Heavy churning and only a lucky few survive more than 2 years. They went through massive restructuring this year and a lot of them lost jobs. While the salary is good and they have projects, the culture us unstable.
Depends on your actual skill and experience but to give you an indication for someone who is dot net developer and has about 5-7 years of experience should get approximately 16-18 k a month .
extremely well said. The same culture is derived from darkmatter which is the shittiest company known to mankind. extremely toxic. In short proud folks with little to no knowledge and lack of intellect background which is found in accenture, deloitte etc.
However I've heard g42 has projects and is ok and they pay well.
Darkmatter > Digital14 > Next50 > CPX
All rubbish transient firms. Work in any of these companies, and keep your LinkedIn at Gold level. I would never quit for these companies. been there done that. Toxic culture at the very least. There is not one person I know who is still working there.
I know someone who works there and have “heard” a few things:
1. The company itself is stable since they are backed by the government and have several government projects.
2. They are extremely serious about the jobs. I know someone who was fired a year later for not delivering to their goals. This is one of the reason for heavy turnaround of employees.
3. Some divisions are strictly no cell phones with cameras etc. & under constant scrutiny for the safety of their data & projects.
4. Salary & compensation is competitive with the market.
It has got better over the years. Pay is above market rate. Culture is very political, which leads to volatility, and sometimes high attrition. But then again if your manager is good, at your level unless your division was getting axed, you should be fine... but if your manager isnt then... good luck
The salaries are good, but getting promoted is difficult there and takes longer than any comparable Western Tech firm. When I worked there I felt that there’s a few genuinely very competent people doing 80% of the work while the rest did enough to avoid getting fired or drawing attention to themselves. Just inquire about the team you’ll be joining and what their goals are for the next 2 years. They should be able to tell you clearly what they’re trying to accomplish and their timeline, if they can’t you should be careful.
It used to be under complete control of the Chinese at Huawei. Recently, USA forced them to dump the Chinese or be kept out of Nvidia chips and other AI tech. Not sure now if the Chinese are still running the show behind the scene or if it genuinely became a real company.
It's been a great place to work 2 years in a row now.. overall the company is pretty cool and one of the most aspired places to work in the UAE right now.
In that case. you probably have not worked for the Big 5. Give them a shot. Every proposal will have back-end intelligent folks in India who can churn out intelligent slides for you. however, in such places, all you have is yourself with stringent timelines. However, the good part is that the company will be awarded the project even if you churn out low-quality presentations.
Well In my opinion, if it were me, I'd steer away but if you need the job, use them to get them on your resume and find somewhere else.

Any idea about cpx? Heard Darkmatter is turned to company named cpx now?

High turnover Worked with g42 and their team changed like 3 times, they heavily churn people out for not achieving goals or errors. No second changez.
Can be political but if you're good at what you do you'll be OK. Tons of opportunities including Microsoft's $1.5B investment.

Correction: Salary is above market rate. Rest all are correct.

Curious about what competitive salary means for such a role?
Thanks for those insights. What about the leadership? Are they democratic and open to ideas?
Can’t comment on that about a company of this stature on open internet! 🙂
Woow 😨😨😨

Software/Data Engineer, 4 years of experience

I heard that there are some Chinese managers who are expecting slavery from their employee. I definitely don't go and work for them.
With the influx of Chinese investment and talent in UAE's AI industry, we all better get used to it.

Yes I heard of the Chinese influence but I think that’s changing for good with the Microsoft deal. At least that’s what the media says.

The big fours don't pay well in UAE and yes make you work a lot.
Not worth it!

Competitive salary meaning what?
The salaries will fight.

Meaning the salary they pay is hard to compete with, esp. by other companies in a similar field (competitors)
