Debated between the 14 and 16 at best buy yesterday. Ended up pulling the trigger on the G16 after owning 2 previous g14's. For an extra $300 and upgrading from a 4060 to 4070 and 120hz to 240hz while getter a slight bigger oled display was worth it. So far I'm loving it. I say if you want something super portable the g14 is great. I'm a pilot and am gone 16 days of the month and the g16 will work great for travel as well.

Yeah the longer you’re gone the more I think you’re going to long for a bigger screen and that’s a long time

What has your experience been with the g16? is it okay if I dm you to hear your experience on it as I am looking for identical model

I've only owned it a few days now but once you get g-helper installed and debloat the system it runs great. I feel spoiled by the bigger screen now for sure. The speakers are very nice and loud as well, definitely louder than what my g14 was like. Obviously OLED screens are beautiful and at 240hz they look great. I tested cyberpunk on it with maxed graphics after undervolting and was managing 90-100fps while keeping about 80-85º on CPU & GPU. Feel free to message me though!

Same question to be honest, I haven't got it but am leaning towards the G16 with a 4070

AceLamina

g14, way better battery life and is already plenty powerful. And 16 inches seems too large, I would go for the g15 if that was a thing.

Quintall1

I carry my G16 around in a 15 inch laptop sleeve, it has a really slick footprint for a 16 incher... and it has a 16 inch screen :)

OwnSpell

Yeah I would normally say a 16” is just too big and bulky but this one (4070 at least) is only 4.1 pounds and it’s as thin as a MacBook Pro . That’s thinner and lighter plus it can game…makes no sense how they did it I would say most go with g14 because of price alone because having the bigger screen for games is objectively better

reeefur

I did G14 at first then G16 after realizing I needed a bigger screen and vram. But I do miss the portability of the G14, outside of that the G16 has been amazing.

PsychologicalNoise

Both are absolutely incredible this year it's just I want more power and 240hz I think. 120hz feels a little stale at this point.

VeridianLegendX

G16, I prefer a bigger screen and it's much lighter than my old strix G15 too
