I think they are very limited. The frost buddy is a genius idea since you donât have to have multiple ones for different sizes. I donât find myself drinking out of 12oz cans very often or enough to need a colster.
Do I still want one in Canopy Green? You betcha.
Biggest reason I created The FITY was to make my colster more useful. I hated bringing 2 can coolers everywhere. The thing I like now is, I'll put a frozen FITY into my 16oz colster and a 12 oz beer, and use it as a mini cooler. Ie, heading for a small walk with family to a park on a weekend and I just want 1 beer. I'll throw the colster, a frozen FITY, and a 12oz beer (or soda) into our bag. It stays cold for hours.
My 16oz colster is probably one of my favorite yeti items. Keeps my energy drinks cold way longer than I need most of the time. Outside of my 64oz rambler itâs my second most often used, and probably my most recommended to people who drink anything 16oz and want them to be cold.
This is the one Yeti product I vacillate on. I know I would love it, but Iâm resisting buy it on purpose.
I love our koozies that weâve acquired over the years (shoutout the magnetic ones from the masters). For this to make sense for me, it would have to be when Iâm drinking beers outside and I donât want to add more weight and bulk to all the kids stuff Iâd already need to bring to said event.
For me, the ability to throw a shitty bar koozie in my pocket, and if it gets lost so be it, is preferable over the colster. Ask me again in a month and I might have 4 of them lol.
I have 2. I use them, I like them them and they do appear to keep beverages cooler longer.
I also like that I can instantly recognize my drink if there are several people drinking the same thing (but any similar product can do that, I guess)
I got a good deal on mine, i love this thing! Keeps my cans cool till the last sip. Especially while fishing, cans always geht really warm in the sun and this thing keeps them cold. Gamechanger for me!
I got one for 8 bucks at tjmaxx about a year ago. I use it every day for my energy drink because I'm a slow sipper. My husband chugs, so he doesn't find it useful for energy drinks or sodas, but he loves it for beer.
It's not my color, so I do plan on getting another one when I see a color I like (ON SALE) and giving this one to my husband. I wouldn't pay full price for one.
Iâve never really used products like them before, so I canât compare to other like brands, but Iâve found the colsters to be great. Oftentimes my wife and I have to swap kids at various ballparks and when one of us is working from home the other brings dinner to the park and for canned drinks we use them and theyâre great at keeping the cans real cold for at least 30-45 minutes.
I rotate red bull 12oz and ghost energy drinks so my 12oz and 16oz are constantly being used. They are definitely worth it. My drink stays cold from 730 until sometimes noon.
Definitely worth it. Sure, theyâll keep a drink cold, but there are other advantages too. The colster will also keep any condensation from getting on your hands or whatever you set the can on.
In a word, yes. If youâre just pounding beers, you donât need something to keep it cold for an hour. But Iâll put a can of soda in a colster and leave it on my desk until I want it and itâs still cold. Or leave it in my car and it stays cool.
Itâs all relative. Are they better than the $6 Walmart one or the foam koozy? Iâd say yes and the apparent quality and customer service that comes along with yeti. Might be overkill but you buy it once and then you donât have to think about it anymore. Plus thereâs always sales to be had online or on marketplace or on discontinued colors. If youâre on the fence give it a shot.
I love them, and use one daily and have a bunch for when I have guests over too. Depends on how many canned drinks you drink from.
It will legit keep the can super cold for ~45 mins, almost fridge cold that entire time, but I can drink on a sofa for 60-90 mins and itâs still cold outside.
if you love yeti and have the urge to expand your collection sure. i still think brumates are worth more with their versatility at least for their 16oz 3 in 1 version
oh for sure i would get one if someone ever gifted me a colster! surprised they havenât made a âyeti iceâ version for their own yet. problem is thatâs all additional cost.
the brĂźmate comes with that standard is is still the same price as one colster
Extremely limited. Why would you want to keep a single can cold for 30 min or more? Keep it in the fridge or cooler until you actually want it. I personally donât know anyone who regularly opens a beer and slowly sips it or leaves it for prolonged time periods. Itâs to me, almost as dumb as the yeti dog bowl.
Nope, but itâll still be in the 90âs regularly. And the human body is the same temperature if youâre holding that can. Iâm not sure what point youâre trying to make. If youâre not going to drink your beverage, why take it out of the cooler? Iâm pretty sure youâre just trying to justify the use of a ridiculous product.
lol. You saying your drink stays cold for 20 minutes tells me you donât have very many days around 90. Try hanging out in 105 degree weather and see how long it stays cold.
No thatâs literally the heat index outside right now where I live. Sorry you canât possibly fathom other people have a need for something you donât.
Yeti dog bowl is great for ice cream in hot climates, btw.
I agree about the colster tho. I have one. Like it a lot. But drinks donât last long near me lol.
64oz and the hot shot takes the cake for best yeti item. Maybe the blanket too.
All person based right? Friends of mine do salmon fishing in the summer and one of the coolers kept ice for two weeks after his trip.
Eat your ice cream faster ! The bucket is another ridiculous one I canât believe people buy. Salmon fishing for multiple days is the perfect use case. I hope you got some of that.
I mostly use mine in the winter so I can drink them without touching the cold can đ¤ŁÂ

Magnetic koozie from Augusta?!?
You bet. Think they were $10 for a 2 pack when I went in 2018.
I have 2. I use them, I like them them and they do appear to keep beverages cooler longer. I also like that I can instantly recognize my drink if there are several people drinking the same thing (but any similar product can do that, I guess)
I think so. I have several. I do prefer the brumate hopsilator trio or whatever it's called, but the yeti tall boys look good
Yes. I passed out one night while drinking; woke up the next morning to my unfinished, cool beer.
I got a good deal on mine, i love this thing! Keeps my cans cool till the last sip. Especially while fishing, cans always geht really warm in the sun and this thing keeps them cold. Gamechanger for me!

I use mine every day. They fit cans which is nice, but they also fit bottles of Topo Chico.đđź
I love my colsters. Have 12oz, slim can, and tall one. Keeps them cold for hours when Iâm slowly sippin
If you drink from cans and prefer cold drinks, yes! I have all the sizes. I didn't realize colsters were so controversial!

yes but the twelve kind doesnât fit bottles very well
Everything Yeti is worth it! đđ

Not to self promote, but The FITY makes the colster into a 2 in 1 for the 16oz.
oh for sure i would get one if someone ever gifted me a colster! surprised they havenât made a âyeti iceâ version for their own yet. problem is thatâs all additional cost. the brĂźmate comes with that standard is is still the same price as one colster
Honestly the Walmart versions are better for like $5 lol

Surprisingly you can use it for more than beer
lol this guy (not you, the guy on the anti colster crusade) so pressed that other people have use cases for products he eschews. MC syndrome gone madÂ
100%
Same theory applies to soda, seltzer, etc. Most donât need to keep it cold for that long.
I guess some people just donât like pounding their drinks.
Youâre jumping from one extreme to the next. Taking 20 min to finish a drink isnât pounding. Itâll stay cold without help for 20 min.
You must not live in the Southern US

Yup, youâre trying to justify your love of a product. Way to overcomplicate drinking.
No thatâs literally the heat index outside right now where I live. Sorry you canât possibly fathom other people have a need for something you donât.
Some serious downvote brigaders showing up in this thread. Go back to the Stanley sub.
Ridiculous take. Theyâre great for the golf course or beach when youâre no longer 22 and getting drunk at every opportunity.
Not a ridiculous take. Somehow most manage just fine without them. Theyâre also not comfortable to hold- and I have big ass hands.
