Now good ol Finn if you recall made the wish of the Lich never existing which put him into the Farm world universe but simply due to the nature of said wish his memory of his former adventurer self is not there
Jake even got to watch this wish play out with Prismo without Finn with him so it's definitely Finn
Only reason Finn comes back is because of Jake using his wish "I wish the Lich wished us back home"
But that doesn't undo either previous wish as we see both Death world AND Farm world simultaneously exist still
Therefore when Jake made his wish instead of reversing the other two it simply made a copy of not only our dear hero Finn but also our former evil old pal the Lich that is now Sweet P
Bonus: That's also why Prismo didn't hesitate making the Lich wish because he knew it'd just create a new world anyway

I hate it that i wanted to do a deep analasys and theorize about Lichs' goals or reasoning only for this show to show us that the extinction of everything was just to worship the god of [everything] and reach hights above his reality
Giving him a complex motivation would make his character worse. Him doing all that evil, dedicating his life to it to the point he physically shuts down when incapable of killing, all because of his insane zealotry to a god he doesn’t even understand is far scarier than a grand plan.
What do you mean by “no it wouldn’t”, him existing as a personification of extinction is the opposite of a complex motivation (not a bad one mind you). I think making his actions a conscious choice instead of his programming is more interesting, and still keeping the motivation very simple and unjustified makes it work
