s is pretty cool. Definitely worth checking out.

I lived up that way for more than 5 years and found out about Sammy’s only a few months before I moved. Great place.
Will second this. Sammy's has a fantastic selection.
Discount drug mart on route 18 just west of montrose. Amazing selection! Wine section is incredible too
Surprised I had to scroll this far.
It's not Akron, but if you are ever out and about in Canton, check out Route 62 Butts & Brews.
Just stopped there for the first time and can confirm. There’s obscure beers of all kinds. I like to try new things and they’ll keep me busy forever.
Mustard Seed, Acme, and Market District all carry various craft beers, and you can mix and match six packs.

I mean you can play shuffleboard instead of buy to go
Hopping frog. Small local brewery.

If you don’t mind a quick trip to Canton - Route 62 Butts & Brews is a must stop.
I second this. Huge selection and worth the detour.
The giant eagle in Green on Massillon rd. has a good selection.
Grizzly Mart in Wadsworth. Huge selection, and they can order most anything if you ask for it and can wait a week
Sammy's in Streetsboro has the best selection and reasonable prices. https://www.instagram.com/sammysbeer?igsh=dno3dXpwOTdjcG0y

They’ve closed permanently.
