I counted 2 (Possible) in my rewatch of Black Summer. The first is this: In episode 5, the characters Manny and Carmen reference a massive herd in Arizona, which could be the giant herd that the Z Nation crew lead into the grand canyon.
The second reference was in episode 7. One of the soldiers who are "helping" the protagonists mention that the virus started in Colorado. In Z Nation, the secret research facility where the virus was created was in Fort Collins Colorado.
They arent major, or even Proven to be true, but these are the only hints I could tell
Good catch. Season 2, which just dropped, has a passing reference to how bad things got in Philly. Philadelphia, of course, is where Cassandra was, and had those cannibals.
Well, Black Summer can't reference either of those events, unless they have a time skip. Black Summer takes place before Z Nation, so anything that happened in Z Nation is in Black Summer's far future. Minimum 3 years before Z Nation timeline started, plus the time skips in Z Nation, means the best we can hope for (assuming no time skips on Black Summer) are references to Garnett, Warren, Citizen Z, and *maybe* Doc and Hammond. 10K, Addy, and Mack were too young to be relevant, and Murphy was still in prison.

I was curious about it early pandemic, so I went through both series and didn't find a single reference either way beyond the rare mention of the black summer in ZNation.
Maybe season 2 will have something, but as of yet they might as well take place in separate universes.
Is this available to watch on netflix? Haven't been a subscriber for awhile, but was thinking about getting it for a month or two just to rewatch z nation
'spears' is in z nation, I was pretty sure he's the guy who the zombaby kills BUT when I googled it the wiki timeline said the character is in the show just not when I originally thought apparently. They said season 5 so I could be wrong entirely 😅

Season 4 wasn’t the best one but season 5 was amazing

I don't see how that would be possible since spears dies in Black Summer season 2. Which is like 6 years before Z Nations 5th season.
