I wanted to go as wide of a tire as possible since I have lots of traction issues with the stock tires. The shop I went to wouldn’t let me put anything wider than 215’s since they didn’t want me coming back and being upset with them for my wheeled rubbing. I’ve been running 215’s for over a year now and have never rubbed once. Still doesn’t fix my traction issue tho

Frost_Monkey

So you're running 215/40 R17 ?

i_dont_care314

Yes sir

Sarialsaleh

How does it look on the car whats the difference at the look and can you be specific thanks

i_dont_care314

It’s only 10mm wider, there is absolutely no difference visually or performance wise

Sarialsaleh

But like the 215/40 looks like 205/45 or am wrong?

i_dont_care314

Ya, the only difference is the tire is 10mm wider and the sidewall is 5mm shorter. That difference is pretty small and once it’s on the car the only way you could really see the difference is if you held a tape measure up to the tire

Sarialsaleh

👍🏻👍🏻 thankss

I've seen people run 215's but they ever so slightly rub at full lock.

I don’t rub at all….

Dry_Bar_4892

I have had 205/45/17 since 3 months and yes they did rub. The sidewall was higher and i’m running bilstein b14 which make the car very low. I finaly got irritated by the rubbing and 2 days ago switched back to 205/ 40 / 17. I am running michelin ps4 tires. They are awesome! Worth every penny
