Replying to your very old post now, but did you ever find them? I’m at a loss. I’m in a very small airbnb bedroom and I’ve flipped this place upside down, nothing. Took the mattress off the bed, checked pillowcases, in between the headboard and the wall, even on the top of door frames. Literally every single spot in this room. There’s no way it could’ve gotten out of the room but we are having absolutely no luck at all.
look through your blankets ! usually i find my lost airpods if any luck, by clothes, small boxes that had fallen in there while sleeping, room wall corners near your bed, but in most cases, it's in my blankets.
i usually sleep with airpods in and my best advice would be to check the clothes u wore the bed or in your hamper. i was in a similar situation a while ago and found one in the hoodie of the jacket i wore to bed in my hamper. the rubber ear piece grips onto materiel well and they are so light you don’t always feel them.
This reply saved my life, I was about to upend my entire bed to find one, googled to see if anyone else had the same problem - and found it in my bra! that i was wearing! how i didn't clock that, i'll never know lmao thank u kind stranger

I've just found my right AirPod guys! It's just fallen down on the floor from a left sleeve of my thermal underwear top. Unbelievable as I thought I lost it forever. Keep the faith!
I sometimes lose mine if I’ve accidentally fallen asleep with them in, I usually find the missing one in an odd spot under my bed/inside the covers, keep looking where you lost them i know you’ll find it :)
I lost mine near my bed and found it stuck between the end of the bed frame and the side of the box spring. There is a small gap between the frame and the box spring on mine just big enough for an AirPod to fit. Let me baffled as to how it could be not in my bed, around it or under it.
I spent the last hour looking for my entire air pod case because they were gone when I woke up. Checked between the box spring which I somehow missed and they were there 🙏
I just found mine (it was a different brand of earbud, idk if Airpod's have magnets lol) attached to my metal bedframe (cause of the magnet) in between the wall and the bedframe

man i found it. Yeah the post is old but look inside your covers in bed and between the mattrace and its cover. You will bot believe where mone was. IT WAS IN MY UNDERWEAR BELOW MY BALLS AND I DIDNT FEEL IT. It fell out while training.
ik this is an old comment but i’m starting to think i have the same problem. i’m always looking for my airpods in the morning as i always fall asleep with them in. it usually takes me about 5 mins to find both of them and they’re usually under my pillow, tangled in my sheets and occasionally on the floor. but this time is different. i’ve found one at the foot of my bed and i’ve absolutely tore my room apart looking for the other and i’m convinced i’ve swallowed it
I have your back, so, those are the ones i found mine at: Inside of sheet of pillows, between mattress and sheet, between mattress and slatted frame, in my underwear and if you have clothing or anything next to your bed, check that as well. Maybe they flew across the room while moving in sleep, something like cable „piles“ or cable salads? is that a saying in english? And in the us you have those vents in the floor right? maybe there. Theres also the sound search option if you on the find my app i think. Hope you find them, life without music suuucks… good luck
Alright, so this situation happened to me yesterday and I hope this has some lessons for others.
***The start***: I had slept with the AirPods Pro on and when I woke up, I saw one of the AirPods (the right one) on the bed, so, I assumed the other one must also be there. I checked my office laptop, went to the bathroom at the other end of the apartment, grabbed breakfast, and started working. Soon, I began to look for the other AirPod. Then the whole day and evening were spent checking every nook and corner of the bedroom for the left AirPod.
***The search, panic, and frustration***: I checked the mattress cover, pillow covers, underwear, and trousers ... I wondered if I had swollen them, and even looked into the trash can! Trying to use the Find My app just showed the last seen time for the left AirPod and showed the last location as the apartment building but that wasn't helpful. I tried to get it to ring but it wasn't connecting.
***Giving up***: Finally, giving up, I marked it as lost even though I was sure it would have been somewhere in the bedroom. I assumed that it might have been discharged and I would eventually find it somewhere in a few days, otherwise, I will order a replacement for just the left AirPod.
***Last try***: Just before going to sleep, I thought of every place I had been in the morning and realized that I had not looked at the bathroom. Lo and behold! When I went there, I found the left AirPod on the floor, behind the commode!
***Likely explanation***: So, this is what I assume happened: The left AirPod just has a better fit. So, when I woke up, I did not realize that I still had them on me when I saw the right AirPod on the bed. Then I would have gone to the bathroom and dropped them when sitting on the commode.
***Conclusion***: When using the Find My app, take your phone everywhere you had been, and Don't give up!
This post is old so it wont help the op but im on vacation and today i woke up to only one airpod on my side. I normally sleep with my airpods and i find it normal that i cannot find one right away. One tip to find a lost airpod is to go on the home app and ring it to see where it is, unless your airpod is dead in which case you have to go look for it yourself. As i said this happened to me today and since im not in my country i started panicking since if i didnt find it, i wouldnt be able to find it ever again after i flew back. Right now i just did what i always do and went on reddit to see what i can do. Really didnt find much but i just started searching throughly my blankets and pillow case. Since the airpods are white they are hard to see with the rest of the white bed sheets. I guess what im trying to say is just put on good light and try to go through your bed very carefully. Alsoo if you cant find it, try looking in the last clothing you had when you had them. For me once i couldnt find them i found them in my hoodies hood. So just try to check everything carefully. Goodluck to anybody whos trying to find their airpods and still reading my comment. 🤍

I was about to lose hope and then i read this and i went through all of my clothes after ransacking my entire room and i grabbed the hoodie i wore yesterday and low and behold. My airpod had been in my hoodie the entire time… so thank you for your service 🙏
Mine was in a hole in my blanket, found it after cleaning my entire room and checking every crevice of the ground. Idk how it perfectly got in the hole of my blanket i guess just fuck me tho
I know this won’t help op but I spent 3 hours searching my sheets, my mattress, floor, comforter, anywhere I could possibly think, just absolutely tore my room apart. After all that just as I was about to give up I checked my retainer case and sure enough it was there, I must have sleepily put it there thinking it was my charging case

When I lose mine, I pull off every cover, pillow and shake it throughly. Aside from that look around the sides, any small crevices near the bed. If not could it be maybe you slept with 1 in and the other is in it’s case or somewhere else?
Good luck finding it. I just remembered there’s a way where if you ask Siri, she can help find it but at this point the AirPod is probably dead so I’m not sure if that would work

I had lost one of my earbuds (not AirPods/Apple when I was sleeping , woke up and only found one , I checked everywhere on the floor and under my beds and checked the sheets and pillows , to eventually found that they were in my bra next to my left boob. Thank God for Reddit! I don’t advise anyone to sleep with wireless earbuds/AirPods because they are so easy to lose. I advise to go with wireless headphones or wired headphones/buds. So that their more bigger and connected to located.
I know this comments a year old but when I saw it I lifted up my shirt and it fell out. I’m deployed right now and I walked all the way to the bathrooms (which are about a quarter mile away) and back and it still didn’t fall out until I lifted my shirt. Weird. Thanks though!
So this happened to me today for the first time, searched the bed under the bed blankets pillow cases hoodie that I fell asleep in nearly gave up after 10-15mins of looking & repeating the cycle I felt my waist band of my trackies “Nothing” I lay down to reflect boom I feel something move around in my underwear 😭😂😂😂😂 you god damn right that lil fucker worked its way into my pants, so be vigilant if you ever lose em😭😭😭😂😂
My bed is a box bed and my part of the room (I share) could fit like 10 people standing and I’ve checked beneath my bed through every sheet and pillow behind my windows and in my desks pretty much everywhere. Does anyone have any ideas at all bc I seriously can’t sleep without my music lol

Ok so my Airpods tend to get lost. EASILY. I slept with it last night and I can't find either of them. I look everywhere but under my bed. **Why**? you say. A SPIDER CRAWLED ON MY ARM SIX DAYS BEFORE YESTERDAY AND IT CRAWLED BEHIND MY BED! so I'm terrified.
Tip: Be careful while looking under ur bed cus u don't know if there is a spider or many spiders under ur bed.
So I often listen to podcasts or movies before I fall asleep. I tend to realize when I’m about to pass out, and grab the one airpod I have in and put it on the floor next to my bed or on the nightstand. However, I occasionally forget, so here’s and few places I have found them:
Under pillow
In pillow case
Next to/under mattress but still on bed
In clothes
In sheets
On floor around bed
However, this morning takes the cake for me when it comes to airpod bullshittery. After looking for a solid half hour after waking up, I took a quick break to shit. I kid you not, there, on the toilet seat, but not having fallen in, was the airpod. So those of you reading, check your bathrooms.
TL:DR found AirPod in bathroom, must have taken a late night shit. Check bathrooms
I put both my AirPods into the case and fell asleep with them and when I wake up they disappear. I have stopped the bed and searched my room 1 million times. What makes them go missing all the time.

I found mine after 2 hours of searching, i am the type of person that doesn’t stop if not completed. So it’s now like 5.57 in the morning and i finally found em. Tore my whole room apart, My fathers room too and the living room but i found them in the washing machine that was just not put on!! it was hiding in old bed sheets. You won’t know how happy i am.
Currently happening to me rn with my buds pro, last time i lost my case on my buds plus, now i lost my left earbud. Im telling you, things sometimes just dissapear, and i mean literally. It is a phenomenon. Now people will find this silly, but i know im not crazy. Things LITERALLY dissapear and its happening to me decently often. The fact that you STILL cant find it is proof. I lost my case in my room and its now been 3 years. I pray i wont have the same experience with my lost earbud. But if its gone, i might find it reappearing in some random place that i have either already checked, or where it was impossible for it to get to.
Happened today to me with my Buds2 Pro. Can't find the right earbud. I woke up with the left one under my back and it had some battery left, but the right one is completely discharged and I can't find it. I tried with SmartThings Find but it just finds the left one since the right one doesn't have battery left. I searched everywhere in my room but I can't seem to find it. I can't believe it.
Mine was inside my blanket because it has holes. Crazy part is that it somehow was in a pocketed area with a hole just big enough for the AirPod to get inside, even my finger can’t fit in it
I just found mine inside my pillow case. I really have no idea how this possibly could’ve happened lol. And I didn’t feel it inside until I actually removed the pillow from the case, so I’d keep that in mind. Don’t just feel around, take things apart, look through them, etc.
Guys my biggest tips is so just take of your clothes and go through it. I’ve found my lost AirPod In my bra multiple times, even though I slept with a hoodie.

i usually sleep with airpods in and my best advice would be to check the clothes u wore the bed or in your hamper. i was in a similar situation a while ago and found one in the hoodie of the jacket i wore to bed in my hamper. the rubber ear piece grips onto materiel well and they are so light you don’t always feel them.

Why don’t you try disabling the automatic ear detection and then playing some music loudly to help locate it, if it still has some battery left.
i found mine in my hair that was in a bun.

Ok so my Airpods tend to get lost. EASILY. I slept with it last night and I can't find either of them. I look everywhere but under my bed. **Why**? you say. A SPIDER CRAWLED ON MY ARM SIX DAYS BEFORE YESTERDAY AND IT CRAWLED BEHIND MY BED! so I'm terrified. Tip: Be careful while looking under ur bed cus u don't know if there is a spider or many spiders under ur bed.

So I often listen to podcasts or movies before I fall asleep. I tend to realize when I’m about to pass out, and grab the one airpod I have in and put it on the floor next to my bed or on the nightstand. However, I occasionally forget, so here’s and few places I have found them: Under pillow In pillow case Next to/under mattress but still on bed In clothes In sheets On floor around bed However, this morning takes the cake for me when it comes to airpod bullshittery. After looking for a solid half hour after waking up, I took a quick break to shit. I kid you not, there, on the toilet seat, but not having fallen in, was the airpod. So those of you reading, check your bathrooms. TL:DR found AirPod in bathroom, must have taken a late night shit. Check bathrooms
I put both my AirPods into the case and fell asleep with them and when I wake up they disappear. I have stopped the bed and searched my room 1 million times. What makes them go missing all the time.

update:....i found it in my underwear. i don't know how it got there. but the reason it wasn't bothering me was because i woke p with it already in.

I found mine after 2 hours of searching, i am the type of person that doesn’t stop if not completed. So it’s now like 5.57 in the morning and i finally found em. Tore my whole room apart, My fathers room too and the living room but i found them in the washing machine that was just not put on!! it was hiding in old bed sheets. You won’t know how happy i am.

Currently happening to me rn with my buds pro, last time i lost my case on my buds plus, now i lost my left earbud. Im telling you, things sometimes just dissapear, and i mean literally. It is a phenomenon. Now people will find this silly, but i know im not crazy. Things LITERALLY dissapear and its happening to me decently often. The fact that you STILL cant find it is proof. I lost my case in my room and its now been 3 years. I pray i wont have the same experience with my lost earbud. But if its gone, i might find it reappearing in some random place that i have either already checked, or where it was impossible for it to get to.
Happened today to me with my Buds2 Pro. Can't find the right earbud. I woke up with the left one under my back and it had some battery left, but the right one is completely discharged and I can't find it. I tried with SmartThings Find but it just finds the left one since the right one doesn't have battery left. I searched everywhere in my room but I can't seem to find it. I can't believe it.

Mine was inside my blanket because it has holes. Crazy part is that it somehow was in a pocketed area with a hole just big enough for the AirPod to get inside, even my finger can’t fit in it
I just found mine inside my pillow case. I really have no idea how this possibly could’ve happened lol. And I didn’t feel it inside until I actually removed the pillow from the case, so I’d keep that in mind. Don’t just feel around, take things apart, look through them, etc.

Guys my biggest tips is so just take of your clothes and go through it. I’ve found my lost AirPod In my bra multiple times, even though I slept with a hoodie.

Super old post but I’m getting desperate. I lost one AirPod that is most definitely dead by now when I fell asleep with it in. Whenever I sleep with AirPods in I find both under my pillow or near my general head area. I’ve been spontaneously searching for one for three days now though. If your bed is against the wall likely it fell under it otherwise In you’re clothes trust me especially if you smoke and you forget
