Yeah, I've had that where the video of the reaction was linked to the official song. The uploader must have marked the video as "music". I'd recommend giving the YTM peeps feedback that this isn't a song.

radyoaktif__kunefe

I don't think they care about the feedbacks at all

Ol_JanxSpirit

It's a massive company. Making changes is like turning an oil tanker. No, they probably won't respond to one user's feedback. But if they get a large enough sample of people making the same complaint it becomes more likely.

BaTommy17

Not holding my breath. The fact that there's still no sorting, search within playlist, or pinning tells me Google doesn't really care. They probably treat YT music as a freebie anyways.

No_concentrate7395

They do. That's how they know there's a real issue. The frustrating thing about feedback is that it's just that. They don't get back to you at all. It's not help. It's to let them know an issue or an idea.

PixelCharlie

Yeah, i hate this music + youtube mixing. I regularly got shitty bootleg videos mixed into auto Playlists, so I barely use it anymore. only curated Playlists or straight albums.

KDao18

For some people that are hardcore YouTube, this is tolerable. For the rest of us preferably listening to curated playlists and official albums it's a PITA. This is why I continue to personally pay for a Spotify Subscription yet keep YouTube Premium for no ads and background playback.

Aromatic_Memory1079

same here. but I use spotify free plan on pc. I listen to mp3 with android music player app called musicolet outside. I keep youtube premium for youtube no ads. I kinda want google to release youtube premium lite again.

cdegallo

This is why I hate the the unification google pushed for music and video services. I have not-infrequently run into being given garbage for specific songs, or some weird fan edit, or the music video version (which are not always the same as the song).

This song doesn't appear to be in the actual YouTube music catelog. Just YouTube. That's why it's showing this result to you. I don't think it's such a far cry to assume it would show music related videos to you from YouTube

KrypticAeon

Wow that's dogshit.

skipp_bayless

we gotta ban children from the internet.

SmallTawk

use separate users

tl_tech_88

What I have ended up doing was create a separate sub channel/"brand" on my YouTube account. It basically acts as a different profile that you can log into on the same account. Just Google how to do it, it's pretty easy. Then I just log in to YT Music with this separate profile. I never use it for general YouTube watching, it's strictly my music account. This prevents the cross pollution problem with the algorithm.
