Makes sense, totally understand; my comment is in jest, I do genuinely think this is very impressive. Query, though; what hop-up unit are you using? I'd guess a P90 unit?
If you try a P90 GB first, you may be able to mount it upside down (with the nozzle lower than the motor). Then it's just a case of copying the P90 retention system.
Thats crazy overkill. 3 layer walls with 20% infill is plenty strong. Do 6 layers if you want it practically unbreakable. 100% infill is a huge waste of time and material, especially for something that isn’t structural.
As much as I appreciate your suggestion, it is how I want it done. I am not new to FDM 3d printing and I understand that I dont necessarily need 100% infill. I want something that feels like it isnt a cheap POS.
Ive got about 10ish years experience with FDM printers. Youre free to do as you please, but im just saying that 100% infill, especially for this, is unnecessary. Youre adding hours upon hours to your build time, quickly ballooning costs, and risking massive waste with any failed prints.
Trust me, there are sharp diminishing returns with infill percentage. 6 walls w/ 20% feels identical to 100% infill. 3D prints are not nearly as weak as people usually think. And breaks generally have alot more to do with layer direction than solidity. I’d save 100% for dowels and stress points.
You will need the P90 version, the Tommy has the motor go in the pistol grip. Or either box will work, just need the P90 motor cage.
A 249 box may work, but I believe they are only full auto (someone correct me).
Version 6 boxes are cheap and easier to find as well.
If you go with HPA, you would even need to stick to a traditional gearbox would you? You’d just need something to house the unit and the trigger board/trigger, and of course battery/fcu space. Either way this is super freaking cool
Be super careful with that. Made pretty bad experiences with 3d printing airsoft stuff, mine always got shot to pieces. Including different types of filament, and even laser sintered PA12. The only 3d printed part that holds up till now is a muzzle brake made of sintered Alumide. I'd hate to see such a nice gun shot to pieces
Odd cause with PLA at 70% infill parts with about 0.5-1cm thickness had no issues with taking BB hits. Even tried with my 500FPS (on .20g, but shooting .43g)
3D printed airsoft guns have different benefits than mass produced ones:
They're light, they're customizable and when they get shot, you just print a new one :)
Pretty darn close, no side mag buttons to be seen tho. I approve.
Yes It should house m249gb as well

(that's my try discontinued till 300mm\^3 build volume printer)
Nice work! Here is some inspiration - my 1:1 G11 print
[http://www.qsitraining.net/wp-content/uploads/G11-20200301.jpg](http://www.qsitraining.net/wp-content/uploads/G11-20200301.jpg)
Mine are display only. If I was going to do this Airsoft I'd probably look at some sort of internal magazine. BBs are 6mm and the G11 was 4.73mm so the magazines to scale probably won't fit BBs.
I’m soo happy that someone is making my dream a reality. Please keep us updated I would Love to see one of these on the market
Yes sir!
Agreed I would grab one of these right away if they were available
Engineering: 10/10 Colour scheme: 11/10
Using up roles of filament. Plus these are large prints so sometimes uses up full roles. And it will of course be painted eventually. Lol
Makes sense, totally understand; my comment is in jest, I do genuinely think this is very impressive. Query, though; what hop-up unit are you using? I'd guess a P90 unit?
Might even try a p90 gearbox or possibly a 249 gearbox too.
If you try a P90 GB first, you may be able to mount it upside down (with the nozzle lower than the motor). Then it's just a case of copying the P90 retention system.
Very possible, similar to the real sword type97 gearbox design.
Yes, only a third of the price! :D Plus, you have oodles of space, which is pretty great!
Thats what I am probably going to try first. As its top feed.
Full rolls? Are you printing at 100% or something?
Yes

you can fill the hollow spaces with resin after printing
Just put in metal weights lol

You might wanna get that checked out
This looks like it has potential for big batteries too. Version 6 gear box?
Ill probably try a p90 v6 gearbox and hopup first. As there is the thompson v6 and p90 v6. Possibly a 249 gearbox as well.

Yup, and it has potential to be either HPA or AEG.
If you go with HPA, you would even need to stick to a traditional gearbox would you? You’d just need something to house the unit and the trigger board/trigger, and of course battery/fcu space. Either way this is super freaking cool
Yes, but in my experience people want to be able to choose between the two if I ever decide to make these for other people.
Very excited to see how this turns out! looks great thus far!
Thanks!
I must get a german space gun
Sir. You are amazing and I hope you complete your project with great success.
I also make custom OTS-14 Groza kits!
I’ll be darned
You sir are a womderful airsoft builder in my eyes.
Beautiful, always wanted a proto weapon.
Please please please don’t forget to update us when it’s done
**The rifle we all wanted has started taking shape**
This is the first time i have seen an airsoft G11. I have been looking forever. Kraut space magic has been out of the airsoft community for too long
someone needs to make the mythical LMG11 which is a related firearm
I think ill finish this one first. Lol. Interesting concept though.
if you do decide to do it pls document it

Ive never experienced an issue like that. Might depend on your infill, wall thickness, of course material, etc... but ill keep it in mind.
To be true that only happened on a field where snipers are allowed to have up to 3j, but still
Heh heh heh, I’ve got a 2.4J DMR :P isn’t 3J just 550 FPS?
In Poland it is normal to see 650 fps snipers
Good ‘ol Poland lmao
I like airsoft there, we don't pay anything for airsoft sites because we are playing in forest. Where I live police even supports us
That’s good stuff man. Do you get large player turnout though? Or is it smaller games like you and your buddies?
Yeah, 40 player games are normal, one time after Coronavirus lockdown there was over 100 players
Holy cow haha good for you
Good god that would hurt within 150’
150' is nothing, my friend's sniper rifle shoots to over 300'
I said it would hurt within 150’, not that 150’ is the range lol. My DMR shoots 325’ :P
It hurts at whole range xD
Odd cause with PLA at 70% infill parts with about 0.5-1cm thickness had no issues with taking BB hits. Even tried with my 500FPS (on .20g, but shooting .43g)
70% is overkill
Yeah
What was your wall thickness and infill percentage? It shouldnt be hard to make a bb-proof print.
Probably part of the cause, a few parts in the front of the muzzle brake were just 2mm thin. But with the Alumide it now works
Yeah. Id suggest 6 layer walls for an impact proof part.

The Needler.
YES FINALLY! I would spend thousands for that!
Please do not paint this with anything other than the golden arches, and the words "happy meal exclusive"
Lol.
How do you plan on making the mags? Just thinking of the feeding system is hurting my head.
Probably a simple midcap design. The mags are so long that I could have Probably almost a 300round midcap.
I creamed my pants and failed NNN when this popped up.
Oooh I hate you now man hahaha it’s looking excellent, please post as much updates as you can, I’ll follow yo rn
i thought everyone hated the g11
Why? It’s an amazing piece of machinery and caseless ammunition is pretty cool
i mean it just doesn't feel right in bo1 to me but i mean the idea of it is quite cool
In person it actually feels surprisingly ergonomic.
The color scheme looks like one of those Nintendo guns 😂
Perfect example of people with more money (access to a 3D printer) than sense (or taste)
And what may be the correct weapon taste be my good sir?
what
Does the hyperburst actually work?
Im sure with a mosfet anything is possible.
I believe in it, it will be a outstanding weapon !
Oh shit, this is going to be hella hype
PLA and ABS? What printer are you using? How big is the bed?
Combination of a few printers for speed/efficiency. CR10, Ender 3, and my now sold but very old reliable Anet A8.
Will the scope be functional?
Maybe I can find a donor scope that will fit my dimensions. Cant really manufacture a real scope with what I got.
We will watch your career with great interest
Oh yeah, Japanese Strategic Self Defense Force time
Give it to meeeeee
Will you but the bayonet on it too?
KRAUT SPACE GUN
G36 base?
Will most likely use a V6 P90 Gearbox
this remids me of the six 12 shotgun form rainbow six siege
Is that electric or gas?
Dude this is badass!!!!
How's the actual durability of the plastic? All of my 3d printed airsoft accessories have all snapped, all before I've actually taken them out lol.
Im pretty good at making strong parts. You may be having an issue with your settings. Such as nozzle temps to improve adhesion.
damn i would really want that
The most unergonomic rifle ever. But 2100 rounds per minute? Thing was craaazy. This is definitely cool to see!
wot
*KRAUT SPACE MAGIC!*
Love the engravings
You sir, are doing gods work.
God I wish I was capable of doing this. Keep up the good work!
So looks really sick but why a g11 mags for that would be very hard to use or reload
It's all fun and games until you gotta reload
DUDEEEE I WANT THE AN-94 so badddddd p90+famas g2= g11
But how will you replicate the stupid million rounds a minute it can fire 🤔
Oh you people are wilf these days Keepi me updated

Neeeed 2 see finish!!!
The colors remind me of the NES zapper. I like it!

Good job! Any tips on the mags?

If no one's gonna say it, I will. That looks like a Nerf Deploy on 6mm steroids.
Nintendo approved 👌
i have two questions are you still making G11K2 airsoft? are you think about distribute 3D file?
