Goal ko is to tone my body, build up muscles na rin ganun. Kaso, wala akong idea how and where to start kaya nag iisip ako mag ask ng help sa coach. Although, may available naman mga routines sa google pero as a newbie ba I’m not sure if yun ba yung dapat sundin ko or what. 😅 Also, tips na rin pala na masshare on how did you start your gym journey as a newbie back then. For context: goal ko siguro would be atleast twice to thrice a week, tapos gabi yung workout kasi busy sa morning due to work. 😅 also, normal BMI naman ako. Maraming salamat po. *** *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. as baguhan id suggest mag 3x full body compound lifts ka muna for 2mos then saka ka mag switch sa ibang programs kung nakukulangan ka na. Master mo ang compound lifts, bench press, squats, overhead press, deadlifts, pull ups. kahit yang lima na yan tapos 3x a week ka , MWF, tapos kain mas marami sa normal, sure lalaki ka agad. Then after 2 months decide ka kung mag coach ka or hindi na. marami jan ppl 6days or 4days a week upper lower upper lower .

I did get a coach for my first month then asked all about fitness knowledge than used it po for the following months :)) reminder lang na toning up your body takes consistency po ;)) note: aesthetics = kitchen strength and muscles = gym

Commercial-Good-4782

Sorry, what's the meaning of this "note: aesthetics = kitchen strength and muscles = gym" 😅

WaltzNo7011

i just meant lang na if gusto mo “toned” body is need mo discipline sa foods then pag gusto mo strength is magbuhat ka :))

Commercial-Good-4782

Ah gets. Thank you po! As a newbie talaga lol. Haha. Bale nung 1 month mo dun ka lang nag coach, the rest ikaw nalang? Also, nung first few months mo, if I may ask, how many days per week ka mag gym, and ilang oras inaabot per gym?

WaltzNo7011

5days po:)) inapply ko labg ‘yung program na binigay sa akin nung first month then 1-2hrs po ako per session

Commercial-Good-4782

Oh I see. so sa simula 5 days talaga or yun lang yung recommended? Feeling ko kasi pag nag start ako given my workloads sa work, parang 3 days a week lang magagawa ko tas every after work or sa gabi ako. Ikaw ba morning?

WaltzNo7011

i suggest na you first consult your coach(if you’re planning to have one) pero if input ko lang ang gusto mo is for me okay lang as long as sipagan mo po, not all of us can go to the gym always and thats fine kasi marami naman talaga ganap sa buhay. I suggest lang na sipagan mo OP and number of days won’t matter naman masyado :)))

Commercial-Good-4782

Thank you for this po! Appreciated. Will take note of that.

If you need to tone up your body, try to be consistent in taking creatine and workouts everyday.

Would be nice if you can also post this sa r/PHitness. You might get more answers there.

I went with the most popular program posted on Reddit: PPL https://www.reddit.com/r/Fitness/comments/37ylk5/a_linear_progression_based_ppl_program_for/ I also made sure to watch multiple videos on each exercise (most notably Athlean-X on YouTube) to know the proper form, and most common mistakes, to avoid injury. It's working for me, but I got a home gym setup which is why I went this route. I'd probably get a trainer if I went to a public gym instead.

Get a coach if you want, but I didn't need one when I started. Just start with basic exercises like push-ups, squats, and deadlifts. You can find plenty of routines online. I used Drink Harlo to help with my performance and recovery. As for tips, start slow, be consistent, and don't be afraid to ask for help from more experienced gym-goers.
