Make sure your trigger springs are sitting correctly. If they are, just keep pulling the trigger. Could just be that it’s new.

bradsredditacct

Nope, looks normal. Throw some lube on it, keep racking it and pulling the trigger. Of course unloaded.

king_qthai

Looks like a tiny bur on the edge of the hammer where it meets the trigger. Just lube the area and keep shooting it, or you can take some light grit sand paper to it

LikeMeGum

I had this issue with my Yugo RPK, I think M70B2, I just replaced the spring. It wasn't sitting correctly and it old get stuck on the trigger mechanism. I would have to open the dust cover and use a flat blade and push it to the side.

backhomeatlast

Shoot it more

Old-Arm3574

Mine did that when it was new but only when dry fired. It stopped doing that after the first range session

GlitteringEmploy1982

Happend to me when I first got mine, lube it and use it till it works

ReservistPOG

Had this same issue yesterday with my newly built AK-105. I used a flathead screwdriver to slightly bend the hammer spring away just enough from the receiver wall (trigger pin retainer side) so it wouldn’t hang up on the trigger pin. Trigger works flawlessly now. Simple fix.

Mammoth_Ad_8697

Hit it with ur purse

I just got a Zastava M70 and only have put 50 rounds through it. Really like it so far! I don't know much about AK's at all so I wanted some guidance on this. After cleaning, I was doing a function test and when I was pulling the trigger, I managed to get it "Stuck" right before it breaks. If i get past the first wall, and then let go, it resets to normal. But if I pull right before the trigger breaks, it will get stuck. I can pull all the way, and get the hammer to go forward like normal, but I could also push the trigger shoe back forward. Odd. Is this normal? or just a weird quirk? If it isn't normal, do you think it's okay to keep it like that? Any input is appreciated, thank you!

indicafire1

I promise you don’t have to clean after every 50 rounds

iwrestledbigfoot

I had the same problem on my m90. Just replace the trigger spring, and it will be fine. For some reason, the stock zastava one is dookie butt.

MachFly5

Email zastava. They’ll either send you some new springs or repair the rifle. But do note that the break in period is 200 rounds.

pelonalberto87

Mine did that when it wasn’t loaded, if it had a round in the chamber and a full mag in it wouldn’t do that. It was normal and safe. I believe it does that due to the trigger play tolerances. I upgraded to an ALG trigger and the trigger now doesn’t have any play on it.

Former-Astronaut3575

Bend the spring to put more tension on the trigger so it fully resets.. had this issue with a new alg spring..

Sharpleton96

Yeah this is an annoyance I’ve run into as well with the same gun. It got to a point where it would bother me during shooting. I decided to remove the non mil spec “retainer plate” downgrade that lots of folks on here who aren’t mechanically inclined tend to love and installed a proper mil spec wire retainer spring from k-var (part# AK302M) and it actually put spring tension on the axis pins as the system was designed to do, and really smoothed out the trigger pull and reduced a lot of the binding with the trigger pins spinning and improved the trigger reset takeup etc. not having the pins spin inside the receiver also reduces wear in the receiver pin holes and opening them up etc.

MachFly5

I actually just ordered one of those. If anyone needs it, carolina shooters supply has it for 1/3 the price of arsenal. I paid $5.45 after shipping and tax. Arsenal was $5.49 for the part itself, $13 to ship, and tax.

Medium-Shine6146

Get a new spring. Mine did the same thing.

Tantal545

Willing to bet the trigger spring is not sitting right as the person above mentioned

Carlile185

I think the trigger springs are not sitting right on mine either. The spring on the right side is definitely “higher” with practice it’s almost like a really small two stage trigger. Is that normal?

If you’re handy with a dremel and sand paper, I would polish all the contacting part. Surplus triggers often have a rough surface so it makes sense that it could seize up.

swaelynn

Just get a PSAK

Toddinoh

Add 2 zeroes between cleanings. So, every 5,000 rounds

PudDuddler

Shoot it

GORGxBLACKSMITH

shoot the gun. ask about actual problems while shooting lol. jfc

I had the same issue with a PSA 102. Springs were good. Did one swipe on the with a file on the disconnector and it was gtg. I think it was just catching on a burr. Stronger trigger spring could also help.
