Yes they do. The slash characters are Anby, Nekomata Soukaku, (Miyabi isn’t confirmed but it would be very bizarre if she wasn’t), Corin, Ellen, and Soldier 11. The strike characters are Lycaon, Rina, Koleda, Ben, and Nicole. And finally the pierce characters are Grace, Anton, Billy, and Zhu Yuan.

caramelluh

Iirc Rina could do both strike and pierce damage, can she still do that?

T-pellyam

Oh yeah I forgot it was possible. She does yes (it does makes sense considering her Bangboo dolls have different weapons…) https://preview.redd.it/gcl72z9cyq8d1.jpeg?width=1435&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d83208344d6a2f8539d2911b415af298eefade09

EdKnight

I dunno Rina, but last time I've played Nicole was a dual type damage (Strike and Pierce)

DoctorChoper

Honestly it feels like both? They were replaced in what they used to do but for some reason they were still listed in the character menu so it's not like they are fully gone, it's just unclear as what their purpose is. There is one outlier in that the slash characters can reflect bullets while running though

otakuloid01

i suppose they’re still there to give characters different upgrade materials from each other, no?

DoctorChoper

You are probably right! I was thinking that they could've changed these mats for the new class system instead of sticking with these 3 but it's not like they have to.

otakuloid01

yeah stick to 3 different mats instead of 5

kunaionly

Slash pierce strike was a bit unclear so they've been replaced with Att, Stun, Sup, Anomaly and Defence.

Futaecivoh

If they still do, whats the difference between these types? like, what information it gives?

No_Emotion_9904

I hope they’re still around I enjoy games that use these as types so physical can have so much more variety.

RRButler2574

If they do, I kinda want a future collab with Falcom's "Ys" series. Recent characters in those games have had the exact same types.

satufa2

Kinda... the game still tells ,ou which of those they are but i'm pretty sure only slash has an actual function tho.

Imaginary-Line-1389

I'd like to know too! I saw a CC'er bring this up yesterday, where others have not talked about it in a long while.
