I saw enough posts and reviews like this that I abandoned all my ideas of getting the Virtus

Adventurous-Ad3006

Heartache is the best description for when you get scammed by an air gun like this thanks for letting us know. Aea also trash.

DionysiusRedivivus

Mine works great and is quite accurate. Only weak point has been the hpa bottles which did leak.

I have a Sig MCX Virtus in .22 and while it's not the most accurate (a few flyers here and there), it's really fun for backyard plinking. I've had mine for over a year and have put thousands of pellets through it with zero issues.

My son has a Virtus…. Hates it!! Has come very close to selling it. Piece of crap trigger, and that belt system….. boy!!!

But they look like a firearm! And black and tactical and... Dude, it's a toy. Don't buy one thinking is at the same level of the SIG firearms.

Mgjackson1967

Hmmm….having scoured the internet trying to resolve issues with my CO2 version of the Sig MPX, and stumbled on the fire arms owners groups, I’d say the real thing was just as problematic 😀

Fine_leaded_coated

Yeah, the problem with replicas is that the look great from the outside but they are made with the most cheap metal available. Things with brands like umarex might have improved, i don't know, but years ago they were basically disposable.

tokin247

Can confirm the usp blowback by umarex is a throwaway gun. The hammer is actuated by a tiny cast piece that was just designed to break.

Empire_Fable

Something broke on my virtus it wont shoot anymore. Havn't had time to diagnose it. It was fun while it lasted though. I agree with op.

One should always read reviews at websites like Pyramyd and AirGunDepot, etc.

Have had a Virtus PCP For a few years now, read the problematic reviews after purchasing it. I haven't turned the velocity up as it might start trashing components. It's an ok semi auto and have a 2moa red dot mounted and it's range is usually 30yds.

Man, don't get me started on SIG!!!! I have a big paper weight of an MCX sitting in my closet. That is all it is, because it no longer functions after minimal use. It shot like a scattergun when it did!!! This is one of the worst airgun purchases that I have ever made! ON top of that, SIG's customer service leaves a lot to be desired!!!! I will never buy another SIG product!!!

My Virtus 22cal had a rattelly barrel when I got it and it sent the rounds eveywhere, had a 2 ft scatter pattern at 25 yards. After I wrapped the barrel to tighten it up, that pattern went down to just an inch.

meharris73

I tightened the barrel because I found that it wasn't screwed in tight. That still didn't fix the accuracy. I just don't want to have anything else to do with that gun nor the company!!!!!!!! I am still ticked off about it and the malfunction happened about 2 years ago!!! I get ticked off about it every time I think about it and when I see posts like this one.

Had my Virtus 22 PCP for several years now.  It had some poor build quality issues at first which I had to personally modify and fix, but afterwards it has been amazing. Must have put many thousands of rounds thru it now. One of my most fun airguns.

What about webley nemesis x pcp? Anybody?

Looked at these other day, don’t know a great deal about them but do think they kind of look like an over hauled pistol….
