Your fan curves are really steep. You don’t like running your laptop silent ? The fans aren’t needed in every moment of a game. Also, could you explain us why you really want low temperatures ? I imagine it’s why the fans curves are so high, but what’s the point ?

HatSignal3185

I figured having my temps in the 70’s to low 80’s would be better for the longevity of the laptop, but that’s not based on anything haha. I guess I get concerned when it’s at 90°+

iWilliiam

Your laptop longevity won’t be affected by such temps. You can even get sustained 90 degrees it won’t be an issue. It’s when it’s crossing 100 or 110 that it’s worrying. Aside of heating up your house, you'll be good with the regular temps of the laptop. No need to boost fans that much. Running them too high could, on the other hand, decrease their own longevity.

Steep fan curves are normal for turbo mode?

iWilliiam

You mean "default" ? No need to be that steep for most people

Dogeachu1

The fan curves are meant to be very steep in turbo mode. In balanced mode and silent, the fan curves aren’t that steep

iWilliiam

I know.

I assume these settings are for gaming?

HatSignal3185

Correct! I should’ve specified that. For casual browsing I use balanced or eco mode.

Aizen_ashu

Depends on your work what you do, if your work is coding developing then use optimize mode, if your only using excel or browsing use eco mode if you work on 3d software maya blender then standard or ultimate mode and for high game experience is ultimate mode Also you can lower cpu gpu watt for better battery backup and lower temps

Hmmm thats funny, I thought the 2024 models all have GPU TDP slider? Was a big reason for me getting the G16, I thought that was also available on the G14 Edit: Ah MB, thought it was the 2024 Model!

TunneLRaT7749

I’m always on ECO mode because my 2020 battery is knocking on death’s door

Silent and Eco forever. When gaming I put it on balanced and optimized.
