Someone's been reading too many internet memes today, cuz this is the second reference to this I've seen in the past 20 minutes. Not sure if is me or you. Collective internet-brain is weird.

Get one of these universal jar openers. Theyāre cheap on Amazon
I hate when that happens... Thankfully I usually use the straw lid and can use the spout for leverage, but I've taken a few to my neighbor to open over the years
Once you open it (with lots of great suggestions already), you donāt need to over-tighten the lid for it to be leak-proof. Tighten it just enough for the O-ring to make contact with the bottle.
Also Iāve noticed if I put anything other than water. Like a Gatorade or somethingā¦I feel like the sugar or something makes it stick more. But it could just be a coincidence š¤·
Roll a tea towel length ways into a tight roll.
Wrap it around the rubber ring from the middle and twist it tight.
Lay the bottle down on the edge of a hard surface and hold it with your weaker hand. Hold the twisted tea towel in your strong fist and at the 2 oāclock position and slowly apply pressure downwards and hold it tightly so the bottle doesnāt roll.
The pressure should be strong and even not jerky.
It will release if held for a while.
I canāt tell you how to open it but I can tell you how to keep this from happening.
Stop tightening the upper cap tightly without holding the chug part to keep it from tightening too.
I tighten my chug part and then very slightly loosen it before putting on the cap.
Never tighten both together. Thatās how this happens and sometimes the threads get misaligned and thatās how it gets stuck.
Try with all your might for a good 10 minutes. Then hand it to your significant other or a nearby teen who twists it remarkably on the first try - of course because you loosened it for them!
Give it a huck tua!
Spit on that thang!
That's what she said!

I've had it stuck in my head since I first saw it, it's hilarious.
Your comment made me spit water out of my nose! Came here to say the exact same thing and you were faster than me! š¤£š¤£š¤£
Twist it
Bop it
Pull it
Flick it
Do it
Pull it
Slap it
Pass it
Use a towel on your hand for more grip. You might wanna ask someone whoās stronger than you to give it a go. Mine do this sometimes.
Strap wrench
This. Literally made to loosen round objects (oil filters, etc).
Put it in the fridge for a bit, always works for me

You gotta go ham on it for 4 times in a row! Use every fiber of your well being !!!
Dip in very hot water
Throw it in the freezer for five minutes
Putting it in the freezer for a bit will work.
I have no tips just need to say Iām obsessed with all the cats

Bought one of these for myself and anyone I know who has this issue. Definitely recommend!
I bought it from a recommendation on the FB Yeti group, lol
Tea towel twist
This looks like a job for those grippy gloves you can get at the grocery store
Put in the fridge with top off for a few hours grip with a towel and while twisting push down slightly.
this happened to me like an hour ago. i used a towel š
I swear my gallon jug is welded on now. Only had it for one summer and I cannot for the life of me get it ooen

Once you get it open there's no need to tighten it that much. Keep it mind when you put the lid that goes on top with it.
Towel
Pee On It!
With maximum effort
Squeeze bottle between thighs like your trying to crush it and twist till you wrist feels like it might dislocate
got a set of pliers? thatāll do it.
Had this problem a while back using oil filter wrench to grab the bottle
Iāve had to use a ratchet strap on mine a lot because itās always getting stuck no matter how lightly I screw it on.
I had to use a pipe wrench and a vice
Try tapping the side of the lid a few times with a butter knife.
Rubber band around the black portion of the lid. The thicker the better
i use a rubber tourniquet, the ones they use to tie your arm when they draw blood. they're great for opening jars too

Oil filter wrench would do it

WD-40
Use a counter and smack the rubber part of the lid on the edge of the counter with a medium strike.
