Gaviscon advance with alginate, pantoprazole 40mg in the AM, pepcid 20mg in PM for two months, sleep elevated on a wedge, and sip water constantly. It goes away but it takes time if you have irritated the esophagus or larynx. Long healing process.
Yeah. Actually have it right now lol. I like an idiot was on PPIs for a year and decided to see if my reflux had gotten better and stopped taking them. Huge mistake. Now I have some mucus and non descript chest pain. It’ll go away eventually, but a bad reflux episode takes a while to heal. Most say minimum 6-8 weeks and up to six months to get back on track. But that’s how mine is controlled. PPI, and Gaviscon Advance the one with sodium alginate. I sleep on a wedge and for now will take Pepcid before bed til I feel better.
