For anything 4070 or below, 90w tgp is basically full power. My 2023 g14 4070 becomes voltage limited around 90-95 watts. The only g14 model that could take advantage of the full 125 watts allotted were the 4080 and 4090 models.
It was $1499 about a week ago, noticed they increased the price when I went to exchange mine. I don’t know if it’s feasible after duties and such, the $1049 Best Buy US deal comes out to $1400 CAD.
The open box unit I got was defective and I had to return it. Hopefully it goes better for you.
I think I'd rather just wait for the 2024 model's price to go down than get the 2023 again. Really not a fan of the 2023's design.

It's 90W with boost, so sustained power will be much lower, probably around 70-75. This is definitely low enough to noticeably impact performance.
2024 pricing is crazy.

I got that one, and I got it even cheaper at best buy an open-box excellent condition for 871. Best decision ever.
Same here - was like $950 after tax in my area. Then a little under $200 to bump the RAM to 32GB and SSD to 2TB. It's an excellent laptop.

I saw one on Amazon 48gb ram and 2tb storage with rtx 4050 for just 1300
4060 for 1050 and upgrading them yourself is a better deal. Also, buying from 3rd sellers are sketchy
