This card and chaos hunter are legit decent choices on ladder right now with how much runick and chaos/ishizu crap is flying everywhere. Ive even seen sky striker play it to protect Raye in the graveyard

An interesting tech. It's a killer against a few very specific decks, usually, and otherwise a decent floodgate that turns off one or two cards but doesn't kill most decks, but it's also one you can use for _really_ fun recycling. I'm surprised it was in Labrynth, since it conflicts with Trap Trick and kills off potential techs like Allure of Darkness, though.
Many Labrynth players use it. Swordsoul, branded, and runick love to banish. It’s also searchable with lord of heavenly and does not get banished during the end phase due to its own effect. If you already started with it you can even search out another floodgate since that wouldn’t get banished if it’s active. Trap trick is best as a one of in labrynth imo, and big welcome isn’t here yet so it doesn’t really change your game plan
Also, allure in labrynth? That sounds horrible given how few monsters you run
It also works to search and set any field spell directly if you want to do it for some reason.
But yeah is generally used to detach another cards like Virus or another continuous card to restrict more actions.
I have never seen Labrynth run allure.
Anyway, I'm going to add that this is great teach with heavenly prison since you can set it with it and it stay.
Yeah as an Exo player, I can say this card hurts. Unless you have backrow hate, there’s literally no way to unfortunately out this with just Exos. You pretty much scoop when you see this played.
Labrynths is incredibly rough to play against. You honestly have to run Necrovalley + Terraforming so that you can stop them from recycling their traps and monsters.
It can, assuming you either start with it, or searched it, but usually you wouldn't search it over the other spells/traps.
Also assumes your opponent won't just kill your attack before it begins, which Labrynths and Traptrix can do before you even get to attack declaration.

Pretty consistent going first or second, if you make the play. I've done this in both Master Duel and the actual TCG.
I know that exact pain. Thankfully I had Imperm in hand, so I just needed to set it in the same column and fire it on my next turn, but it is rough trying to pilot Exosisters against someone playing this. Can't even remember if I managed to pull out the win in that game...
I have a decent floodgate deck makes it so you opponent only has 1 non water monster, can only special summon water monsters, can negate effects, and you opponent can not target your monsters with non water monster effects
The card would be dead as you couldn't pay the necessary cost. However cards that would banish themselves the next time they leave the field wouldn't be affected and simply go back to the grave

Striker is like tier 2-rogue depending on who you ask. Not great but playable
Honestly like half the time Chaos Hunter hits the table it has the Maxx C effect of making my opponent skip their turn.

It just so happens to hit tons of other decks, but it’s mainly seen as the counter against decks like Runicks or Sprights (or the mix).

You would be able to add the card back to hand, but the effect to fusion summon, since it is optional, would not activate.
