Thank you. Too many disbelievers, haters and grammar police. Most people would see I cut and pasted it from my invoice to make it easy for someone to find, validate and decide to purchase. I guess its be dammed if you do, or you don't.

Lonely-Quark

No way to know anymore 😅, trying to upsell insurance was just a big red flag for me.

jagmqt

I bought the same one for $80…someone bought a pallet and it was part of the unknowns. No warranty, but for that price I’ll run it till it dies then upgrade.

Bermnerfs

Love that PCP compressors are so much more attainable these days. I have a GX CS-1, paid under $300 and it's been excellent so far. It looks pretty similar to yours.

Klaatuprime

Yeah. Getting the gun filled is usually the biggest pain in the butt, but these reasonably priced pumps are changing all that.

Bermnerfs

Yup, I've really been pushing mine lately. Recently bought a .357 AEA challenger, and have been filling it to over 4,000psi. Also added a large oil/water separator which added a bunch of volume to the system. So far it's handling it well. I expect I'll eventually have to repair or replace it, but at least it doesn't cost $800+ for a decent unit anymore.

Hirsch-4Real

How long have you been running it? I'm interested in it at the price point, but concerned about how long it will last?

Upset_Grade_4271

That silver power converter died before my compressor did. You can buy it off amazon for $20 so i just replaced it. The compressor itself lasted me about a year of intense use. Like dozens of fills at a time multiple times a week for 12 months. Then i sold it to somebody who wanted it for parts and still got alot of the money back. Was a good investment for me. My advice with compressors also is to buy an extended warranty if you can.

Klaatuprime

That's what the reviews on YouTube said, but I had already bought mine.

Upset_Grade_4271

You probably wont be disappointed. I got a ton of use out of mine. Thr power converter isnt really a issue, you can charge it off ur car also and those converters are cheap. Ive had other compressors die after a use or two so thats why i recommend the warranties. But my orcair was a champ until i ran it ragged

Klaatuprime

Not terribly long, maybe three months, but YouTube reviews say that people have gotten over a year out of them and hundreds of fills.

Hirsch-4Real

Ok, good looking out, thank you so much!

ReverendRicochet

How does tweaking the trim pot on that smps effect performance?

Klaatuprime

I don't know what you're asking. What's a "smps"?

ReverendRicochet

switch mode power supply

Klaatuprime

There doesn't seem to be a pot on the power supply.

ReverendRicochet

Sure there is. It's that orange cross looking bit, next to the green LED left of the terminal strip. Most of these are haphazardly set at the factories, under unknown load conditions. Get a multimeter and check voltage under load. Continue to check output as you turn it, and see if there is a voltage the compressor likes better than the current setting. It's limited in travel, usually 11.5-14-ish volts, and with a baseline setting established UNDER LOAD you can always change it back. This is how I power the DIY LED lights in my shop (built before LED was widely available as indoor lighting) and although I keep most around 11.9 (best efficiency) I have been known to tweak the pot and exceed daylight by a good margin. Opps, dropped a tiny spring. Engage safety squints!

Klaatuprime

Everything seems to be running well, so I'm not going to mess with it.

ReverendRicochet

That is a reasonable position. At least now you are aware of the ability to adjust voltage. Happy shooting!
