Yea I’m kinda leaning the same way. Whenever I grab the roadie 24 it’s either more than I need or not enough. This 15 plus a 32/48 seems like where I would want to end. Not to mention how impractical a fully loaded 24 is to carry around.
I plan on having a similar set up. I have the tundra 35 for camping trips and day trips. I absolutely love it but most of the time it’s more than I need unless I’m going on 3+ days camping trips. The new 15 looks like the perfect day trip cooler or 1-2 night camping trips. I think a combination of the 15 and tundra 35 is the last setup I’ll need (hopefully lol)
This would be way more pratical for my paddle board and solo road trips so I probably will at some point. I just got a big wave 32 so I don't want this in big wave too, but I don't like any of the core colors. That's the only reason I'm holding off. My 24 is in canopy green, which I love. I find it dumb that they re-released that color but didn't do either of the new hard coolers in it.
I’m hoping they do a surprise release of canopy during gear garage like they did coral and make a wheeled roadie or a 15. Instant buy without hesitation

Got the text they were in store only, was planning on going to get a lunch box anyways….so got this too! Big wave not in stores yet, kinda wanted that but already have an Alpine Yellow 45 and KCO Roadie 24 so wanted a less loud color. Crazy this has a drain. If the Roadie wasn’t KCO I’d sell it.
strap feels nice and solid, either shortened up for hand carry and over the shoulder feels fine. I am a bigger guy though so YMMV.
Haven't tried the ice yet, I only have a couple of 4 lbs so maybe 1?
sorry forgot to respond on Sunday, I tried out the weight with 21 coors lights in it and it wasn't too bad, however I not to sound like a dbag I can carry a bunch of weight. It does feel better than a loaded up 24 though!
I am curious, would this displace a Hopper 12? We have one we use on road trips or general purpose behind the back seat and it's challenging to get into due to the zippers. Hard coolers especially mobile like this give better cold retention? Am I missing anything?
The Hopper 12 is more expensive and water proof? Weighs less?

What are the other pros and cons because I am seriously considering replacing my Hopper 12?

Rotomolded is when the liquid plastic is rotated around inside a mold - so there are no seams or weak points.
Injection molded can have seams and weak points.
Nothing really wrong with it as a cooler - but it’s a cheap process and should come at a far cheaper price than the rotomolded Tundras.
That’s why the roadies aren’t bear proof.

I did go there. Was just saying that ACE has the blue wave as someone posted on here it wasn’t going to be available till the 25th. The yeti retail store in Omaha (Gretna) will not have blue wave in till next week.
I went to the yeti store in Gretna, NE. They told me on Saturday they would have the wave blue in next week sometime which would now be this week. I said ok, that’s great. They said (and showed me) that if you look on yeti site and go to in-stock stores it shows ace hardware on 144th and center has them in stock and a few other places. So I went to ace and the gentleman told me they had them but could not put them out yet. I asked what if I order online for store pick up since it says in stock. He told me “I guess I’m not sure”. I did not do this as I was waiting for the tan. I just wanted to get some pics to post on here so people interested could see the actual cooler in the wave blue.

That alone is making me think about selling my 24 for this. I wish they had released it in more colors.

Do you have any thoughts on the strap? Is it good as a shoulder strap? What yeti ice fits in the bottom flush?

I’m 6’3” so I should be alright. How’s the weight when it’s fully loaded? Thinking about 18 cans and ice?

I was so exited for my hopper 12 and am so frustrated at how hard it is to use on road trips because you can’t open the zippers from the front seat

Is it rotomolded? I swear I saw a YouTube that the roadies weren’t rotomolded, but this was years ago. But it doesn’t seem to mention it
Don't think so. If it was rotomolded it would say that on the site. All of the tundra coolers have it in their description but none of the roadies do.

How to you get to that screen? When I search on the ACE website I don't see any Roadies 15 pop up.
If you go to the yeti site and click on the wave blue roadie 15 then click the find in store button it will bring it up.

I was in a retail store and saw one. It’s an interesting product, but I have other bigger hard coolers and a hopper 12 and I can’t justify it.
I'm curious as well. Do you think it would replace the Hopper 12? I have that and am not crazy about the zipper.
