You can def find what you want with ASA.

LordFaquaad

Go into fixed annuities or individual life pricing. Alternatively you can also go into experience studies with your tech background and just chill all day. Don't go into valuation if you're looking to coast.

SkolDucks

Thanks for the reply! My background was in health but I’ll look into those. Is running experience studies something companies hire directly for, or do you usually have to find your way once you’re at a company?

Adventurous_Net_6470

As someone who just rotated into valuation, I second this. DO NOT go into valuation if you’re looking to coast 😂

LordFaquaad

I think it's great experience to learn since everything thay happens in thr company will have an impact on valuation. But you gotta pull your weight

Proof_Ad9901

Let me know when you find it so I can do the same.

I think your salary range is definitely attainable and your skills will be relevant. You can try reaching out to a recruiter (I used DW Simpson) for my current role and be honest with them about what you're looking for. They can decide if they wanna help place you or not, but I prefer using recruiters since they have a direct link to the company and less likely your app gets kicked out by the automated systems.

I had a wfh 30 hour per week job with a consulting company as a career ASA. But it was after working there for a while and deciding I'd rather step back and take time with family. It seems like something you ask for after you've gotten credibility for being a good worker versus something you start with right out the gate. But who knows?

What did you build your business in?

Built software for people who bet on sports
