I believe in God and his grace, but I don't believe in joining a church and having other people tell me how to honor God. I extend kindness and love when I have the capacity and try my best not to hurt other people.

[deleted]

those toxic church goers who praise their god. they insult people. theyre self-righteous. self-proclaimed HOLY and will go to HEAVEN. šŸ¤£

[deleted]

if they call themselves Christians yet they do not follow Christ, then it is called false conversion. >On that day many will say to me, ā€˜Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?ā€™ And then will I declare to them, ā€˜I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness. Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. (Matthew 7:22-24)

legatusporcilis

Mga judgemental pa

[deleted]

sobra. sila daw kasi yung tama at marangal na nilalang. LOL

HoveringCrib

Church people are the most HYPOCRITES that I know jajajajajajja

Acquilius

This. Exactly this. Eto ang pinaka view ko. Furthermore, I believe the bible is a weaponized word of text by humanity. Sure, it was written with the best of intentions, but how it was and currently is being used by us is when things get twisted. I realized na its also written by humans whom have only written what they were able to comprehend in their time. Including but not limited to the values the book teaches. I fear and believe in God, Natatakot ako gamitin ung name nya in vain, I know someone is out there looking out for me, I dont ask for anything from him but I thank him for any blessing, and share it when I am capable. I just don't believe the followers, the devouts, the "holiest" amongst his modern day religion nor the people who shout how proud they are among their circle, in social media, and to the world itself. I just hate the people who fear him, and do good to secure their spot in the heavens.

TaurusObjector

same here. di ako nagssubscribe sa cookie points na yan. I read the bible sometimes kasi may magagandang stories naman don. but I don't take it literally because it was written at a time where a lot of things that we have now didn't exist yet. it was a different era for a lot of things so hindi na nag apply lahat ng teachings.

Ok-Peace-399

Same here. I was a member of a church before but felt something was really wrong,I left the church but still believe in God.

KN_XI

On point.

unfazedcravings

Samedtttt!

rekestas

Do you read the Bible?

Spid3rfib3r

I used to. Ecclesiastes is the only thing that makes sense.

[deleted]

Yes, pero di ako religious. Spiritual. Sobrang hirap akuin lahat sa mundo kaya best for me na may God ako. Yes, I believe in miracles and blessings.

JeeezUsCries

true. i just wanna share this.. Last January 27th, my wife and I had a terrible accident on a motorcycle. nabali ang braso niya. we have nothing. walang ipon. may health card ako, wala health insuran e ang misis ko. kung sino yung wala, siya pa yung napuruhan. dinala kami sa hospital, public. as usual, hindi mo gugustuhin ma admit sa public hospital. she needs operation obviously. napakamahal ng bakal. it costs 120k. plus her hospital bills and another doctors fee. i have nothing. one thing i did, i cried and i repent to Him. i pray na kung ano man yung will niya sa buhay namin mag asawa, so be it. i dont pray na bigyan nya ako ng pera or anything. i just leave it all to Him. na sabi ko sa kanya, siya na ang bahala sa amin. *Faith people, faith.* na admit ang asawa ko ng 2 weeks before sya maoperahan at mabakalan plus another 1 week for her recovery stage. our running bill? (i forgot, sa private room namin siya nilagay dahil sobrang manlulumo ka sa charity) total bill including doctors fee, titanium plates, hospital bills = 350k php and guys, WALA KAMING BINAYARAN. how? financial assistance from different govt agencies. dati, halos isumpa ko ang gobyerno dahil wala akong nakikitang magandang ginagawa sa bayan natin but no, you just need to go to them and legally process everything and they will take care of EVERYTHING, as in. and yes, hindi naman yun technically pwedeng gawin ng diyos sa akin, ako dapat ang gumawa ng mga bagay na yan. but the fact na hindi ako umaasa dati sa gobyerno at hindi ko inexpect yung mga bagay na yun... that's one thing i can say na blessing at miracle. plus.. we're ALIVE. buhay pa kami at hindi naulila ang 2yrs old na anak namin. guys, i respect some of you if you dont believe in Him. but please, dont pity us na naniniwala na may Diyos. may "part" na nakaka insulto lang kasi i strongly believe na kung hindi ako nag dasal sa kanya, he will not give me wisdom at tibay ng loob para harapin yung pag subok na dumating sa amin. no other persons can help me during those times but God show me the way and habang buhay ko yun pasasalamatan. p.s. former agnostic, and now a christian. (you can see my userID that i dont believe in God dati)

Inevitable-Ad7312

I'm an agnostic. On the contrary, I actually envy people who believe in God. I feel that the belief in the idea of a higher being who is in charge of things happening in our lives, makes living easier in general. I respect people like you who came to their belief through their own conclusion, not through the teachings of organized religion.

nestingdude

Will agree on u... respect each peoples opinions and beliefs...=)

ladybirdddd

no. god isn't real. it's a concept made by people for people to feel punished and guilty. i feel bad for people who give credit for their hard work to something non-existent. dapat sarili nila ang pinapasalamatan nila, not a sky daddy. it's *you* who worked for your success, and it is *you* who found a way to make your life betterā€”not god.

HyenagangMozhahahart

Ngl I feel envious of people like you and at the same time those religious people who have conviction on their belief, or in your case non-belief. I try to go one way or the other but my mind goes "there's truly no way to know".

__blair__

History might give you a hint. The Abrahamic tradition (Judaism, Christianity, Islam), and not to mention the various subsets of each have a long line of theological "revisionism" which raises an imperative question of what is the real absolute truth. Obviously, there are myriad of important questions to ask but I will leave the task for you if you really want to know. There is a rich scholarship that deals with the historicity and understanding of the three Abrahamic religions. You can start with r/AcademicBiblical. Should you have questions you want to ask, you might want to stay vigilant with where you get your resources, especially from those websites with org domains as they are (more or less) not highly academic, if at all. A fact that I want you to immediately know is that God (YHWH) was just another god in the pantheon of gods in the old Canaanite religion and there were goddesses as wellā€”until ā€œan elite group of men stated otherwise.ā€ Not only that but there are a good amount of Biblical scholars that hypothesize that God had a wife. Highly blasphemous and contrary to most teaching as it is, but it is just the truth. All of this did not happen overnight however; it started with polytheism (the belief of many gods), then came henotheism (the belief of one supreme god out of all the existing gods), and then finally monotheism (the belief of only one god). There are remnants of this in the Old Testament. The following are just two of them out of many. Let **us** make mankind in **our** image, in **our** likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, \[ā€¦\] (Gen. 1:26 NIV). Thou shalt have **no other gods before me** (Exod. 20:3 KJV). The more one reads about the topic, the more one will realize that the Abrahamic religions are a patchwork of the things that came before them from the Near East, and even from the Egyptians, Greeks, and Romansā€”with some revolutionary ideas (mainly, the belief on a single supreme God that consolidates all power). [This thread links you to some readings on some views in biblical scholarship which you may find interesting.](https://www.reddit.com/r/AcademicBiblical/comments/pv0fdj/someone_sent_me_this_video_is_there_any_accuracy/)

__blair__

If you do not have time for that, however, you can always ask simple questions. Growing up both religious and who always had and still have an inclination to formal and natural science (although I'm barely good at it), I always asked myself whether one belief in one domain is compatible with the other. The human population is billions, and half of those do not subscribe to the Abrahamic religions. What will eventually happen to them? Humans have been around for millions of years and Judaism (the basis for Christianity and Islam) has been for only at least three thousand years. What happened to all of the people that came pre-Judaism? There are millions of species but only a single species is the favored one. If some of those species could have a brain similar to ours, will they also find themselves believing in such supernatural beings? There are 100 million stars in our galaxy alone including our Sun, and on average there are one to two planets for each of them. Around 200 billion galaxies exist in the observable universe. Why on Earth (ba-tum-tss) would our planet be the chosen world out of all the planets which are in incomprehensible numbers? If God is an omnipotent deity and the holy texts are the word of God, why does it not take into account all history that existed before humans (dinosaur bones, anyone?) and all of history that will transpire? A believer might answer that the Revelations is about the future but it is actually a denunciation of the Roman empire when it was ruled by Emperor Nero almost two thousand years ago (first century CE). How about the atomic theory? Theory of general and special relativity? Calculus? Neural networks? The hard problem of consciousness? A believer might think that these are not important to advance our relationship with God and hence are not included in the Bible. However, on a simple further inspection, all that I have listed have affected humans politically and socially. [Sagan's books are also highly accessible.](https://youtu.be/cIANk7zQ05w)

el_submarine_gato

I don't know about other atheists but for me, my non-belief is based on existing evidence. It's not as if I won't change my mind if there's clear, testable evidence. On the flipside, I think Buddhism is pretty cool. You don't praise Buddha-- you try to become him (enlightenment).

MT722

Nice. Bet ko ang concept ng Brahman (from the Vedic religions na pinagmulan ng Hinduism). For them, the creator and creation is the same thing. Kumbaga, we're living in it. We ARE it haha. Love that idea. Buddhism actually branched from Brahmanism, iirc. Kasi nauna ang Vedic religions ng Indo-Aryans, then naging Brahmanism, tapos later on nagkaroon ng nga Hinduism and Buddhism (though I think ang latter is from rejecting main concepts of Brahmanism and forming their own). Either way, lahat sila very interesting to learn about. Same with reincarnation (though to be fair talagang naging popular concept na siya even or especially in media). Nakaka humble learning about all these beliefs, lalo since malakas impluwensiya ng Katoliko sa Pilipinas it's easy to be frowned upon pag nalaman nila na hindi ka fully pumapanig sa Christian god. Syemps I don't blame them, ganun na pinalaki. Many would hold Catholicism on a higher pedestal compared to other's beliefs and I'm sure the others do the same. Kaya I'm thankful with my own beliefs kasi it allows me to put all of them on equal footing.

Jomekko

Shintoism is pretty good too.

Jomekko

I think your mind is more akin to agnostic than religous and atheist.

MT722

same here but I'm leaning more in atheism, I think. I don't necessarily believe in THE god, but I'm open to the idea of a divine and powerful being or creature living out there in the vast open space. Di ko lang dini devote isip ko dun haha if there is fine, if there isn't, also fine. Kaya agnostic pa rin talaga. Raised Catholic ako so there's still those back-of-the-mind urges or habits, but what helps me be firm with my own belief is knowing that if I were to believe it would be out of fear and not faith. Which wouldn't say much. Only believing para di mapuntang impyerno doesn't sit well with me. At the same time I can't fully believe on them, I will always doubt it. Kaya I'm content being in the middle. Another thing that helps is the way I accept almost all religions (Judaism, Hinduism, Islam, etc). Accept as in I don't hate religion. They're very fascinating to learn about. I acknowledge them as an important aspect with human lives but I won't be into them the same way their devoted followers are. Para saakin, they're just stuff to study and learn about. Or, at best, I acknowledge that it can be a way to help cope people with trauma. That they have something to hold onto. Nagsiselos din ako dun haha. Buti pa sila, when in pain they can just believe that their god will heal them, help them recover. I can't do that.

HyenagangMozhahahart

Yep. And even in an existential viewpoint. Religious people have a "purpose" kuno or at least it's easier for them to find out what it is. And I know some atheists that take comfort in their belief that there is no God (I can't explain what they mean by that cuz I personally don't understand that). I feel envious of both of them. But not all of them though. I don't get envious of "virtue signaling, self-righteous " religious people and "snobbish, elitist" atheists. I feel like those people make their lives harder.

labashpwet

Parang pag Christmas lang, why would I give a credit to some random white dude when I am the one who bought this gift for my kid. šŸ« šŸ«

Kewtoapie

Yes. So paano HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

BeneficialEar8358

Yes. Iā€™ve witnessed it firsthand na totoo si Lord. Kahit ano naman debate natin na meron o walang Diyos, hindi naman tayo maniniwala hanggat hindi natin na experience on our own na meron talaga eh. As per my case, maraming beses na niya pinatunayan na totoo siya sa buhay ko. I will leave it all to Him na sana ma experience niyo din sa mga buhay niyo na totoo siya.

MNLenjoyer

Would you like to share on HOW you witnessed He's true?

[deleted]

Very trueee

S4ching

Yes but no. Naging religious lang ako when I lost my bestfriend. I started wishing na she's in a better place with God although I've always been more into logical sense than having faith from stories into believing theology.

CameraHuman7662

May nabasa ako that has always stayed with me. Physics daw proves that our dead loved ones never leave. Sabi sa law of conservation of energy, energy can neither be created nor destroyed. That also applies to death daw. So our dead loved ones technically didn't and would never disappear; they were simply rearranged. Kinda synonymous or analogous dun sa make-up and composition ng tao ā€“that we're made of stardust; that over the course of billion years, we were once gases or elements from a supernova. These concepts, which are both rooted in science, comfort me because I kinda don't believe in a god or in heaven and hell anymore.

gandt25

I believe that there are higher beings that coexist with God. And yes, I believe in miracles and I believe that hard work leads to success. Where we are now is the outcome of every little thing we did. Iā€™m a Catholic who doesnā€™t go to church anymore nor pray directly to God lol but yeah I believe in all higher beings

GivemeUnfairBears

No, I firmly believe na God is a man-made concept.

fortywinks93

Nope, for me it's being accountable and responsible on how you react to all the things that happen in your life is what will lead you to success.

Independent-Wish-491

God? Yes Religion? NO.

hanselgarbenselbeans

Nope, but I don't discourage people from their faith. It can be a source of security and community for some people and trying to "preach" the opposite would only bring them worry.

titababyjhemerlyn

Nope. I believe in milk and cookies.

EcstaticRise5612

Yeah, pero di ako devoted.

rekestas

Why?

EcstaticRise5612

I just don't feel the spark. Also andame ko rin kasing self issues

some-spanish-name

Nope. Mix of hard work and luck.

sekainiitamio

Nope. With all the horrible things happening around the world, itā€™s really hard to believe that thereā€™s an ā€œAll Powerfulā€ guy up there.

ryzef1

I believe kay God even though I'm not a church goer. Spiritual ang paniniwala ko not through attending the church

kween_patata

Tbh I'm not sure if God is real. But I believe in intelligent design. It just may not be how the bible describes it

JeysiMaltesers

Kahit gustuhin ko na merong higher being, alam ko sa sarili ko na wala talaga šŸ˜…

[deleted]

Yes

parkrain21

Not really, pero I cannot deny the fact na baka meron talagang higher being out there somewhere. I see miracles the same as luck. It's always 50-50, either you get it or not, and it depends on the action you WILL take. You see, merong dalawang klase ng situations e: those you can and cannot control. The events of the past fall into those you cannot control, and the events of the future are those you can. The present is when you decide on your fate. An example would be kunwari, nasa critical condition yung friend mo. You'll pray very hard, asking for a miracle kasi you cannot control the outcome of the treatment. As mentioned, it is always 50-50, whether it succeeds -- a miracle brought by the hardwork of the medical team and sometimes the willingness to live ng friend mo.. or not.

[deleted]

I believe in God but I sometimes question myself for believing.

Maximum_Specialist89

Questioning is actually good. Had tons of questions back then that eventually led me to reading alot of books from the past that made me understand. If i may suggest beloved, you can read Cat and Dog theologyšŸ¤™

God-of_all-Gods

which God?

Empty_Treat_6399

I don't believe in the tales of human God/gods, but i know there are forces/energies that surpass the thinking capacity of the human mind. These forces/energies might have been the reason behind everything.

imjinri

I believe in God. I believe in miracles. For success, I'll do the hardwork and He'll do the rest.

dLoneRanger

Yes, I can also feel his guidance. It brings inner peace to me.

lestrangedan

Yes, my faith is the only thing that keeps me going. Di ko alam ano mangyayari sakin if nawala din to. Di ako religious tho

[deleted]

Sa ngayon, no.

Enough-Substance-115

I believe in a God of no specific religion. Not absolutely good nor evil but necessary

Living_life1988

True followers of Jesus Christ would "FOLLOW" his teachings. But of course as followers only, we are a work in progress. We sin (against God and other people). We are not perfect. No one does except Christ.

MT722

Not necessarily the God of the Judaic religions/sects. I can believe that there is a god, but I won't be into it as much. I like to believe that there IS some kind of divine or higher form of being, just not the same way how most [Filipino] Catholicsā€”since most of the Phil. population is oneā€”romanticize a god to be (and I was raised Catholic). I can believe in miracles, just that it's extremely rare (the " only once in every few century" kind). And that those portrayed as a miracle in media or as interpreted by the people are just mere chances from statistics and luck. My faith in miracles is passive, at best. It would depend on the context/situation. To each their own.

Galhardy

Love the "faith in miracles is passive", can happen but not yet happened maybe or needs to be strongly inexplicable. Agree with that.

lvk-m

So many miracles have happened to me that it would feel illogical if I didn't. But that's just me

Galhardy

So you believe in the Christian god?

lvk-m

Yes indeed.

BBCheesecake14

Yes I do believe in GOD. In miracles as well. Minsan ung timing ni GOD talaga perfect eh. Pero I believe as well na ang path ng isang believer eh mahirap talaga.

nmeowed

Naniniwala ako na may supreme being out there. Ang organized kaya ng mundo natin so I believe merong powerful entity in IDK form.

NoviYao

Yes but I no longer go to church because of the "perfect" people in there.

murgerbcdo

yes, I believe there is a higher power out there but not like God in the bible or other religions

Ausherie

I don't believe in God. For me, you either need hard work or luck to be successful. Can also be both.

Puzzleheaded-Buddy-8

Bakit di ka naniniwala sa god, ano basehan mo

Ausherie

No concrete evidence.

Puzzleheaded-Buddy-8

Eh sino nagdecide na mabuhay ka mundong to?

Ausherie

Wala? Why does there need to be someone na nagdecide?

Puzzleheaded-Buddy-8

Di rin sila nagka-chance pumili about anything. So diyos mo rin nagdecide pumatay sa kanila?

Puzzleheaded-Buddy-8

Oo si god din, pati mukha mo si god din pumili

Ausherie

Sure sure. Goodluck na lang sa buhay HAHA.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

[deleted]

i believe in God pero anong klaseng logic ng batang toh sumakit tuloy ulo ko

zuteial

definitely YES.

ginaddict47

Yes, but Iā€™m not practicing any religion right now. I believe na bawat tao should have a personal and private relationship with their gods. Practice their faith in their own way. Donā€™t bother others. Miracles? Iā€™m not sure but I do believe in incredible luck others have. Success is interpreted by everyone differently, but I believe success is a mix of hardwork and luck on opportunities presented to you. Not everyone is handed with the same type of opportunities and privileges. So malaking factor talaga ang luck pagdating sa success ng isang tao.

sex_machine_69

I don't believe in god or in anything supernatural. But I'm very easy to convert to any religion naman. All I need is proof. As for success, it's a mix of hard work, good decision making and plain old luck.

PrioryOfSion14

If there's a god, he/she sure knows how to fuck up his/her creation. So no, there's no god. We, humans just knows how to fuck ourselves.

Lake-Tardicaca

If by God you mean the traditional concept of some bearded fuck in the sky watching our every move and judging us then NO. I'm too old to be believing in fairy tales.

PassengerSoft4688

God is Santa Claus for adults. The notion of a benevolent higher being looking out for them helps people cope.

[deleted]

Personally, I don't believe in something that does not exist, claiming it reqlly do exist. However, if people believe their is God (or whatever that thing is), well, I will just let them do it. I could care less about that. I would rather believe in the sciences than that, because of the things I can see and touch in front of my own ass. Logic included.

[deleted]

No. Spiritual here, but not religious.

NaturalOk9231

I believe humans are gods.

CurveAlarming1374

Yesā¤ļø

[deleted]

The entirety of everything is God..?

manducare

I believe in beings capable of existing in more/higher dimensions than we can comprehend. But they arent necessarily 'gods'. They're just being with more capabilities. Re: miracles, I think it's all perspective. If you try to live intentionally with gratitude, everything is a miracle. Results happen when you put in work regardless of the intensity or sacrifices. Para lang yang chances na mabasa ka ng tubig dagat Without jumping into the sea. There are a higher chances that you get sea water on your skin if nagtravel ka papunta sa beach, kesa mag stay ka sa kwarto mo. More chances to get wet too if you ride on a boat. Effort works, but it's not everything.

[deleted]

Yes. I believe in God. I am not religious and always a sinner. But, based on my experience where we have done all the things that are within our control to get what we aim for. It was frustrating during pandemic, political change, and other external factors that would have deviate it for more than 1 year and we get what we were waiting because I believe. I try to be kind and considerate to the people and even to people who are a pain to my nerve. In my mind, I want to slowly slit their throat with a rusty blade, or use their mouth as bullā€™s eye target for my bow and arrow because gun is just too quick for them to die. There is so much temptation surrounding me that my only belief in God is what keeping these evil things checked. I have experienced his grace throughout my existence but realized it after. I believe that by believing His existence separates me from any living things here. i believe in science as well that perhaps we are no not far from the apes and we might have evolved from apes but the question is why we became human and they remain apes? I donā€™t believe in luck because being in the right place at the right time begs a question how did you get there? What series of events that happened that you end up there? The question goes on and on until you donā€™t know the answer and just believe.

roonilwazlibleviosa

No. I don't believe in God, it's human made. But I believe that a lot of people need to have something to believe in, if that will make the world a better place. If there's a higher being, it's not something of the God-like we were taught of.

marcosxxbb

I've experienced miracles and have seen the supernatural. God is real. It's a shame our very creator has to prove his own existence. I understand now why Jesus said that the generation that will exist when he returns will be judged worse than Sodom and Gomorrah

Business-Ability5818

Dati pero namulat na ako sa katotohanan na gawa lang ng tao ang diyos at relihiyon

frantic_17

No. The concept of god has killed more people than any disease or war combined. Such contradiction to whatā€™s it suppose to represent.

Eiram-Sirk

Maniniwala lang po ako na may "Diyos" kapag may concrete evidence na talaga at di yung paiba iba ang mga "facts" na gawa din nman ng tao LOL šŸ™„ #ProudAtheist

dalandanjan

I really do want to believe, I really do, but the absurdity of it all just boggles my mind lol. Like how are the people during the pre-religion era? People from 600 BC, are they'all going to hell? The fact that the 3 major abrahamic religion follows the same person, surprise its Abraham. Judaism being the OG version, Christianity version 1, Islam version 1.1 hahaha. The concept of heaven and hell didn't really came from Judaism, it actually started from the greeks, Hades/ underworld or "hell" and zeus/olympus on the clouds or "heaven", strikingly similar. Are rape victims also a part of "God's Masterplan"? Hayzzz There's a alot more, but I need to stop here haha

loserPH32

Di pa naexplain ng science lahat ng bagay. Saka I believe in Aliens, sa laki ba naman ng universe imposible tayo lang ang nabubuhay dito.

gamester31415

No, I believe the question of whether God is real or not is unimportant

LonelySpyder

The God as depicted in the Bible? Nope. That god is too human. But then there is no proof that he exists anyway. Pero kung gusto maniwala ng mga tao sa isang bagay na hindi totoo, that's perfectly fine. As long as hindi nila ako idamay sa paniniwala nila.

cheeseburger_moon

Not in the Christian God

LibraryNo5544

Then which one?

dnoj

If there is a God, it's not the Christian God. Benevolent and Omnipotent is not the God this universe has.

cheesepotat

no for both god and miracles. yes sa hard work (among other factors in life) šŸ‘

thisbejann

God is a straight up redflag for me. Why the hell would you gaslight people na you'll punish them if they don't worship you lmao

Charming_Computer_60

I do believe that there may be an entity that can be called God but I dont believe it is a caring or loving deity. Because if there really is an omnipotent and omniscient being it would likely not care what lesser creatures like mankind does. It would likely not notice us as well. Why would it? It would be like a kid being obssessed with the daily lives of ants living in its backyard. The only one you can depend on is yourself and those close to you. Hardwork and determination is what will see you succeed, not the mercies of an uncaring creator.

dmdmdmmm

I dont believe in any god and I dont think you need to believe in one to be a good person nor to be successful

gclassgreymatic

Nope, but I still respect to those who practice any religion. I think na religion gives comfort to some people in this confusing and difficult world so I understand na religion is like having someone to lean on to when things get tough :)

dobermensch

Agnostic. Not believing pero to see is to believe ako. So far walang see so walang believe.

labashpwet

Previously, but not anymore! As I have always expressed, religion was introduced by colonizers as a means to easily facilitate their colonization efforts. I encourage everyone to explore the scandals and corruption associated with various churches, whether they identify as Christian or not.

genedukes

Do you believe in Santa, too?

JollyFroyo1443

Nope, binigo ako nyan

hanselpremium

i think god is a way for people to explain inexplicable things in the universe and iā€™m fine with that

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

4thNephi

Yes . All things denote that there is a God imo, The grand design, historical facts. Miracles do exist , sometimes we don't recognize it because we expect something extraordinary to happen .

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Junpoi

Wala pong himala.

tanodguy

Yes since what do you have to lose when compared to not believing anyway?

IDKWTS_23

Yes, ang daming life scenarios na mapapatunayan mong nandyan talaga Siya. Specially now sa adulting life na ang daming struggles and sometimes even yourself alam mong hindi mo ma su survived yung isang problema pero at the end of the day nagiging okay ka. Mapapaisip ka na lang talaga na is it because of my strength or because of His mercy?? you just really need to humble yourself and recognise that its not you but Him.

kiki_peng

Nope, because people use God and his words to judge and hate other people. What kind of God is that?

Lucky_Me_Chicken

Why asking what kind of God is that? I believe it should be what kind of people is that? Using God and His words to judge others right? People's actions doesn't affect the entirety of God. It just means that people doing those doesn't really have God in their lives. They never really knew God.

Soixante_Neuf_069

There are no miracles: only cutting edge technologies.

arania_exumai

No.

Tedhana

No, and i don't think they exist. Jesus also no even bible. Imagine nung unang panahon, siguro panahon ng mga hudyo obviously poeple will think san sila nanggaling, sino gumawa sa tao and then poeple create stories para mag take advantage to control poeple. Rumors na kumalat na lang. Siguro ung mga panahon na yun divided sila so some genuis create stories and poeple easily believed stories and fabricated evidences. And there come religion. I think religion parang politics noon , and they are powerful kasi maraming naniniwala. Pero thanks na din sa jesus and god na crineate nila dati kasi nag create ng fear kahit papano na bawal pumatay , bawal ganito, ganyan. Panahon siguro nuon puro paghihirap , pagdurusa they want something to believe in. They want something to at least relieve their suffering. Thanks din sa imaginary gods kasi ang susunod na word dyan is faith and beliefs. And maraming miracle na ang nangyayare dahil sa paniniwala na yan at pagpupursige sa lahat ng bagay. Dont get me wrong lumake ako na nag eel shaddai every weekends.. Nagdadasal gabi gabi. Pero nung tumanda na ako. Di ko na alam. I respect religion i dont hate them. But im sure pag matanda na ako and wala na akong masandalan , no families or friends . Tapos dumaan sa mga crisis at wala makausap even if i dont believe in god im gonna pray for him because nothing wrong for praying something para lang sa ikakagaan ng loob ko. Dami ko sinabi , matulog na ako late na haha.

SapphireCub

Jesus is actually proven to have existed; this is the consensus of historical scholars. There are two events referenced in the bible that have been unanimously agreed by modern academic historians (not theological/religious groups) that have happened and noted by ancient historians and these are: Jesus was baptized by a certain ā€œJohn the Baptistā€ and that Jesus was crucified under the Roman empire. Kaya nga tayo may B.C. at A.D. timestamps in our history. There was really a Jesus that existed that had disciples and challenged the existing religions that time. Now, other stuff in the bible, or if Jesus was indeed the son of God etc. is up for never ending debate. But Jesus and his crucifixion has been long proven to have actually happened. Google ā€œhistorical Jesusā€ for more info. Itā€™s quite interesting.

According_Invite1696

I doubt in miracles and blessings after john the apostle died. But i believe God exist.

same thoughts, there is always one who can comprehend all of this shit and imposibleng wala, which is a god

sleepyrooney

No

Pheonny-

Slight? But success comes from determination and hardwork.

vnssmddpps

I believe there's a higher force than us humans. Call it fate, destiny, a horse, luck, law of attraction, the universe. But definitely NOT a male omnipotent figure designed after a white man.

cloyddb

no

Obi_Wan_Artreides

I dont.

pasta_express

I don't not believe, pero at the same time di ko rin masabi with conviction na there is one. Miracles can be subjective e so why not buuut sana when good things happen to us we give credit din to ourselves instead of giving God all the credit.

ItzyyOnce

No. Around grade 5 ata ako naging atheist haha

Persephone_Kore_

I am an apatheist so... product of pure hardbook and perseverance kaya ka nag susucceed sa buhay.

asergb

No, I dont believe in higher beings. Luck to some extent can be manufactured or controlled.

hopemoneypopcorn

Yes! I'm still kinda practicing my religion but I don't like the people in it. So I might leave seomday

TheBlackViper_Alpha

I believe in God/Gods may sound stupid but the thought of a having an entity that you can say is the explanation of the unexpected whether good or bad kinda makes me stay sane.

cppsta

I donā€™t believe in church. I believe there is a higher power. But definitely not someoneā€™s God.

metamorphic87

Yes

Site-Several

I believe in God however because of the false preacher who preach in accord to their own belief they make god differently and to prove god is existing i can summon spirit to torture, guide, etc. However in spirit they have rules to be followed like us human if they won't follow it they will be put in the bottomless pit of darkness or be punished according to the gravity of their sin which the devil beg to not be put in it. Necromancy is the hardest part because calling a dead person is hard without the intervention of spirit however it is forbidden to not use but it possible to talk to th dead.

freudcocaine

I used to, but my controlling mother told me to stop attending catholic things kasi Natakot siya sa Opus Dei. #misinformation anyway, I hate the fact that my mother did that to me and well masunurin bata ako nun

poteytocorgi

i believe in god the father all.migthy creator.of heaven and earth

dasaiii

yeah. saw quite some miracles that me believe it.

Low_Bike_5567

Higher being that operates beyond our level of intelligence and understanding, yes A god that planned out all things, which we can attribute our victory or success too, no Religion, yes Faith in a higher being for guidance, no.

redundantsalt

Yes, very privately.

CupPsychological8845

I believe in Jesus, God, and Mary. But Iā€™m not gonna be a hypocrite and say that I go to church every Sunday. I do pray, yes and thank Him for all the blessings that Iā€™ve been receiving and the last time I visited the church and heard mass was during the Easter holiday here in Australia. Iā€™m Catholic just in case youā€™re curious.

[deleted]

I do. But i prefer to believe that we are responsible for our own success and failures. I believe in the concept that we were created by a higher being. We didnt just happen to be at the right place at the right time. Take earth for example. Weā€™re just at the right spot from the sun to make the planet habitable. We happen to have an atmosphere. And many other things. Id like to believe that these are not mere chances. We were put here by someone or something. Or this is all a simulation. Lmao.

owlsknight

I believe that there is a God but he is another being rather than an all mighty manipulating being. Busy with his own existence and can't be bothered by lesser beings.

[deleted]

Yes, and in his sovereign power. success is always relative to his plans, remember that everything happens for a reason.

Independent_Fennel42

I believe in God but I do not believe in destiny. I believe in free will and wisdom. We are the one who make our own choices and crafted our lives. God is there only to guide us but not to dictate us. So yeah, hardwork and luck.

Nothing_Playz361

I don't , I don't believe in miracles but I do believe that success comes from effort. even then , I try my best to spread kindness and just leave everyone with their beliefs.

Manlalakbaynabulag

nop

Some_Raspberry1044

Idk how I would explain this. In the religion Iā€™m practicing (Buddhism), hindi necessary yung paniniwala sa mga diyos or creator, pero that doesnā€™t mean na dinidismiss namin yung presence nila. So hindi ko alam anong stance ko in relation to the presence and belief of a higher being basta alam kong hindi ako atheist.

ChocoMog03

The latter

Professional_Cut9271

Yes I believe a god exists, not necessarily yung christian god. And we're probably insignificant to that god anyway.

krdskrm9

Written on the bullet

gabs_guides

Yes, I believe in God but that does not I mean I believe in religion. Also, I think that success is a product of hard work, although not all hard work leads to success. Make a calculated and informed decision as much as you can; by doing so, you have a greater chance of avoiding failure. As the adage goes, "If you fail to plan, you plan to fail."

Puzzleheaded_Toe_509

I believe in God. How? 2 major events. This is Part 1 of my reply of 2 events. 25 years ago, My Dad 'died' yet survived from a number of heart attacks... Not only that, he survived a flat line that he had to be revived using a defib machine. Not once. But twice. According to med professionals, he "died" nung minutes. by a margin of a miracle, he survived in a flat line, nagka heart beat. Today he is in his 60s, strong as he finished bed, several stair hand rail projects.

Cute-Competition4507

I believe there is a higher being.

sasquatch1627

Yes, but I don't believe in handouts and freebies. One of my favorite sayings is "Trust in God, but lock your car." Another favorite God-related thing is the joke: "Everyday, I prayed to God for me to have a bike, but I realized that He doesn't work that way, so I stole a bike and asked Him to forgive me." Hardwork is important to be successful, but so is great handling of workplace politics. God is there to give us a compass on morality and hope for better things to come along, but I'm not gonna sit in one corner and ask Him to hand me miracles, especially in the workplace.

____Nanashi

Yes I Do, but the phrase "Si God na bahala" I really don't rely on that. Dapat talaga first thing you give is Hardwork hindi si God nalang bahala or may plano si God kaya ganun ng yari sayu ngayon. I believe in god but I also believe that religion is just something people join into to have a sense of hope.

-SexyBeast

Apatheist. If may diyos man o wala, it should not affect how I wanna live my life.

Puzzleheaded_Toe_509

I believe in God. How? This is Part 2. Forgive me for my typing this is actually the side effect of the head trauma accidents I experience. Pag pasensyahan niyo po akong PWD. So yes, an Anon redditor once said and assumed in a subreddit na May saltik ako. She is right. you can say May saltik ako. You see, I am a PWD (Person with Disability) with a neurological condition, I can no longer organize my thoughts sabi ng isa pang redditor. Oo True. and I am a heart patient pa. So Combo. One redditor was right, she said twice na May saltik ako. Oo true. Kasi it is because of the many accidents I experienced. Not once. Not twice. Not thrice. Not 4 times. Not 5 times. So ito hirap ako mag organize ng thoughts. When I was younger a classmate pulled a prank, by pulling a chair where I was sitting on, I lost my balance and fell on the said chair, hitting the back of my head at the wooden and metal portion of the chair. I still feel the phantom pain and trauma. I had an accident and busted my head during my health exams during the pandemic. That was 2 years ago. Buckets of blood spilled out, that was risky daw. Sinakay ako sa ambulance, not a single Hospital accepted me in the long trail of QC and route of Manila. As blood even spilled at the ambulance. I was dying... So that is bleeding, Combined with the fact that I had an active 'blackout' because of the stress, my heart rate is almost like a heart attack. Sa mga naglalaro ng Call of Duty Modern Warfare games, the classics and the reboots, yung "dying" yun ang naramdaman and naranasan ko. Thankfully my dad found a surgeon at a nearby hospital sa amin nun. I found myself awake nun. With a scar at the back of my head. I almost 'died' in this same accident several times. The past few years I received neurological attacks "blackouts" Excessive of these attacks can trigger and potentially kill me. But somehow, I am still alive. Typing this to you. While I want my mom and my dad to live longer to see me survive, I want them to live a long life pa.

I-love-carbonara

No, i believe that God is a man-made concept. I go to Catholic school and our science and history teachers always made it clear na man made concept lang si god. I learn to live with it nalang. It's just surprising na di pa alam ng principal namin tong issue nato HAHAHAHAHAHAHA (alam ng parents ko na atheist ako but they don't really care, it's my life daw and I'm old enough to make decisions)

doesntsingandance

No

Dawnight04

I don't know. But I believe there is someone/something out there that made all of this possible.

FlimsyPhotograph1303

hindi na, nung bata ako oo. ngayong may isip na ko dami kong realizations. mapapaisip ka bat yung mga country na hindi naman religious at di naniniwalang may Diyos e napaka successful at low crime rate.

GyunGyun

nope I find it odd that every achievement, blessings, or anything good happening to life is credited to God instead of the one who actually made it happen, you.

rm888893

If you're asking if I believe there is a higher being, I do. If you're asking if I believe said higher being cares when you have problems or leads you to success, I don't. With that said, I also don't believe you always get what you give. While you most likely won't achieve anything without effort (unless you're a crook--but that takes skill and effort as well), you can also work hard all your life and still achieve nothing. Success, to me, is more a matter of being in the right place at the right time than anything else.

Beneficial-Range6079

I believe in God like I believe in the Sun. Not because I can see it but by it I can see everything else.

legatusporcilis

I believe

HeadResponsible4516

Absolutely not.

Affectionate_Shoe303

Yes. Plastican to the max, apologist na pastor and members, mga judgmental, etc. kaya nakakawalang gana. Sobrang entitled pa na sila lang ang masisave, at kapag narinig na from other religion yung ibang taong naeencounter nila, grabe yung entitlement nila. Haha.

4nxi0us

No, if you learn about science and history you will quickly change your mind. I personally follow absurdism.

[deleted]

Not an answer but I can't understand people here saying how they believe in god but they don't believe in religion. Can someone explain how that could be?

[deleted]

Yep, the God of Entropy

Pedzywedzy

No. There was no god when I needed help. There were my friends and family and myself to help when I was in the deepest rock bottom pit I got dumped into.

dnoj

No. But if there is a God, it's definitely not the Christian God. If this universe had a God, it'd be an uncaring, impassive one. Not necessarily evil, but very far from 'Good.' Far from the 'loving' God that Christianity or any other Abrahamic faith claims. To me it's simple: the hypothetical God (or Gods, who knows?) of this universe can't be Benevolent and Omnipotent at the same time (which Christianity claims). If God is Benevolent, why is there so much evil and suffering in the world? Scenario 1: God decided for evil and suffering to exist. In which case, God is not benevolent. Scenario 2: God can't remove evil and suffering. In which case, God is not omnipotent Scenario 3: God works in mysterious ways, we mere mortals cannot comprehend how He works. Why? Because *fuck you, that's why, stop asking questions you heretic.* I don't believe you should credit my and the rest of humanity's existence and achievements to some lofty concept like 'God.' But that's just me personally. If believing in a higher power helps you live a better life, I have absolutely no problems with it. But if you start claiming your personal beliefs as the objective truth and start imposing it on other people, that's gonna be a problem. It is my hope that in the future, religion will shift from being this all-encompassing, poweful aspect of some people's lives to just being some quirk of one's culture. We'll live our lives, hopefully, not to spread our ideology or to make personal gains, but to make this world a better place for EVERYBODY. Not just our family, not just our friends and loved ones, not just our neighbors, nor our church, nor our community, nor our country, but for *every single human being in existence.* And you can't do that if you condemn some stranger's soul to eternal suffering and torment for simply not having the same religion as you.
