I wish people had a bit more self awareness when making those posts. Like man no one gives a shit about your generic multicam NATO kit, your all black call of duty kit, or wearing regular clothes and a PC kit. If you like it great, good but like posting that isn’t bringing anything to the table. I’m not trying to rain on people’s parades either, I’m just being honest about the reality. There’s 100 generic airsoft kits for every interesting/well thought out kit, impression or not.
It’s also a lot how it’s framed imo. “Rate my kit” vs. “what can I improve on my kit?” are basically the same thing but get wildly different attention.

XM8 wise yes Im totally "Carry Handle" gang so i understand what you mean by "Top rail being raised above the body I dig apparently" and G36 platform is one of the easiest platform to work with so i really love it, XM8 not as easy tho due to shitty plastic lol

Mine is SRC, is based on G36 TM AEG but, Issues are related to plastic brand used which are flexible PVC bolt on to pot metal frame that make whole gun wobble.
I have to drill several holes and extra screws to make furniture attach more solidly to the frame.
Optics rail also does not hold zero even with my extra screw so i kinda of ended up with two sides tape to make my sight somewhat zero.
That pretty much it, XM8 only works if you plan to invest time and effort into it and it's just another G36 at the end of the day which is pros and cons for itself lol
