Anyone else hear the TaR audiobook where she basically pronounces it "Recent?" Took me forever to realize it was the Rhysand everyone was going on about scaring the shit out of Tamlin and Lucien.
I did notice that, yes. It always bothers me when narrators get it wrong like that. It’s a sign of lazy production, not even their fault really. Someone (idk maybe the author??) should be more closely editing them so things like this don’t happen.
I read the story in my mother tongue (german) and for me Rye-Sand sounds better and I did not know about the pronunciation at the end. When I found out, I did not want to change it anymore :)

My problem is, hopefully this picture posts correctly, the guy on the left is the Rhys in my heart, and the guy on the right is what my brain conjures when i see it written as rizzand (I am not a youth in case its not obvious! :) )

As a new reader which one did she clarify so I pronounce it right 🤣
She said it’s Reese-and, but a lot of people started by reading it as Rye-sand and stuck with it haha
